This card seems to lack synergy with The Marsh Queen. After you get Queen Carnassa you will want to keep cycling with Carnassa's Brood and this 1 mana 4/3 might ruin the infinite draw chain a bit.
Personally, I think Blizzard is setting up for another hand buff failure. 3 cards so far Are directly created to work with quest and are bad otherwise.
Tolvir draw card
this raptor
and the quest itself
If the quest deck type fails, that's 3 hunter cards that are basically useless/unplayable. right now Msog had
dispatch kodo
trogg beastrager
hidden cache
shaky zip
and msuggler's
5 cards that were to work with the hand buff hunter deck that literally were there just to support the deck type.
then shitty cards like
knuckles and Piranha launcher were thrown in also
so 7 of their 9 cards were unplayable when hand hunter failed leaving only rat pack and alley cat as viable.
Currently.
Swamp king dread is somewhat playable but may also not be if the meta is too fast
Like I said those 3 quest related cards are only playable in quest decks
RazorMaw is AMAZING and will see play the same way alley cat and rat pack see play But lets step back a second. If they release 2 more quest related cards and quest fails, Hunters fucked again since half their cards will be unplayable...
You need to play this sub-par 1 drop and then hope to draw the sub-par 5 drop (Tol'vir Warden) AND hope it pulls the big raptor just so you can play it on turn 6. I dunno man... I'll reserve full judgement for now, there's a lot to test with the new quest.
Unless blizzard add some good new draw options for hunters this card (and the whole archetype) is doomed to be useless.
Tol'vir Warden is not enough for a deck that wants to draw and play 7 (!!) 1 drops as fast as possible, the reason zoo lock is so good is the draw power of the hero power, without it you are gonna topdeck from turn 5 until the end of the game.
Am i missing something?I mean this card looks decent in a hunter deck looking to complete the quest since both are fetchable with Tolvir Warden, but i certainly don't see this card as "broken".Its a decently statted 1 drop beast that shuffles a very slow card into your deck, that will do nothing for you if topdecked. It's not a "2 mana 6/4".That being said i like the card, hunter needs good 1 drops to make the quest solving easier :)
exactly this. I dont get why people are freaking out
The card is fair, It comes with a fair body for its cost and it does something when it dies. It would be far too good if it put the 4/3 raptor directly into your hand. Shuffling a card with 3 mana worth of stats for 1 mana into your deck can be really powerful, and even though actually drawing may be considered slow, a 1 mana 4/3 itself is not exactly what I would call a slow minion, that is actually a pretty good board presence.
You will probably be playing other 1 cost cards if you are playing with the quest and you will not be building your strategy around just 1 card, you will probably be using multiple 1 cost cards which have strong abilities so you will not necessarily just be relying on this one card, you have a deck of other useful minions as well, this is just 1 card that fits into your deck in order to be able to complete the quest and it actually shuffles another card into your deck which also helps you to complete the quest as well as giving you quite a powerful minion. This is a pretty good card for hunter decks utilizing the quest and it can even be good outside of those specific decks because being able to get a 1 mana 4/3 later on is still quite strong tempo wise.
A card does not have to outright win you the game on the turn it comes out for it to be good.
A 4/3 that costs 1 mana is still a very good tempo play later on because of how cheap it is, and the hunter quest itself ends up giving you card draw. And there is a good chance you will NOT be dead before you draw this, who knows what the meta will look like after this expansion comes out, and pirate decks now are not as fast as they were with pre nerf small time buccaneer. And not every deck you will play against will be against a pirate deck.
My issue is just a bit of a picky one. Why would a dead Raptor generate another, more impressive Raptor? It makes me wonder if this is one of those cards Dean Ayala was talking about that gets created at the last minute to balance/boost a class, and they just lobbed a name onto a card & mechanic.
Please, a little creativity and imagination: If a baby dies, wouldn't the mother or father call for revenge? If there is some carrion, wouldn't this attract a beast (if not for the carrion then for whatever the cause of the carrion)? And these are just two obvious reasons. There might be hundreds more.
I personally do not think this is a good card at all. I mean a 4/3 at turn 6? this isn't gonna help hunter get out of the pit. what it needs is a turn 1 power creep, just like shaman's trog.
Good only for quest The Marsh Queen , but hunter needs card draw badly!

Thank you Small Raptor !
If a 1 mana beast comes out that is 1/1 adapt itself, this card will never see play in anything but quest hunter.
Starving Buzzard and Cult Master hunter meta.

People still making a big deal out of shuffle into your deck cards in 2017?

Brace yourselves brethrens The Raptorpocalypse is upon us! Dark times await!
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
Hunter iz the new Jade?
Hunter T1 deck.... Nice!
I almost regret pre-purchasing the expansion now. Hunter is going to be so broken and unfun to play against. The new pirate warrior without a doubt.

Very disgudting one drop, at least is a deathrattle and you don`t get the value inidately, also a auto include for the Hunter quest.
