I vote meta defining but now i realize this card is not really good as first glance Reason is in quest deck you cant play this card at turn 1 because you need to active quest first,so if you drop 2 Small Raptor at turn 2 and BEST case scenario can happen is a 4/3 token appear in turn 3 and its total fair,so many class can deal with 3 hp minion at turn 3 In non quest deck this isnt better because hunter really bad at draw card, you dont have Carnassa's Brood to cycling your deck and use Tol'vir Warden (which dont have beast tag and poor statline) is big tempo sacrifice in midrange deck,a 4/3 token will be dead card if you topdeck it at turn 5 or later Balanced design
I think fiery bat is better. At least thats a deathrattle that does something immediatly.
Adding a 1 mana card to your deck when hunter barely has any card draw only makes the deck worse, not better. I rather draw a strong 6 mana card on turn 6 then a 1 mana 4/3 card without battlecry/deathrattle.
Only upside would be the quest, but by the time you draw this, you might be just as dead as you are in the current meta.
Lack of efficient card draw for Hunter makes this card less good, IMO, than a lot of folks in this thread seem to think.
The card itself is fine--just as a lot of the individual cards for Hunter in MSG are as well--but I don't see how the Hunter cards we've seen so far help you keep up with Pirates or deal efficiently with the parade of cheap taunts people are going to be playing to stop them....
if this said "shuffle a Kill Command" in your deck it'd be crazy good, because I want to be drawing direct damage late game, not a 1 mana 4/3.
Tol'vir Warden and The Marsh Queen makes this card significantly better, otherwise I don't think it would see play. It's definitely not as OP as a lot of people seem think it is.
Now they are starting to release the feared OP 1-drops. This is what i was waiting for.
I havent preordered yet, and i wont until i see all the cards. I wont preorder if more crap op 1 and 2 drops are released. Yea first they show us the quests and shiny control cards, always showing the control carrot at the end of the stick just to end up being fake and the game being dominated again by aggro.
I know it for sure: if more early game op crap is released im out for good. So tired of the meta never slowing down even the tiniest bit.
Hello guys , i'm playing on Eu server for three years so far.I mostly like and play control type of decks. If you clear the board constantly , draw answers and stabilize is way more fun than just playing hunter and pressing hero power for fifteen turns . Anyways recently i started posting my built decks/theories because i'd like to share my ideas and to see other people's thoughts about them. Any suggestion/comment is more than welcome .
it's strong but not as crazy as people think, the vanilla 4/3 doesn't have much use late game and the only way this is broken is when you topdeck the 4/3 during turn 2 which has a really low chance already, however a 1 drop beast can serve to activate Kill Commandin the mid/late game.
Edit: needless to say, Fire Fly is still better to complete the quest but you could just run Both and forget about runnning any other 1 drop since 2x Fire Fly and 2x small raptor are already 8 1 drops, the rest of your deck could be the typycal mid-range hunter value core.
It's a good card, but people are overrating it. Let's not forget, that a 1-drop, a 4/3 1-drop, but still a 1-drop. It can trade well with bigger minions and can deal good face damage as well. Unfortunately, the part of it going back into the deck makes it questionable, since drawing a 4/3 raptor will be worse then a 3/2 raptor "draw a card". Tol'ver Warden is getting better and better.
With this card, it is becoming even more evident that the quest is designed for mid-ranged to late-game hunter. They don't want you to overload your deck with 1-drops. This is great news since it allows the hunters to play a natural game instead of the rush them and hope they don't have a taunt, cause trust me, they will have a lot of taunts.
I am really looking forward to this. Looks like we are finally getting a controlish hunter :) Can't wait for the rest of the set to be released.
Also, enough with the Raptors and Rexs Blizz. Seriously there are other dinos. How about we get some other dinos now?
Just to put all the Maelstrom Portal comments to rest, cards that generate random minions never generate token minions, so the 4/3 will never pop out. If you get the 2/1, its like weasel-tunneling yourself with a slightly better minion. Sadly, pretty much every card in a shaman deck these days is better than a 1-mana 4/3, so having it in your deck is more harmful than helpful.
Very good especially for a midrange hunter looking to complete the quest without running too many 1 drops. I was already thinking of running firefly for that reason, even if hunter won't get elemental synergies of their own. Seems like starving buzzard could crawl from under the rock, she's been hiding ever since the nerf.
cult master is certainly possible too. Between the one drops... One drop draw ... Board spam and one drops with buzzard and cult.... You could have quite the draw engine with Hunter
This card is a worse firebat that pollutes your deck. Not even good in quest hunter, because u want to complete the quest as fast as possible around turn 5-6
1 mana 2/1= meh 1mana 4/3 = insane. On average this card is good, especially since hunter quest. At least the main body is not insane just the token, but considering that you will be able to almost consistently get the quest done by turn 6 and play it's reward. I assume that the quest hunter runs maybe the rhino and perhaps a few othe big things for the mid or late game but that it is like 16-22 one drops. This fits in that list because of how much draw it gets to find that 4/3 and the one drop itself is not bad considering you go for quest.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?

Thank goodness you'll likely only draw this from playing Tol'vir Warden because this puts Shamstone cards to shame.....
Very good card against priest

Almost exclusively geared toward quest hunter, major Tundra Rhino synergy as well.
Possible beast hunter potential, but it seems a bit slow.
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Well that's it, im crafting the hunter quest 100% now, this just makes it too good
Golden legendary cards opened: Ragnaros the Firelord, Auctionmaster Beardo, Kalimos, Primal Lord
Insane quest buff, prepare yourself for the raptor army.

The best part of this card is is means you can main deck fewer 1 drops for the quest.
otherwise, not good.
Are you dumb? This card is a one drop when yo play it it helps the quest
Holy fuck. Well, I know what my second class is going to be.
If Hunter proves to be strong in Un'Goro, you can expect a lot of Madness to be Potioned and Shadowed, and a lot of minds to be changed. :)
