The pool of good weapons makes up a much higher % then the pool of good minions. So I'd imagine this is an amazing way for warrior to gain removal as well as add burst (can be 2 extra reapers or an extra gorehowl). Can even used turn 2 as a fiery war ax. This card is insane.
Actually, I'm not so sure about this card. Warrior weapons are usually top of the line from a stats perspective - the question is what weapon from other classes would you rather have instead of a Warrior weapon? Doomhammer sure, but other than that? Truesilver maybe? There's a LOT of low class weapons out there now.
You'd probably be better off throwing in a Gorehowl instead of waiting for this to shift into something good and usable. Cursed Blade every turn incoming.
like Pirate warrior needs any buff..Pirate warrior with doomhammer...
If Pirate Warrior wants to run this, I'm fine with it. Mainly because it's awful in Pirate Warrior, and if you're banking on getting a Doomhammer you're probably not going to have a high success rate. Pirate Warrior wants consistency and struggles with that as it is, this card does nothing to alleviate that.
I think this is meant to be a fun card, so I don't actually imagine it'll be competitive. It's an interesting design though since you can run two. :)

is it like shifter zerus that keepd handbuffs through transformation?, because that means Hobart Grapplehammer could see some niche play, still a fun deck but an interesting one
Huge difference, one transformed into any minion, which decreased the probability of becoming viable for the right turn. Weapons are a smaller pool, one which has a much larger number of viable fish. Zerus was just hopeless from the get go, this one has a chance.
The biggest problem with Zerus is that to be worth playing, you had to hit the sweet spot of getting a minion that is both good quality and that you could afford that turn. It rarely happens because there are so many bad minions and high-cost minions. Most often, you'd get offered 5+ mana minions until turn 5, and then garbage minions once you have enough mana.
There are (as of now) 20 weapons that will be in standard. Of those, four of them cost 2 mana or less, and nearly half cost three or less (and most of them are pretty good). There's also only 5 weapons that are really bad. So the chances of getting a good playable weapon on turns 2-4 is fairly high. Once you're in the later game, there's about 7 high quality 5-7 mana weapons, so you have a 1/3 chance every turn of getting one of those. This is so much better than zerus.
That's definitely something I hadn't considered, the weapon pool being smaller might make the results a lot more relevant in more situations; I guess maybe my main issue is that I don't see this being better than just running one of Warrior's already great weapons. Do you run this alongside Fiery War Axe and Gorehowl in Warrior lists? It just seems like it introduces more variance than you'd want to your list, and unlikely to still be very good.
Don't get me wrong, I think the card is sweet. I'm just a bit unsure it's more than a fun card in a world where we still have FWA and Gorehowl.

This is not bad, I would say at some point you will get a good weapon and weapons are much safer to just throw out there. Like by the time you get doomhammer you probably can play it, not consistently great but good enough to make midrange warrior.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
This card is seriously overrated. You'd be much better off putting the guaranteed Fiery War Axe, Arcanite Reaver etc than waiting for this to turn into a weapon that matches the situation.

Well Shifter Zerus got fucked
malkorok will stop to give cursed blades and will give molten blades... its a buff.
Iksar said on the stream that non-collectable weapons are not included in the effect.

Who's the Beatdown?
Pirates win the game long before they could even think about playing a Doomhammer, so that's kind of a dumb thing to wish for.
The best weapons for Warrior are already Warrior weapons, and you certainly don't need a third copy of any of them.
But as has been mentioned, Gluttonous Ooze makes all weapon-based strategies worse, so it probably doesn't matter.

Warrior already have the best weapons in the game, he dont need a random one.

Ben replies, "Yeah, we could have given it to rogues, but they are already tier one right?"
Gluttonous Ooze is revealed along with this card.
So, no more worries about weapon abominations, but instead Priests with 10 Armor, and 40 HP.
