After the release of this card I urge mods to add another option on the "what do you think about this card" poll. I need a "This cards makes me want to quit hearthstone" option.
How can anyone not see that this card being added to the hunter class is a #$%# mockery. Here's a life fact for ya: HUNTERS WILL NEVER HAVE A GOOD CONTROL DECK. Why? Well, have you seen the hero power? #%@*, have you played the game long enough to be bored just about the sufficient amount to start doing science? The moment you go just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit into less aggressive midrange territory, BAM! Your deck sucks.
How the flying @#$& do you expect to play a FIVE MANA 3/5 and still win that game, as a hunter? Because
YOU DON'T
This is just YET ANOTHER Shadowbomber, a card that makes ZERO sense in the class they are in, and will NEVER see play in any remotely competitive deck. In other words: a waste of time, space in the collection and ultimately your money. This is lazy and uninteresting design, this is an insult to the player base, this is them saying "yes, we will print this and you will buy packs, and this turd is going to be in some of them, sometimes even golden, so you can love it and keep it forever in your collection as a token to remember how pointless your life is"... okay, I got a little bit carried away there, but you get the point.
Why not make this as a paladin card? Hell, maybe even rogues could have better uses for getting rid of 2 dead cards and that 3/5 body. But no, make it a #@#&* hunter card.
Bro, I think you might wanna take a step back and chill for a minute. It's not like non-aggro Hunter isn't perfectly theoretically viable. It just hasn't happened yet. If you're biggest concern is the Hero Power, then just look at Warrior. Armor Up is absolute crap for aggro, and yet considering what you picked for your avatar, I'm sure you know aggro Warrior is doing fine.
Wth with you ppl, 5 mâna draw 2 card is insane. Hunter tends to have quite a few 1 cost minion. And we also may have interesting 1 drop in this expansion.
If it was "draw two cards" it would be amazing. But it isn't. Drawing cards isn't good if they aren't good cards or don't offer some other benefit. This may see some use but it isn't very good unless there are a bunch of one drops you want to play on turn six or later.
One of the most undervalued cards in the polls; and sorry, but it shows that most people don't have any clue about this game. This is a 1 1/2 mana draw 2 cards. And you also draw specific cards with it. That is insane. Yes, you draw 1 mana minions, but this not gives you 2 cards to play, and this can smooth out the mana curve (leaving 1 mana on board can quite hurt you). And you clean up your deck of minions that you definitively DON'T want to draw as an top-deck.
Card draw is always good, here you draw 2 cards for a minimal loss. I originally saw it as an 3/3 and thought it is playable, but as a 3/5 it is quite strong. And far stronger than the paladin one, since it's a battlecry.
Might be much stronger in wild than in standard, since there are more valueable minions there even in the lategame like Webspinner for example.

Except that warrior has a ton of support in the form of very aggressive cards that allow it to simply never hero power and be perfectly fine with it. Not to mention that if you're playing aggro, you don't want to hero power at all (unless if you're hunter), because you need to concentrate all the tempo you can in the earlier turns. On the other hand, if you're playing control, you need to fill your turns with hero powers, because otherwise you run out of steam. Hunter does not have cards that support a control style game, all the good cards are aggressive.
Or am I missing something here? Powershot new meta? Explosive shot wipes the board 100%? Explosive trap deals with jade golems ez mode? Lol.
It's good, 1 drops are OP in this game. It thins your deck and you get extra fuel with webspinner and 2 bodies with ugly cat/cute cat
You still wanna highmane t6 when possible and use the 1 drops to fill your curve holes
Problem is hunter is still bad early game and is too fair midgame so it really needs extra help to make it a good class in standart
Glaivezooka definitly helps that in wild.
Hunter has no good turn 1, and even if they print a Tunnel Trog for hunter that dosen't justify this shitty card lol
Also building turn 1's means you can draw them instead of this... Think people, use your brains.
You even said so, hunter has bad early game... so if u use a shitty card to draw that bad early game... wtf? And they are not going to print 3 Tunnel trogs for hunter in 1 expansion. And even with that i think its not worth.
it's not that hunter has "bad" early game, it's only bad in standart because it doesnt have bord control tools. In wild glaivezooka gives it a good early game. Hunter has good 1 drops. Cats & webspinner are great. Argent squire is alsways a good option and it has perfect synergy with glaivezooka. Even bat is decent, the problem is the pirate meta which makes bat underwhelming.
With only cats, websipnners and argent squires this card will work well. You will also often hit a one drop in t1. And thining them will help your topdecks a lot.
Grandma, mad scientist and glaivezooka are all very good t2
Hunter has only loatheb and sludge as real t5. And sludge is a little outdated these days. Loatheb is fine. Its even worse in standart were hunter doesnt have a real t5 at all.
This isn't about drawin two 1 drops. This card makes easier draw Savannah Highmane by taking the low mana cards from your deck making easier to go deeper.
Good card.
okay-ish card at best imo. it succeeds when you already didn't draw well.

And you think it's impossible to give Hunters comparable control support? No, it's perfectly possible. Have some imagination. They just haven't done it yet. But really, there's no reason to be so vehemently upset about one card you don't think is great. Every expansion, every class gets multiple cards that aren't very good. It's not a big deal.
People who think this card is bad are advised to take a look at Small time recruits.
...to see how a better card at a better spot on curve with better deck synergy still never sees play?
The card is massively good in aggro paladin decks, the reason you don't see it is because the archetype itself isn't good in the current meta. I suppose by your logic savannah highmane isn't a good card because midrange hunter doesn't see play right now? Also, this actually puts a body into play, unlike STR. You could actually compare it to azure drake, since it draws two "half cards" and puts a similarly stated minion into play.
Just like Inspire, this is best Turn 7 wouldve liked to see better stats, a 4 cost or 4 attack but it might be too overpowered with Hunters ability to do so much damage to face, should they so choose. Hunters need a new weapon though. This card is great for not top decking a 1 cost and getting more useful cards in your hand. Will be great with Small Time Buccaneer, Secretkeeper, Alleycat, any 1 cost that buffs attack or like leper gnome that does dmg. I can see this being a great 5 drop for Hunters, especially control Hunters.

He dosen't need to step back and chill for a minute. People needs to use their brains and every single person in this forum needs to realise how BAD this cards. Blizzard NEEDS to fucking pull their shit together and do something real about their card game, people is already tired of getting ripped of expansion after expansion with the game they used to love. This card is a savage insult to any Hunter played that wanted a Tempo/control build.
Also.. You play aggro Warrior cuz of WEAPONS... The best weapons in the game, they go face, and u need to put a fucking oze or harrison to interact with them, a dead card in many other matches, that's why... u cannot use them a defense, it's completly normal to be raging about this card, they're spitting on us and 30% of you are fine with it.
Most of us are fine with it because it's a card game and we're not raging little children, though. Jesus Christ go play something else, surely the game isn't worth this level of vitriol and hatred yet still keeps your patronship?
Yeah it's not a great card, okay, Hunters have one bad card so far this expansion. Well damn better throw a childish little hissy fit about it eh?
I think the card is Playable (my vote) but I could be underestimating it. Even if you only run 4 one-drops, the cats n' bats, you will only rarely have pulled 2 of them by turn 5. Drop this and pull the other two. Now you have your guaranteed cheap-ass synergy for Kill Command, Houndmaster, andTundra Rhino for turns 6+. Add in the deck-thinning to find your fatties, and I may have to up my vote.

No, sure, I know that there are going to be bad cards, but it really pisses me off when they make a card that could be playable in other classes, it could be fairly good in paladin, maybe even strong. But instead print another shadowbomber. And like... they know it.
And sure, maybe one day in wild you could build a hunter control deck that would be competitive in the current standard... but by that time I'm sure wild will be on a completely new level of crazy interactions going on, rendering your frankenstein useless. I don't think there is ever going to be a standard viable control hunter deck, going by what we've seen up to this day... they release a couple of cards that look prommissing, like Steamwheedle Sniper, but never give it enough context... I can't help but wonder what the point is.
Being underrated. Hunter will take card draw in any form. Expect it to see play once we see the entire expansion. Right now it'll only get Argent Squire, Alleycat, Abusive Sergeant, or Mistress of Mixtures, but wouldn't doubt we see one or two others in the set.

do you really want to play a 5mana 3-5 body on turn 5 as a Hunter? and do you really want to play 2 1-1s on turn 6 as a hunter?
never lucky

Absolute trash unless an insane one drop
Hunters would want to play a highmane over 2 1mana cards on turn 6
I'm guessing one of the epics is gonna be a one drop with an effect like Multi-Shot or some new gimmiky stuff on it.

Needs to be: Draw two 1 cost cards and give them +1/1
