Shifter Zerus? Clear your deck from dead draws in late game?
This card is almost pre-nerf Ancient of Lore because is for the class have the worse card draw in game.
haha, that is a pretty awesome draw from this. Glacial shard could also be good too, with Hunter's ability to just damage the face each turn being able to freeze the opponents board and maintain board can be pretty powerful.
It's not draw 2 cards, why do people insist on being wrong. On 5 mana you draw two one-drops from your deck if you didn't get them already. If you did you didn't need this card, if you didn't, congrats you finally drew your early game...turn 6. *clap*

Right because there going to get better at 7/8/9 mana right? If you want one drops, mulligan for them. One drops in this game are good on turn one(and maybe 2/3), not 6+. If it was play them from your deck onto the board then this card would be pretty scary. As of right now barring some really op one drop that's poorly designed kind of op just to make this card good or like spell that says give your one drops +10/+10 seems smelly stinky garbage.

Are Alleycat and Fiery Bat not good enough? We know that timber wolf isn't really.

Why does everyone assume you have to play them? How about holding them back and just play your Savannah Highmane while having fetched out all your 1-drops so you won't topdeck them? Sure you need more 1-drops to make it worth it, but just like Mysterious Challenger it will increase your draw quality in the lategame, whih is a big deal for Hunter.
And just like Mysterious Challenger if the cards it pulls aren't worth it, it won't see play. Mysterious Challenger was effectively gone from standard when Paldin lost its best secret, avenge. This will see play if the value of up to two one drops in hand (considering the odds of even pulling two and the costs to your deck of running extras) is more than the tempo lost by playing this card.
To use it I need impactful late game one drops. Finley is an impactful one drop because changing your hero power is good any time the game, so he worked with curator for decks that ran him. The new ice shard could be impactful as a one mana freeze but that depends on what you are facing. The question is are there enough of them and are they good enough early and late to not compromise whatever deck you are running.

Good point on thinning out the deck. I suppose you can use 1 drops to activate Kill Command or they could be hand-buffed as well...
Wish it had Beast synergy. Hell I'd even take Elemental synergy.
That's exactly the point though. You drop it, you get some low-cost elementals, you drop them to prep for, say, Ozruk.
Let's say turn 7 you drop this and Hero Power, or Quick Shot or something. Turn 8 you drop say Glacial Ele + Fire Fly + Flame Elemental + something else 5 drop, and then turn 9 you have a 5/20 Ozruk. Or I'm sure there will be other hunter/neutral elementals with the same type of trigger.
1. Put plenty of 1-drops in your deck so that you actually draw them on turn 1 and but then "thin your deck" so you draw your playable cards after turn 6.
2. Put an appropriate amount of 1-drops in your deck so you either draw them early and have a useless understatted 5-drop, or you don't draw them and then play this card and draw 1-drops you don't want to play.
3. it's turn 5, 6, or 7 and shit I have no more cards, drop this and suddenly have something to play because I'm playing a fast deck and this is my highest costing card.
Those are the three scenarios I predict. In the first two....why not just play cards you actually want to play? The third one has potential.
You forgot a scenario:
Put specific 1-drops in your deck that can actually have a high impact in the mid-to-late game, such as any of the Elemental 1-drops they've revealed. Then also include other cards that synergize with those.
Oh guys Lets clarify one thing who says it will prevent you to top decking 1 drops. First thing is that you cannot put more than 4- 1 mana minion to your deck it is not wise for Hunter because you are not able to rotate your hand with hunter. So let assume that you put 4 one mana minion to your deck you cannot put 2 of this trash into your deck because after you use one other one will turn into a vanilla card without beast synergy and you will eventually top deck a vanilla card. So you can only put one into your deck so you will have 4 one drop and one this card in your deck. But what do you think is the possibility of drawing this card before you draw 4 one drops? it is pretty much low because holding this card at your starting hand is out of question but we more likely try to draw low cost cards to our starting hand if you go first you have 27/1 chance to draw this card at your first turn and each turn possibility decreases only by one but possibility of drawing one drops also decreases by how much one drop you hold at your hand so at the end you will likely have %40 chance to get 3 one drops before you draw this card. So eventually the card you are planning to use to prevent top decking useless one drops at late game will turn into a vanilla card you top deck.
Wait for the rest of the reveals people. We have only seen 2 Hunter cards. I bet in the live-stream tomorrow they will reveal some other hunter cards and why they made a card like this.
Edit: Maybe the hunter quest has something to do with drawing stuff from your deck. As they said the quests that still need to be revealed are very unique. Like the Rogue Quest
It can be used to fish out the new 1 mana elemental that freezes enemies or even a hunter's mark to reduce a big enemy's health to 1. I think this card is actually a lot better than people think because you still draw 2 cards and get a 3/5 body for 5 mana which is actually insane. But I am guessing people are just going to automatically dismiss it because if a new card is not brokenly overpowered, than it is automatically hot steaming garbage, hell even for some of the more powerful cards revealed so far people have been finding excuses to call them trash.
This is why players do not see cards coming. So many new cards are getting called trash that people are going to get surprised when a new card bodies them in a match and then get upset over it.
Edit: I didn't read that it can only draw minions. Ah well on reflection its still could be good but unfortunately because of the state that hunter is in right now, it is probably going to need more than this to be good.

Looks really bad, unless hunters are getting a quest about playing X 1 mana minions or a really good 1 drop, like 1 mana 7/7

Playing this on turn 5 is too slow for a class with no taunt, AoE, heal, comback mechanism, infinite value or pirates. luls.
