Yeah the card IS strong, but not oo imho. You aren't gonna destroy many creatures with 3dmg, since you can't Combi much anything on the same turn. The 1-1s feel lackluster. Heal 12 IS genuently a good effect, but probably not good enough to save you from losing. And If you want to burn you shouldn't do it with a 8 mana Minion...
I really, really like this card. I love shaman and my main in WoW is shaman. Super happy about this as it is a flexible control card! none of this aggro bull crap which gets boring, really loving the elemental tribe so far i think its awesome. This is enough to make me pre order now. I think its just a massive shame that the shaman quest sucks (its either just bad or encourages the aggro cancer we all hate) would of been nice to have an elemental quest but i guess that will go to mage now which is a pity and they dont even use them that much in WoW or in general.
I also agree with the whole 6 dmg to face seems strange but hey ho.
thus you can choose between better abyssal, ragnaros lightlord, king krush face or onyxia
exactly; I don't overlook at the set up it needs, but isn't the battlecry a little bit too powerful?
Edit: Just look at the druid "chose one" - cards: they are powerful, because they are a combination of two cards (like wrath - 3 dmg to a minion or 1 dmg + card), they take only one card slot
I think that, except for warlocks, every class that had their legendary revealed so far would trade theirs for this in a heartbeat :p
I think everyone so far, including Warlocks, would trade their legendary for this one.
Warlock is getting a totally forced archetype, Discardlock, which was gimmicky at best in the past and it will still be heavily rng dependant in this expac unless it gets even more support. Renolock got a lot of support in MSoG only to be put aside this expansion, which imo doesnt make sense. Yea we can always play Renolock in wild but you get the point. Same can happen to Discardlock, and im sure it will happen.
Shaman on the other hand was already tier 1, has been one of the most op if not the most op class for a long time. Now, they are at least getting to choose between Murlocs and Elementals. I dont say it shouldnt have variety and versatility, but Shaman has gotten to much love for too long while other classes (Hunter, Paladin) got nothing at all, or got forced archetypes (Druid, Warlock, Priest).
Shaman has been at the top for so long anyone barely remembers how it was when Shaman was not at the top. It's time to stop with Shamanstone for a bit. Also, fingers crossed that not another sort of "pirate package" gets introduced.
I preordered MSoG and WoTOG right away. I wont preorder JtU until i see all the cards and carefully analyze the 1 and 2 drops of the expansion. A lot of ppl i know of, including myself, are burnt out bc of the aggro meta, and Blizzard keeps showing the Control meta carrot, but it just never arrives. If the game keeps being aggro and face with this expac, im out for good. The game already reached its peak of players and more competitors are showing up by the minute, it's time to wake up a bit and start doing things better. Just my feedback.
P.S.: lol my answer to you, BorkBot, was just the couple first sentences, the rest just came out naturally.
I think people are evaluating this card thinking it'll be easy to always get the battlecry when you need it. My guess is 20-30% of the time this will just be an 8 mana War Golem. Or you'll have to hold on to elementals and have awkward, clunky turns to set this up for turn 8. Either way that diminishes the value greatly.
the games where you curve Fire Elemental, into Stone Sentinel, into this, you'll feel like a god, but how often will that happen realistically? keeping in mind that none of those are cards you would keep in your opening hand and this is a one-of.

But Shamans have great elementals without overload at 6, 7, 8 and 9. He can just curve out

That's where the elemental spawners come in like that 1 drop 1/2 or the mage spell. Cheap, easy to play setup cards for cards like this.
@Junus10000; I can understand wanting to wait to see what the rest of the set has in store, but I'm not sure I agree with the analysis that Shaman needs to stop getting good cards. As someone who very clearly remembers when Shaman's best list was the janky Mech Aggro list for a long time (it was good against Combo Druid, so it had that working for it), I'd much rather have Shaman in its current state than back to how it was. Forced archetypes or not, I'd also rather have Priest where it is currently than where it was before. Strong cards absolutely should keep happening, albeit universally.
Paladin got a nuts handbuff set, absurd healing, one of the best Legendaries, and more support for Anyfin than it could shake a stick at. Didn't pan out, but not due to a lack of good cards honestly. Hunter was Tier 1/2 for a very long time on the back of stuff like Call of the Wild, and MSoG gave it crazy cards like Rat Pack and Dispatch Kodo (which are very good cards); you might also not recall, but in the ONiK meta, Hunter was still one of the best classes on the back of Cloaked Huntress and Cat Trick. Shaman hasn't been the only one getting love as much as it's continued to get love like everyone else, and honestly that's better in the long run; if you decide a class is too strong and it's time to just give them garbage for one or two expansions, when rotation hits all of a sudden they're complete garbage and you have to go through the long cycle of fixing them again.
The game will always have decks that will go face, and Aggro is probably always a thing that's here to stay. A Control meta is something that's likely to happen just after Hell freezes over. People are going to find this in every other game they pick up, so I'm not sure what the real answer to that even is; by all means if you're burnt out go try them and see if there are systems you prefer. Hearthstone will be here long after many of them are dead I imagine.

ok, but you're still holding onto cards for later turns instead of playing on curve and developing the board immediately. are you floating one mana on a later turn instead of playing that 1/2? are you going to do that multiple times throughout the game?
no one really knows how this "play X turn before" mechanic will work out since it's new, but seems to me it'll often be clunky and awkward.
This card is nuts! I'm only giving it a "Very good" instead of "Meta-Defining" just because I'm not sure yet if the Elemental thing will be good enough.
AoE, Board presence, Heal and Reach in a single card? Yes please. Plus, assuming that all the options worth about 4 mana (on average) this card is a 4 7/7 (get it?).
As a control shaman player I can't wait to try it out! #hype

Good card is good, hope to pull one but might have found my third enchantment if not.
Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
I NOW PLAY MY GOD CARD
KALIMOS!!!!!
THE PRIMAL LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

****!! Why the art of the AIR element has to be ELECTRIC!?!?

If this goes live, it will be in the running for the best legendary in the game.
Call me crazy if you wish, but that versatility is pretty insane. Additionally, it's going to be fairly easy to play an elemental before this card.
Wow simply amazing! I will definitely going to play with Kalimos and the fact that you can choose which one to pick is insane!
See ya!

Fire Elemental -----> Stone Sentinel -----> Kalimos
