enemy rogue opponent concealed his Barnes and 1/1 auctioneer (annoying since i just killed his first auctioneer), I could not Starfall though because it wanted me to target a minion, but i could not target any of his minions, only my own, which I did not want to do, so I had to wait a turn to kill the auctioneer because I couldn't get the 2 damage to all enemy minions without destroying one of my own.
Yes, because Fandral definitely needs a buff. The interaction is working as intended. It wouldn't be fair for you to be able to target concealed minions.
So target your own minion or live with his auctioneer surviving a turn. It's like saying you run hungry crab but don't want to destroy your own murloc and your opponent has none. That's how it works.
Either way, serves you right for playing lousy cards like starfall.
I agree that it's a bit silly. But it's definitely working how it's supposed to. It's not going to be changed. There aren't many edge cases where having a Fandral on board is a bad thing.
I understand that is it working as intended. What I'm saying is that it seems silly that without Fandral I would be able to kill this concealed minion (which is good for me), but with my minion, I am at a disadvantage and had to kill my own minion with this "better" effect. I don't think it makes sense. I chose not to use starfall and still won the game, but it's just crappy for my legendary being on the board to hurt my chances of winning.
Well hopefully the fact that Conceal is getting rotated out is going to make your life easier. Feel free to start teching Streetwise Investigator in your Druid deck if it's really that big of an issue. Kappa

Exactly, you would be able to play it without fandral. You made a mistake by playing him. Live with it. People like you are why HS is being dumbed down to so stupid levels. You don't understand that just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. There should be opportunities for mistakes in the game so bad players can't get to higher ranks.
It's the same thing as saying that you play Reno on turn 6 and heal for 4 then later need the heal but the legendary is on the board why am I not winning anyways.
A better example would be maybe Baron Geddon, that having a legendary on board is not and should not always be a good thing for you.
The game mechanics are so simply and you have ~2 minutes to think about what you want to do, instead of whining here about something that doesn't work you want it to try to think through what consequences your plays might have on future turns or just accapted that you are at a disadvantage because of a mistake.
Sometimes a minion's effect hurts you instead of helps you. That's part of the game and one of the few things that adds a little skill to the game. It's not a good thing to have minions that are good in every situation.
He may have played Fandral on a previous turn. Not saying that it's not a possibility that he played it the same turn as starfall, but a bunch of you are calling him stupid for a misplay he probably didn't even make.
Stealth minions are very rare in constructed play. I mean, sure, the new Adapt mechanic has a chance to give a minion Stealth. Yet I believe the real issue here is playing Fandral Staghelm before Starfall. A simple misplay, yet you still won in the process, so I don't see Blizzard "fixing" this anytime soon, or at all.
OP could've just targeted fandral. 2 birds with 1 stone there. Still gets the 2 to all enemies effect, and it gets rid of fandral from crippling his cards any further.

People can play whatever cards they damn want!

Allright, you say you understand it's working as intended, yet in the title you mention 'maybe should be looked at'.
With all the respect, but what do you mean by that, as it seems contradictive to what you're saying now?

Yeah, that's what happens. It's called a misplay. You can't target a stealth minion, and you're getting both effects. Bad play by you.

So OP, I guess if your deck is empty and you have fandral on board, you want to ignore the card draw part of wrath too right?

I think, Starfall needs to target "enemy". Not just minions.

Interesting. So if you targeted your own Fandral instead, I assume the 2 damage AoE would have hit your opponents minions still?
