Yes, do that: Twin Emperor has a more generous condition (once achieved, you can play him whenever you want), he has two statpoints more and is much harder to kill with AoE.
Admitted, I considerJade Chieftain already better (Jade chieftain is at worst a 7 mana 5/5+1/1 taunt), but the condition is in my opinion the biggest problem with stone sentinel. So much that can just screw you over (no elemental in hand, change of plans due to your opponent's plays, topdeck mode). It might work in a elemental-heavy deck and if it does, stone sentinel seems an okay value card, but I think it will be too unreliable. And a 7 mana 4/4 "do nothing" is just not playable at all.
I think Elementals that require triggers are going to be insanely parasitic and probably pretty bad if you're not running enough to guarantee you can trigger them the next turn, but it's really no different than Jade in that respect. No one is running just Jade Chieftains, or would really want to; there are just better 7 mana cards to play on their own. And in the case of Fire Elemental you're taking what's already a great card to fuel another solid card card, unlike C'Thun or Jade which play underwhelming generators for the secondary mechanic; it's feasible if there are enough solid general purpose Elementals, that kind of condition might be less of a drawback than you'd think.
I'm still on the fence, I feel like this card has some promise just because the Elementals getting played in Shaman were already some of the best cards in the game. Having 3 bodies in Shaman is a pretty big deal in my opinion.

As I said, if you can consistently curve out into the 7 mana 4/4 + 2x2/3, then this card seems acceptable to me (although still not very good). But restricts so many plays. You can't play any overload card on turn 6 (e.g. weak elemental + lightning bolt), otherwise you don't have the mana to play stone sentinel. Same for turn 5 if you want to play fire lemental.
And the worst thing in my opinion, you need to play it one turn before. This doesn't matter for jade or C'thun conditions. You just play them whenever it is appropriate. But with Stone sentinel you can't even play an elemental and him within the same turn. You need to wait to your next turn, to play him. And on turn 7, the 2/3s are not very difficult to get rid of.
But yes, we will see whether Shaman will have a proper elemental deck. I have a feeling that Mage will be the main elemental class.
Uh just fyi, feral spirits is not really worth 5 mana, for the people saying 5+3 mana =8=value. At least it shouldn't be for a class card. Otherwise it's the same value as two river crocs more or less(-beast+taunt). For one more mana. Meh for a class card.
With feral you're paying extra in overload for being able to play 4 mana worth of stats value on turn 3, without needing extra synergy.
So a seven mana 4/4 and two 2/3 taunts wouldn't be 8+ mana worth of stats, it seems actually closer to 7(slightly better). That's without the condition. With it's value seems less good.
And it's not like cards with slightly above stat value/per mana are all the rage.
In control deck this is better than Blazecaller, it's cool to do 5 dmg while dying next turn (and you run hard removals anyway), this guy will save your ass many times. Next turn heal for 12 and you are back. Great card!

This will be dust. Too slow, too little value.
This will be staple. Too good, too much value.
