I think this card is very good. If the board has minions on both sides, you can take the favorable trades, play this, then trade the rest for a board clear + keeping some of your minions & develop this card. That's the dream scenario obviously, but I think in any case it's really strong. Paladin can get at least a 1/1 on board every turn. If anything sticks, you get to snipe anything you'd like, so your opponent is always forced to full clear your board. That's something people usually want to do anyway against Paladin, I know, but you see often enough that people play into an equality by leaving up some 1/1's, because it just feels so bad to sink 4-8 damage into killing a 1/1, or they simply can't clear everything.
I also think argent squire & horserider combo pretty well with this card and/or bluegill warrior if you're playing murlocs.
I think people are really underestimating this card and that it will turn out to be very flexible and playable.
eh... honestly since its only 6 mana and its a taunt it might, might see some play. like imagine they play nzoth and you drop this guy or something of the sort. but i doubt its going to be too powerful
This guy might not be the best on his own, but a Buffadin taunt deck is looking pretty good right now with Sylvanas Windrunner and Entomb rotating out. The amount of taunt minions Paladin has right now is insane. The combo of this guy followed by Grimestreet Protector is scary and game swinging. It is definitely playable. Eadric the Pure didn't encourage trading, this guy does.
Eadric the Pure won me lots of matches in this Jade meta. A 4/9 Eadric debuffing a board full of Jades? Thanks!
But what does this card do? Let's start with Keeper of Uldaman. What was it purpose? Buff your small minions or Hero Power, or, an even better solution, debuff a big minion to get him in range of Rallying Blade or Truesilver Champion. What do paladins have as an answer against Ragnaros the Firelord, or Ysera, or a Dragon filled board? This thing brings everything in range to be butchered down by small minions and our weapons. That's the ideal play. Or, if we control the board, or have 2-3 small minions alive, then this guy is the perfect play after that.
Some mentioned Stand Against Darkness. Yes, it can work, but who is stupid enough to let them live? It works though As a combo after you used Emperor Thaurissan [/card]in wild mode, or can combo really really well with [card]Muster for battle.
Also the artwork is fucking awesome. Can't wait to see it in golden.
All the people calling this bad weren't playing in the days of Quartermaster + Muster for Battle
Pally is very good at getting lots of small stuff on the board, at which point this acts as Equality no. 3. Or lots of damage at face.
Why ppl think Paladin is "good at getting lots of small stuff on the board"? Usually you get the board by having powerful/sticky earlygame minions. Where are they?
I asume 95% of the guys here played with Muster back then, and guess what it was good by itself .Lots of variants didn't even included Quartermaster.
Also since GvG they introduced lots of ccheap aoe (Rvaging gouhl,malestormp.,demonwrath,etc. Flamewaker and Impgangboss handeld muster also nicely ) for every class besides Pally and maybe Druid.
I wouldn't say this card is bad ,but to situational unless we get a kind of token spawner or some sticky earlygame.
I see potential in this card. It won't be that powerful in a meta with a lot of Shamans though because he'll just buff their totems. We also don't know what Paladin's quest is and this guy might have synergy with it.
If paly had a viable non-murloc version, Eadric would have seen mass play this format. Sadly, Paly did not have a non-murloc deck that was viable. Maybe if we had more time, something buffadin would have come around...but the time has run out.
This is massive Eadric power creep. If Paly is playable, I'm pretty sure this card is played in it. The fact that it has Taunt is massive. The fact that it can be played proactively is massive.
I can agree to that. In a zoo like paladin where you would have to be really lucky to get all the correct answers it might work. But 1 card snowballing your board is not enough.
It's at the very least playable, whether it's much better than that is going to depend on the decks that are possible around it. If we see a midrange Paladin come into play this guy feels like an auto-include.

This. This this. This x1000. Does anyone here actually play Paladin? It's impossible to keep minions on the board in this meta. Its why nobody plays zoolock any more. Every decent deck other than Pirate Warrior runs tons of AOE and removal. You win via control, or win by doing enough damage by turn 5 that your opponent can't recover. You'll be lucky yo have one other minion on the board if you play this turn 6.
Keep in mind that it has the body to trade in with 3 of the minions you shrink into 3/3s. It's very powerful, but could be too slow in an Aggro meta.
This is the part that I don't think people are paying attention to. If this minion didn't have taunt, it would be much worse. But because it has taunt, your opponent is forced to react to it. Not to mention, even if you have 1 body on board, the favorable trades continue to stack in your favor.

Eadric is inanse in this meta. Still suck against shaman but this is just way worse not onyl aganst shaman but overall against aggro decks.
Yeah this card + hammer of wraith 10 mana hard removal POGchamp :D

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?

FOR THE HORDE!
probably ok, just not that interesting
Straight into your Walletadin deck no doubt ;-)
I am Mal'Ganis! I am a TURTLE!!
Turn 5 - Stand against darkness.
Turn 6 - 5 x 3/3 and 3/7 on your board (the dream situation)

We have to see more cards.

Seems good along with Quartermaster.
Turn 5 - Stand against darkness.
Turn 5 (opponent): Maelstrom Portal
Turn 6 - Cry/concede
This looks fun and playable. Situational though I think, so maybe not an auto include.
