The new Adapt keyword allows a minion to become infused with elemental power, granting it new properties. Similar to the discover mechanic, you will be presented with three options when you play a card with Adapt. You can choose one of these three options to immediately buff your minion. There are ten total Adaptations to choose from, so you’ll have plenty of options to respond to threats presented by your opponent.
Full list of adapts: 1) Deathrattle: "Summon two 1/1 Plants." 2) +3 Attack 3) Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers. 4) Divine Shield 5) Windfury 6) Taunt 7) +3 Health 8) +1/+1 9) Stealth until your next turn 10) Poisonous

It's a good mechanic but.. I think discover is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overused is choose 1 of 3 at random from a pool of cards is good but really wish they came up with a new way to make "good" rng.
I can't believe people are complaining about Discover effects. If you can't handle this small amount of extremely well-designed RNG, Hearthstone is not the game for you. Just go away.
Many months ago when I still ran my podcast, I had an episode titled "Choose One for Everyone!" where I laid out the positive side of expanding the Choose One mechanic to all classes, not just Druid. Seems like someone had the same idea :)

So far, the adaption traits we have are board sticky, taunt, aggro taunt (windfury), bubble sticky, aggro, and forced interaction. There are still four more cards to be added. From what I can see, these traits typically cost 1 to 1.5 mana so we can expect class adaptive base stats to be balanced around x-1 level, and neutral ones to be x-1.5 level. This observation can also be applied to guess at what the remaining traits are. My guesses are: Stealth, card draw(bc or dr), +0/+3, and Spell damage +1. Those are my primary guesses, but some other options are restore 4 or 5hp to hero, equip a 1/3 weapon, +1/+2, and 3 dmg to R.enemy minion. As you can see, I don't think there will be any traits that have a manual targeting since that would be a very clunky design to have regularly.

I don't know about this. I think it can definitely be really powerful, depending on the card, and that's not all that good.
Look at Kazakus. At first everyone loved the discover mechanic, because even if it relies on RNG, it still requires some skilled decision making. However, if the effect is too powerful, then it still feels really unfair. Getting the one kazakus potion you need can win you an unwinnable game, and it does happen very often. I don't think this is nearly as powerful as kazakus in concept, but I'm still afraid it could be powerful enough to make it feel unfair. We'll see.

I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.
Oh yes!! That's so good! Finally some old useless mechanics will be of good use! What a great new Keyword, Well played Blizzard!
Very cool.
Will this generate a bigger gap in the skilled vs. amateur player? I hope so.
I hate the RNG aspect of it, but I LOVE the diversity and dynamic it brings to the games!

How will it interact with Brann Bronzebeard? Will you have two different adaptations or will you just repick your first one?

Adding some element of RNG with a huge element of skill. I like it!

It's basically more discover-like effects, which I'm totally down for IF the range of adapt effects is reasonable
is this an official thing?
Really cool mechanic.
But, Adapt choices are not balanced, I think. Taunt is not equal to Divine Shield or Windfury.
I think, other choices could be: +3 Health, Stealth, Spell Damage +1, Deathrattle: Draw a card ?
I wonder what the other 4 adaptions will be. Spell Damage +1 will likely be one of them, and perhaps Deathrattle: Draw a card.

This is a really cool idea. I hope this turns out well.
Hard to judge before seeing all the options, but, tyhe first revealed minion that uses it looks like trash to me.
I think they've over costed the effect. Needs a bigger discount due to the random nature IMHO.
