So you pretend that taking a decent but barely played card, doubling it's mana cost, changing his tribe and making it a mage minion makes it a good card ? Are we playing the same game ?
But you talked about the card Stranglehorn Tiger and not about the viability of the deck it is played in. So you are simply as wrong as you can get. A 5 mana 5/5 beast is and has been played, because it is not a bad card per se. The same is valid for Stranglehorn Elemental . I think it is a good card in the right deck, since it is not a 5/5 for 10. It is a 5/5 for 10 plus get STEALTH. And this is absolutely useful in midrange decks. I am convinced that Stranglehorn Elemental would be played more often than Water Elemental in Elemental mages.
Whether an elemental mage is viable next expansion I don't know. Unlike you I don't pretend to have a glasbowl with which I can predict the future meta (without knowing any cards of the new expansion).
No, I am not pretending that and I didn't write anything that could have indicated such a statement. But I guess you don't see your mistake by ignoring the card you get from pyros (aside from the obvious fact that doubling the cost of a 5 mana card has completely different implications than doubling costs of a 1 mana card).
Enchanted Raven is a completely different card that serves a different purpose in a different deck. Enchanted raven is used as a head start, nicely combined with Mark of Y'Shaarj and should apply pressure on the opponent from turn one on.
Pyros is a value card. It's one card that provides you with 3 slightly below average stated minions to play. Its purpose is not tempo, but card advantage. Like Cabalist's Tome which is zero tempo for 5 mana, but nonetheless played in Reno mage. I can't say how viable pyros actually will be, but it wouldn't be the first card that has been underestimated.
Edit: I just realized that you edited my post without clearly indicating this. And it's Stranglethorn Tiger
Edit2: I realized you edited much more than I initally thought since I didn't read "my" stuff. But yeah, your comparison shows your understanding of cards.
People who only judge it based on the mana vs stats are being stupid. You essentially get free card draw and extra deck slots.. kinda. So you get value back. How good this card will be depends on he Elemental Synergy that comes from other cards though.
Too early to judge.. Just keep in mind they are rolling out Sylvana because of cards that interact with deathrattles. They might be good along with pyros.
Like any good player can easily rate this card, its only good with n'zoth... plus that's if the meta is super slow... which will never happen. you are dead by turn 6 dude.... this card is useless.... its a Vanilla card... lol
Why would you play a 10mana 10/10 for nothing? when you can play a better version of 10mana cards? or even 9mana cards? ysera, yash'raj and lots of BIS effect.....
This card is super slow no one will play 2mana for 2/2 that does nothing.. basically a Late game card that last for turn 10, if the meta is super fast like the one we have now full of aggro and pirates... this card is extremely bad not just bad but awful.. so slow meta=maybe..

"any card over 6 mana = worthless garbage"
And yet Jade Druid, Dragon Priest, Miracle Rogue, Midrange Shaman, Renolock, etc are still strong decks. Huh, go figure.
No, I wouldn't add a vanilla 10-mana 10/10 to my deck.....but would I add a 2 mana 2/2 that guarantees a 6-drop and 10-drop in my hand, on curve, without taking up deck space? Definitely a consideration.

Not to mention it's also an Elemental so lets see where that goes.
yes, its very hard to be able to judge it as we have not seen 130 cards still left to come in the set, but in any control match up that is slow enough i can see Pyros being pretty good.
2 mana 2/2 = meh
6 mana 6/6= ok
10 mana 10/10 = ok
BUT with N'zoth thats 3 10/10's so that is not bad considering you need alot of value to win contol game most of the time.
Furthermore its an elemental, so if a strong elemental buff or support card comes out then yes pyros mighy be pretty good.
until then i think he might be ok, with perhaps hidden potential.
I will even go as far as to say that this could slide into Tempo Mage if it's still a deck after the Flamewaker/Arcane Blast rotation. People severally underrate how valuable a two drop is for Mage. It's not a tempo loss if you have no other plays that turn, which is usually when Tempo Mage falls behind. And if a 6 mana 6/6 is too slow, what does that say about Azure Drake? Pyros fills out your curve on 3 different turns, making it less likely that you get any weak turns.
It's odd to me that people rate this so low but thinks that the Priest quest will break the game (according to the polls).
basically it just returns to your hand a minion you can play on the later turn. basically a guarantee you'll always have a minion in case your draw did not pull a minion.
personally not sure that i like this card. If it was ressurect a minion on board, then that would be great. instead i got to spend one turn to play the card :/

Problem is though, value is not something that is even that much sought out for in Hearthstone nowadays. It's the reason why cards like Ysera have pretty much phased out entirely from play. It's all about making Tempo plays, and instead of waiting to get more value on Turn 9, you just win the game.
No one is going to run silence for this when the opponent has to play the other cards anyway, the silence really needs to effect the board state when played.
I think it may be a bit overrated. At first glance it looks super powerful but then on further inspection it seems a bit situational. 1) Mages have a ton of good 2 drops. This would have to be better than what's currently in that slot. 2) Seems a bit janky if you don't get it in your opening hand or as a topdeck turn 2.
Don't get me wrong, it's probably better than most other 2 drop mage creatures... but it may not be OP like most people are thinking. Give it a second look.

i wonder if her animation is cool
This Card is gonna be good!!!!!!!!

Good deathrattle with nice value, but it's too slow for non-reno decks and is completely useless if silenced at 2 mana.
LOL Yeah it is good....But not when silenced

I would gladly have someone silence this over something later like a Sylvanas.
yes.
