This card alone will pull me back into the game. Ben Brode becoming game director is the greatest thing to ever happen to this game. I'm coming home, and it feels niiiiiiiiiiiice.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
this will be so good! welcome back deathrattle priest! too bad Museum Curator phases out with this sets introduction.......and Sylv........hmmmm maybe it won't be great........unless we get some Deathrattle love
I don't see the hype in this card. You HAVE to play this legendary spell on turn 1 thus are short a card for most of the game and skipped your turn 1. You then have to play 7 deathrattle minions which is a lot. Assuming you only ever miss a single drop you still don't get the reward till turn 9. A turn 10 5 mana 8/8 that full heals is not very exciting. This is also worse when you factor in you might not draw this legendary spell till turn 7+ or the fact you need to play with almost half of your deck with death rattle effects, thus playing sub-optimal cards.
Well, not ethat priest is the class WELL known for not having much to do turn 1-2 anyway, so doing 'nothing' turn 1 really isn't a thing for them. As far as deathrattle cards, that would've been easy with Naxx, of course. Now, we have some including the loo thoarders which can help feed your hand. If deathrattle gets enough support then a deathrattle deck could be viable given that N'zoth is still in play.
As far as the card itself, a turn 10+ reno isn't exactly rare for reno decks already and is still strong. The question just comes down to whether the pirate hyperaggro meta finally ends.
The 40 life is solid, although I feel will be far to slow unless Pirates gets some significant hate cards or more nerfs as it only loses Sir Finley Mrrgglton and has a small nerf to STB, thus 90% of the deck is unchanged.
Edit: Jade Druid is still going to be a near unwinnable match-up and I doubt this will change that.
Blizzard has already stated that they dislike the pirate meta. Thus we can be pretty sure it's one a death clock. If the patch+ expansion doesn't nuke it, further nerfs will.
But in all seriousness, this card is too slow for meta as is right now when your dead by 6, you need perfect curve to get it out by 7/8, and would require a lot of low power DRs. We can hope some new solid ones become available in the xpac, but as of right now not so great.
It's interesting because it lets you play a ton of sticky/value small minions (yay curvestone) and then survive long enough to drop a few bombs. I think it's probably going to make a lot of people mad.
This is the Reno solution. this card sets health to 40, and if its anything like Alexstrasza it will heal you in the process. so deathrattle priest will probably be one of the big things in the new meta.
Ok, I'm so sorry that I have to be that guy, but let me open your eyes a little.
Of course there is still a whole new expansion to see, but with the knowledge we currently have about the game, this card is garbage.
First of all, you always draw it in your starting hand and it does nothing for the board (so it's a terrible tempo card) but what is way worse, it's one less card you're drawing as a control deck. Control decks already have enough struggle to get the answers they need in time, now take a draw away from them.
Secondly, all deathrattles are gone. There aren't any, go look. And even if they print some good shit, you still have to play 7 freaking minions to get that card whose effect is totally useless against greedy control decks or just busted late game decks such as jade druid, and vs aggro you'll never be able to play it in time (remember, dead by turn 5).
So, I cannot tell if this card will be playable because we'll have to see the rest of the pull, but come on, I can't understand what's all this hype about. For the time being, this is pure trash.

Holy smokes. Majordomo Executus finally playable??
Same as Alexstrasza, you will have 40 hp.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Who cares about quests if you die turn 4?
Weasel Tunneler priest confirmed!
It's hard to live up to 7 rounds
This card is fucking nuts! I wasn't excited about new quests or the next expansion but this singlehandedly sold me.

Golden legendary cards opened: Ragnaros the Firelord, Auctionmaster Beardo, Kalimos, Primal Lord
i like the quest-mechanic and Priest has some stuff to hopefully survive long enough to see that Amara, Warden of Hope
who even needs Reno anymore
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
