What the hell, nice necro :D Of course MrZNF was correct, don't know what you are referring to saibur?
Btw I'm looking forward to the new HOF announcement for the upcoming rotation, dust is there for crafting sth to take advantage of plus the only golden Legendary I ever unpacked is Leeroy, so let's see... ^^
Up to the maximum number of cards you could put in a deck, we will give you the full dust value of any cards you have that are being added to the Hall of Fame set.
Meaning that you'll get just dust for 1 legendary card, or 2 non-legendaries. One of Brode's twitter posts confirmed that you'll receive dust for the more valuable cards over regular cards (which makes sense, as otherwise they'd be pushing people to disenchant their regular versions).
Getting dust for both golden & regular copies doesn't make sense, as you can't put all of those cards in the same deck. Also, blizzard is being nice here, but I don't see any reason for them to be that nice. Only people that could get upset over this are people that crafted both regular & golden copies of the HoF cards before the announcement was made. Those are a very small minority of collectors that wouldn't care about cards moving to HoF anyway.
Just think about how many people actually listened to your advice and missed a big opportunity of gaining dust lol
What opportunity was missed? As far as I know he was correct, you got the dust from one legendary, and there was no point crafting a golden legendary
you have been fed wrong information then
No, they are correct. You only get dust for the most expensive copy/copies you own and only for the amount of cards you can put into a deck. Not much to interpret in the official statements and it also went that way.
You did not make use of any opportunity. You get the dust for ONE legendary, if it's gold you get 3200 dust. If you already had a legendary, there was NO POINT CRAFTING A GOLD ONE. That's what the truth is. If you can mathematically prove that it was worth crafting a gold legendary, I will buy you 100 packs
So say if I dont have molten giants now I can craft 2x Golden one and I'll earn 800 dust from that?
If you do not want to keep them, yes. If you want to keep them, then you just get them for free.
The only reason to craft golden ones is either because you like the shiny cards and you take the opportunity to craft them golden for free. Or you want to disenchant all of your copies and get more dust out of the rotation.
Edit: Thinking about it I start to doubt myself. let's see: having two normal copies crafting golden ones and DE everything makes no difference to keeping normal ones and DE them.
Only if someone has no no Ice blocks at all you benefit from crafting golden ones. Cragfting normal ones will give you 100 dust more and crafting goldn ones will give you 400 dust.
Somehow I still do not have any Molten giants yet. I guess I'll craft em haha, get the free dust profit? I've lived this long without them, I can probably disenchant them immediately after too.
- You own a golden copy of the card = Do nothing - You own a regular copy of the card = Do nothing EXCEPT for the common rarity (Craft Goldens, DE afterwards = 10 dust profit per card) + if you like Goldens, you can craft them at reduced cost (see below overview with calculations) - You don't own a copy of the card = Craft golden copy/copies for "free", as you get the dust back when the expansion hits. (In case of lack of dust, craft regular copy/copies instead.)
Guys help me remember it, if i have golden and regular version of the cards i get rewards for both?? like i have a regular baku and gen if i craft golden versions of them i do get the dust from those copies(the normal and golden) right??

No. Only the most expensive copies of the maximum amount of cards you can put in a deck are refunded. If you have a regular Baku, it is not worth it to craft a golden one. Everything important is cited in the post above yours.

I don’t know what opportunity you are talking of. If you think you got more dust than MrZNF stated you could, then you smiled for no reason.

You profit 800 dust if you are to dust'em when the update comes.

2X molten giants(3200 dust)
2X oracles (1600 dust)
i get the full dust back + i can disenchant them and get + 2400 dust ??
