Yes, crafting golden Sylvanas and DE her afterwards get you 1600 free dust. But having a normal one and doing nothing also gets you 1600 dust. no difference. So I prefer doing nothing
It's super simple, craft golden Ragnaros and Golden Sylvanas, you'll get a 3200 refund for each. You can then disenchant them for 3200 each.
If you don't have them, but want them, craft golden ones, this way you will have them for use, but get a lot more dust to craft some other things.
Since you have only 3200, craft regular ones and that's it.
Half correct, half wrong. You only get1600 for dusting golden legs. If you own a normal copy and you intend to dust the crafted golden one, you don't get any extra dust. Only for commons you will get 10 extra by crafting and de golden ones.
Edit: I just realized you probably were talking about if you don't own a copy at all. Then you're right that crafting golden ones is better.
9600 ( + 6400 from Rag and Sylvanas) dust would be nice, since the next expansion is coming next month...
That's normal rotation. You get nothing if expansions rotate to wild only. Why should you? Rag, sylvanas and the other refunded cards are part of the classic set, which was supposed to stay forever in standard. That's why blizzard decided to refund them.
Play wild. How would you propose that hearthstone stays alive if people don't pay money? What is the incentive for blizzard to release new expansions if everyone just dusts the old cards for full value and crafts all the necessary new ones?
and of course you can dust every old card (what I do not recommend, because wild is fun), but only with the value loss of 3/4 (or 7/8 for commons).
You should craft it golden either way. You invest dust that you get back when the rotation hits. So either you have regular or golden sylvannas for free. So only consideration is how much dust you can spend up front. If you have it, go golden.

With 3200 you should craft a regular Sylvanas and 3 of the commons that will go to the hall of fame as golden cards (400 dust a piece). Per golden common you get 400 refunded when the year of the mammoth starts, then you DE it for 50 and you have 10 dust more than the 40 you would've gotten for a regular Conceal for example.
If you craft regular sylvanas, and don't DE you get both 1600 and sylvanas for wild
thanks for the answer.
if i dont care about wild and only watching for the dust, is it better to craft regular or golden sylvanas?
If you want to Keep your Sylvanas, you can craft it for free (you pay and get your Investment back). Craft whichever you want to use (I personally don't like golden Cards so I'd craft a normal one).
If you are in for the dust, you get your Investment back upon Rotation plus the disenchant-value. Means 400 for regular Version, 1600 for golden Version. So golden gains you more dust.
If you craft regular sylvanas, and don't DE you get both 1600 and sylvanas for wild

thanks for that, this was exactly the answer i need.
If you have 3200 dust you must ask yourself the question whether you want a free Ragnaros + 30 dust (from 3 golden commons) or if you want 1600 dust. If you like the collecting and think that Wild is going to be more fun than it is now and Ragnaros is always will be a staple card in Wild I would go for option 1. I must admit I hadn't really thought it through this deep before and have already crafted a normal Rag. I will have 4000 dust spare dust for all 10 golden commons though.
If you don't care about golden cards being shiny there is no point. They were talking about crafting a golden Sylvanas instead of a normal one if you don't have a normal Sylvanas and have the dust to spend.

Ok I'm super confused right now.
I have 3200 dust right now. I don't have Rag or Sylv.
So right now my best move is:
- Craft golden Rag or Sylv (-3200).
- Dust golden Rag or Sylv when Year of Mammoth goes live (+3200 +1600).
So that means I will have +4800 dust, which means I can then craft 3x normal legendaries then.
OR
- Craft 1x Rag + 1x Sylv (normal).
- Do nothing, Year of Mamm comes, get +1600x2 (+3200) dust?

You're right, i was half correct, i forgot you get only get half back when you dust it, wishful thinking got involved.

1600 dust. And if you can craft a normal sylvanas. You get your dust back.
so i have a regular ragnaros and NO sylvanas.
atm i have 3200 dust. how i get the max. outcome?
keep regular rag for the +1600 dust
AND
craft golden sylv -3200 +3200 then DE it after?
thats the best way, no?
thanks
ah i see, thanks
thanks for the answer.

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?

obviously also thanks to the others :)

guys, plase can you explain me why to craft the golden cards when you have normal version?
whats is point of this?
