They better actually follow up on that promise for better deathrattle synergy. Has anyone found those op rogue weapons that they needed to nerf blade flurry for yet?
I dont understand all thoose moves to wild actually. They could just bring wild and standart tiether again because lots of op cards out there right now and i sont think it will be problem anymore .actually wild is now more balanced
I feel this decision was less about the card being too powerful and more about allowing room for design space. It can easily be argued that Sylvanas' deathrattle is one of if not the most powerful deathrattle in the game. If she were to remain in standard, Blizzard is severely handicapped at creating new synergy cards that interact with deathrattle because it may push an effect like Sylvanas' over the top. This is merely speculation but I feel that this is the reason behind this particular decision.
I don't understand getting rid of the card for the mere fact that barely anyone is playing it anymore. Removing this and ragnaros, cards that do nothing against shamans that can fill the entire board almost every turn.
Blizzard clearly stated that they do it in favour of releasing deathrattle themed build support in the upcoming expansions.
Remember when they nerfed Blade Flurry to "free design space" and be able to print new exciting powerful weapons for Rogues?

Where are them?
''Blade Flurry is a problem because it enables both board clear and heavy burst damage, and it’s also an obstacle to adding better cards for Rogues. To address these issues, the cost of Blade Flurry is moving from 2 to 4 mana, and it will now only affect minions, so that Rogues have to choose between removing threats or damaging the enemy Hero''
Here's the quote from Blizzard, pardon me, but I can't really tell where they mention anything weapon related. As far as weapons go, Rogue isn't really in a bad spot, it's just that other options are far superior. To be fair to your comment, disregarding weapons, an abundance of good cards weren't really offered for the class, but a couple outstanding ones sure were.
It will be like with your ex. First you miss her, but after some time something new and better will appear and fill her space :) Changes are necessary. I play mostly control decks and I play her in every single one.
I don't know what to think. On the one hand, I think it's good that they try to change the meta a little bit. On the other hand, they said something like "Basic and Classic cards will always stay as a core, as an anchor for new players", etc. I gave priority to craft legendary cards from the Classic set. It's disappointing to see that you can't trust the announcements of the developers. But I guess they know what they're doing. At least there is a full dust refund...
so, if I really don't care about golden cards, but want to maximize my dust, here is my situation...
I have a regular slyvanas and 3200 dust. I can get golden slyvanas now, and then when year of the mammoth hits, I get my 3200 back. I can then dust golden slyvanas for an additional 1600 dust, right?

FWIW - there was a reddit post a few weeks ago, and lots of people were angry that Blizz had broken a "promise" with respect to the evergreen sets. No one could provide a source for the promise, and BB posted a number of links to Blizz blog posts, interviews, and reddit posts in response to the complaints. It has always been Blizzard's position that further changes to the Standard set would be made each year, until they got it "right" - including a positive response to Kibler's suggestion a year ago that problematic cards could be relegated to Wild, rather than nerfed. In brief - Blizzard promised that the Basic and Classic sets will remain evergreen, but that individual cards from the sets would always be subject to future nerfs, relegation, or other treatment, in order for Standard to be more "dynamic."

Nope, they've done it so that you can craft whatever you want for free but you will not get any extra dust no matter what you do, a smart way indeed. Promote golden cards while at the same time removing any sort of hacking or exploit to maximize dust. If you don't care about golden cards, dont craft her, if you wanna max dust there's nothing you can do.
actually, I think how I proposed things would work. I found this in the post regarding all the changes occurring with "Year of the Mammoth". See the second bullet point.... but when I do the math, it will actually be the same amount of dust if I just don't craft the golden (as I still get 1600 dust from a regular Sylvanas which would be the amount I would get when I dust the golden Sylvanas
Six cards from Classic are being moved to Wild-only.
The cards will not be disenchantable for their full crafting amount like normal with card changes, instead, Blizzard is just going to give you the full dust value of each card you own.
You can still dust the cards once the rotation hits if you no longer want them - free extra dust!
If you own a Golden and Normal copy of a card, you will only get the full dust value of the Golden version.
You will only get the full dust value for the copies you have that can be included in a deck. If you have 3 Azure Drakes, disenchant one today

FeelsBadMan - I'll miss her. She really has no time for games now :(

RIP one of the most iconic cards in HS history. Really hope they re-imagine her like Rag the light lord.

great card that makes you think and use the games cards to manipulate outcomes... should leave it alone. Good ol use your brain card
I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.
