Any1 think this card shouldnt be in a game. Im pretty sure blizzard team had to be rly high on sth while creating this card. I lost 4 matches due to that card yesterday.
1 time brann + rat + twisting. 2nd time dirty+ mc tech stealing tirion. Other times it was pretty the same oull out your most valuable minions and clear a board.
Control and midrange decks are dead because someone forgot to bring his brain to work. Either this card has to be removed or get nerfed pretty badly. Maybe without reno they will stop using it caring more about their health.
This is just sad and pathetic to let such mechanic exist in a game. 2 drop winning a game straight away on spot. Thanks blizzard once again u failed.
That first combo cost him 3 cards to kill 2 cards, for 10 mana and Thaurissan on all of the 3 cards. That is a garbage combo. He could have done a near OTK on you with such a complex combo.
MC Tech is random, what if he got the rat and you kept tirion?
U dont get it. He had control over what he will loose and you dont get this chance. He lost 2 drop and brann while ure loosing your WIN CONDITIONS. FFS is it so hard to see and understand?
But this thread isnt to show salt but to know people opinion whetger they like the card or discourage creating mechanics like this. 4 games lost to a 2 drop. U all sayin u dont care proly cause you didnt have a vhance to loose to another blizzard great design.
That was the same thing with yoggpeople didnt like the mechanic because it felt like cheating playing ths. Yet there were still many lovers to that card. People who didnt see other way to win other than using the dirtiest mechanics and b praud of theur "skill".
Yeah, no. You got played by some decent RNG and a very risky combo. Savjz has a video up on his channel showing a game where he managed to Brann->Dirty Rat and pulled out his opponent's Reno AND Kazakus, denying both. That's called a hard counter. It's literally the reason they added the card into the game. If you read the in-game newsletter around the time they revealed Dirty Rat, Blizzard point out "he's great at denying your opponent a Reno or Kazakus".
Now you have something smaller, trickier, far more risky, and ultimately a one in a million chance happen... and you call nerf? Sorry man. I feel you, but you just gotta accept you lost against a legit strategy.
Honestly, if I one gold for every time Deathlord pulled out something beneficial for my opponent, I'd never have to spend a real dollar on this game again. Literally once had him pull out Y'shaarj, which pulled out Aviana. I didn't call nerf, I just accepted that sometimes RNG absolutely truly fails in your favour.
Yea I won a game today when my opponent played Dirty Rat and summoned my Deathwing Dragonlord. Very fun card to play against/with in my opinion. Would love to see a Mayor Noggenfogger->brann+dirty rat combo

Yeah I think this is a bad design as well. It's almost like discard mechanic, which imo is a very frustrating and non interactive.
I don't like that a single natural card can kill combo decks or decks that revolve around some minions (reno, kazakus) and the player has 0 control over it. This is nothing like Deathlord where you can play around and not kill it until you draw your desired minion.
I'm aware Blizzard did it on purpose, but that doesn't mean it's not a stupid decision. Hearthstone needs more otk and crazy combo decks, not the same old boring Curvestone. Also the fact that it's random adds even more frustrations.

So you got beat by a combination of control cards twice and are now talking about control being dead? If a control deck gets beat by a control deck, that doesn't make the other deck an aggro (but I guess you are aiming at combo here) deck. That just makes your deck an inferior control deck or you a bad (or in the tyrion case unlucky) control player.

Not hard to see. Just hard to understand how someone can be so dense as to not use the salt thread specifically designed for posts exactly like this.

Only thanks to people reaction yogg got nerfed.
Comparing Yogg to Dirty Rat is about as stupid as you are illiterate.
"Nerf one of the coolest tech cards in the game." No.
Both cards feel like cheating when it works. <snip!>

I've yet to see one.
The battlecry of this minion is basically an ancestor's call without the advantages. I would say it's a pretty balanced card.
Great card to punish Doomsayer and strong battlecries!
This card has an even design cooler than Deathlord, as he taked more skill to play right.

Dirty Rat feels the same, to be honest.

The only thing I do not like about this card is that it can drop from the Piloted Shredder. Yes, I play wild and when it happens, it is pretty op.
Exactly this happened to me yesterday. I just lol'ed and tought it was cool. Yes I lost, but it was creative so I liked it.
Oops...
