I want to remind people on this thread that Fibonacci reached rank 2 legend last season with Control Warrior.
But Jade Idol killed control!!!! Oh wait...
Aah, the good old "my cousin reached Legend with murloc priest!!!111 why people say it's bad?1" fallacy
Except we are talking about an enstabilished pro who reached top5 legend at the end of the month, which is super relevant.
Everyone can reach everything given enough time/grind and luck. A lesson we all learn eventually, someday you will too. Speaking of which did he make it to top legend all the way from rank20 with that deck?

So does it matter to talk about which deck is strongest? Everything is luck!
(and yes, he did all the way to rank 20 non-legend. The guy is a CW fan)
It matters because some decks require less luck than others.
So basically he's put his finger in his ears and he's yelling "JADE IDOL IS OP JADE IDOL IS OP JADE IDOL IS OP" regardless what the rest of us have to say, or that control decks just take longer to figure out than the aggro decks?

I think it's okay for control/fatigue to have their counters, but the problem I find with Jade idol is it arguably fits in decks that aren't even jade decks. Running maly combo and just want another cheap cycle that doubles as an extra one card win condition if the combo doesn't work? Jade idol can do that. I would probably just make it cost 2 mana.
To the guys arguing about CW vs Jade Druid and about Fibonacci reaching Rank 2 Legend with CW. I'm not sure, but he probably reached that Rank on the last day of the season, when everyone was playing basically only Shaman so he "just" tweaked his Decklist to hard counter that Deck and that's why he got that far... This doesn't change the fact that Jade Druid is objectively an awful MU for CW... It's almost as bad as Freeze Vs CW... But that's fine imo, all Decks should have a hard counter... Still I personally think that Jade Idol is horribly designed... Countering a single Deck from a single class is fine, but one card just one single card that endangers an entire archetype of Decks is just terrible....
Jade Idol is not the problem. IMO Jade Idol seems op b/c of the ridiculous card draw that Druid has at its disposal from Auctioneer and Drakes. Blizzard advocated for less can-trip in Druid when they nerfed Ancient of Lore, yet Druid feels like miracle rogue b/c of the two aforementioned cards.
That doesn't work as well as you think it is because you need about 5-6 jade idol activations before it becomes useful, so the deck absolutely needs the rest of the jade cards to support Jade Idol or it's essentially a dead card. Yeah, you'll never run out of cards, but at the same time, you need to design the deck to support the jade mechanic.

CW being one of the luckiest deck i guess.
Nah, not one of the luckiest.
So the achievement from that guy is legit? I understood you thought it wasn't.
Speaking of warrior decks... here's another for ladder that I've been having fun with today. It still needs the full test of 30 games, but it's fun enough as it stands to warrant posting:
While not the usual control warrior, it very much wants to control the board so that you can edge in the damage. It's also a very hard deck to pilot correctly.

I don't think grim patron is really playable in this meta. Most of the viable decks either A: Try to rush you down or B: Have a lot of good boardclears.

We were talking about control decks unplayable, which has been proven as wrong. Nobody said Jade Druid doesn't hard counter CW.
do you guys think we will ever see the nerf of this very pleasent card?
Not with the Cards presently available and the viability of Jade Druid. Jade Druid will always have bad matchups and, thus, decks to Counter them. Maybe if Jade Idol makes mill Druid a Tier 1 deck...
Why you al complaning??? 1 mana 30/30! It is the hearthstone adds 'Fun and Interactive'!! What is more fun and interactive than a 1 mana 30/30. It is more interactive than having to summon the ancient one
