They will never nerf jade idol because it's not that great in this meta and the deck that runs it is a tier 2 or 3 deck atm.
However, I completely agree that it should be nerfed because it's TERRIBLE design and is a major reason for why the entire metagame is god-awful right now, because that card alone prevents any sort of mill/old fashioned control/fatigue deck from being played in any mode FOREVER. Great job blizz, you create a new card that has somewhat interesting design TO CREATE 1 NEW DECK. And in doing so, a good 20 decks are now unplayable and will never be playable ever again. Oh yeah and even if the druid doesn't run jade idol in their deck, they can discover it because every druid runs raven idol. There's also now hundreds of awesome cards like Leatherclad Hogrider and Daring Reporter that new players will open from packs and instantly disenchant because they're absolutely worthless, whereas before the expansion, you could've found some use for them. All because hearthstone REALLY needed ANOTHER "miracle" deck where the person cycles through their deck with auctioneer and plays nothing but card draw all game.
Druid has enough possibilities to cycle without auctioneer, they often run only 1. Sure that 1 is enough against control decks. But the problem is just that there are infinte threads. even drawin one 10/10+ minion each turn in the fatigue game will be more than enough to win. So you most of the time don't need auctioneer in the super late game. But I'm afraid Blizz thinks like that too. Auctioneer will get nerfed because of a stupidly designed druid card and rogue gets screwed again.
Jade idol created by jade idol should just not have the option of becoming three more jade idols again. Then the card would be completly fine. For druid this wouldn't be noticable in most games even, and it would allow control warrior to return. Which is desperatly needed considering that there aren't many other decks able to punish face strategies that hard...
the deck is better if you instead of playing a control game play aggressive, I have been running a midrange/aggro version that has mark of the lotus and some early game beasts and whatever the beast synergy buff is called, it has a good chance against control because it runs the jade idol and a single gadgetzan that allow it to cycle through and get big late value, but it also does not always lose to anything other than control because it has good early game tempo plays, I have won on turn 4 going second with two living roots for 1/1s and 2 mark of the lotuses dealing 6 damage on turn 2 and having 12/12 of stats because the shaman I was facing did not have anything threatening on turn 1 and 2. winning turn four is hard for most decks, and it is not easy for this but it is definitely possible which is rare, having a deck that can do that and also beat control decks is kind of too much, I was not scared of this card until I made this deck, now I am legitimately considering that it needs a nerf. please find a deck that beats this list:

the deck is clearly good is my point I dont know why you are defending a card, heck the whole jade mechanic, as it has destroyed control warrior. and polarized this meta into aggro and midrange . the only control decks that can exist now are the midrange/control decks.
blizzard making a hard 70/30 counter to slow 1 for 1 decks is bad design, and only encourages a faster format.

this meta also has less variety because of jade. try brewing a jank deck to get to rank 5? its been done before.. better be fast tho or you'll lose to the inevitability of jade.
A deck should be allowed to put some big value cards in and then try to get to them. It's one of the most basic card game strategies, and jade idol completely demolishes that idea.

If ice-lance recycled back into the deck, it would be a 90% matchup for freeze mage. It would of course crush jade idol druid 90% of the time too.

xcept freeze mage is an otk deck and those decks are bad for the game design aswell...... how do you beat freeze when its on your opponents turn? play control warrior basically, or race and hope to get lucky.

It would be a nice counter without infinite threat generation, so this counter-argument doesn't work. If it shuffled 6 summon cards (non-recyclable) into your deck, that would be an awesome card and threat advantage versus other value decks... but it would leave them a fighting chance.
The ability to cycle freely and without any penalty, while actually being REWARDED for it in the lategame is detrimental to any deck that simply tries to rely on late-game value. And I happen to think that stuffing a couple of big threats into your deck and trying to get to them should be a decent card strategy, I'm not asking for it to be the best of all things HS... merely that such a tactic shouldn't be an almost guaranteed loss due to one class card.

It shuts down control priest, control mage and control warrior... and if they run much, they'll pretty much shut down control shaman as well. And yeah, that sucks. All of these would be solid control decks, none of them would be soulcrushing in the meta. One single bloody card makes them next to useless for laddering.

Control decks shouldn't be able to beat Midrange decks so often. And yet they managed to be overpowered enough to beat every Midrange deck before Jade Druid. So this is the natural outcome of you guys playing overpowered decks.
