Not necessarily, no. Reno mage was clearly not a greedy deck, at least not most of the lists, it just had the general game plan of attrition. Just because a deck doesn't rely on putting pressure on the opponent, early or otherwise, doesn't mean it's greedy.

That's a greedy deck.
No, greed is when your list has a lot of high end value at the expense of not being able to deal with early game. But if you want to stick to your one of a kind definition of greed, I'm not gonna stop you.
Quest rogue killed control more than jade druid ever did. That deck needs a nerf more than jade does at this point.
What? Crystal rogue is only a tier 3 deck.. and it is not the atrongest rogue deck atm.. how is it killing anything? It is dying to the meta with less than 50% winrate.. dead decks dont kill anything..

He's using the same inane argument others have used with Jade: the deck always ends the game past a certain point, so any deck that relies on a win past that point will never be allowed to exist. Except that it's a fucking stupid argument.
The response of course, is that if decks are too fucking slow, they have to be punished for their greed, or the game is inherently broken.

But if Jade Druid runs me out of removals and Quest Rogue just decimates me for ignoring them for 4-5 turns, how is my deck of 30 removals supposed to be viable? Blizzard plz, removal is what defines skill :(

And you are the authority because?
I'm just explaining what 95 out of a 100 players would define as a greedy deck. If slow decks are greedy, then by definition all control decks are greedy, because all control decks are slow. Not only does that contradict his own statement, but it would make "greedy" completely useless as a description of a deck. Which brings us to the fact that, that's not what greedy means in hearthstone.
Jade will return with Hemet and jade idol in hand with no cards over 3 mana other than auctioneers! and if you play the druid quest the auctioneers will be zero mana when you draw them hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

Farm to Rank 5 and play the paladin quest deck for the lolz
I took out the quest as if you pull it off and then play hemet you will destroy your auctioneers which kinda defeats the purpose so here is my new attempt lol.

hemet doesn't destroy your minions after you barnabus them, you Fool Of The Earth
So now where are these people crying for nerf? I think they just realized card is not that powerful at all.
I think it's more a result of the meta making jade druid less viable. Everyone who chases meta druid left Jade when Un'Goro dropped. The card is still broken, but since it's now countered by more than just Pirate Warrior, Egg and Beast Druid have stepped in as more viable.
I've still seen recent matches lost purely because a player can generate 1-cost 8/8 minions and up infinitely.

This card IS broken and it's insane design limiter, but it is just too slow for this meta because they made even worse cancer called Caverns Below. Jade Idol is just another ignored problem. I'm not even playing the game anymore because it's a joke. I cannot enjoy it anymore and I believe majority of the people are in the same position. At this point I'm just scrolling forums sometimes hoping they will nerf those 2 cards..

Quest Rogue is definitely broken; it's way too easy to hit the quest and spam out cheap 5/5 minions with charge, just like Jade Idol is broken because infinite golems that increase in value but not cost is an insane oversight in design.
That being said, I don't think the current meta is broken. It's much healthier than Mean Streets meta was; there's a way bigger variety of viable classes and decks to play in standard now! BUT, it still suffers from OP decks that require limited skill to hit rank 10+ (Quest Rogue and Pirate Warrior, anyone?). The tricky thing here is for both sides of the game (players and designers) to help fix this. Better design combined with community efforts to work against low-skill / high-power decks like QR and PW could help stem the tide, but unfortunately most ranked players just want to climb ladder, no matter the cost to the meta.

I'm just glad that decks like quest rogue have forced this crap right out of the meta, giving control decks room to breathe again. The problem with jade idol was never it's power levels, just the concept of the card itself - it should never have seen the light of day.
