The truth is this card is more of a delayed healing-armor card. basically 5 mana heal for 5 health, deathrattle add 10 health into your deck. You shouldn't care about the atk, both White eyes and Storm guardian are going to die the turn they're played anyway.
In a deck with dozens of Jade Golems running around, I don't think it's a given that anything dies immediately in the late game. That's kind of the whole point of the deck.
Jade golem shaman is weaker than classic midrange shaman, it's not going to see play. And if it does, I don't think a refined decklist would have room for Whites eyes, you're already investing 8-9 slots for the jade golem synergy.
Jade Golem Shaman is at least decent, I'm pretty sure the tempo/removal shell of Jade Claws, Jade Lightning, Jade Chieftan over Spirit Claws, Maelstrum Pulse and Thunerbluff Valiant gives us an archetype worth persuing after the April rotation. Either that or we keep the Spirit Claws, Maelstrum Pulse shell and use Kobold Geomancer, Doppleganster and Evolve as the new curve and win condition so we can consistently remove the board until we're ready to play out our combo?
As predicted, it's really good in N'zoth Shaman (Wild) with Ancestral Spirit and Reincarnate. Being able to put one out, give it Spirit, then Reincarnate it means that your opponent has to go through 10/10 worth of stats, you have at LEAST one The Storm Guardian in your deck, and N'zoth gives you three more (For a grand total of 6 The Storm Guardian's they have to deal with eventually).
So, what are people thinking after actually using the card a bit? I spent today testing it out as a substitute for one of the two fire elementals I normally run in my mid range deck, and it actually helped a lot against all the agro decks I kept running into. Having that extra 5/5 taunt saved me several games, though I never did have a game go long enough to draw and play The Storm Guardian.

White Eyes is one of my new favorite Legendary cards :)
thats a good card that auto include in all my shaman decks, but not because of the 10/10 meme shit
It is a 5/5 taunt which is a 5 drop, which is good for shaman, and its a threat. Enemy gonna shadowword it or hex, or whatever, more likely then other 5 drops of the shaman because of deathrattle, which is good because shaman running oft several high tier threats, so enemy gonna less removal
if they dont u can draw a 10/10. Yeah its not like certain you gonna draw it but card has ok value on its own, if you not draw it its not like end of the world
I played this card for at least 10 times now, but I never get the 10/10. The only time when I saw it on the board was when it got stolen by the priest and he got 10/10 few turns after White Eyes' death.

I'm very glad I crafted one.

Notice the flavour text is, "My life for Aya!" a play on the zealot spawn sound, "My life for Auir!"
haha meta defining.
The card tilts the game in your favor in control match-ups. Against anything else it's just a solid 5/5 taunt the majority of the time.
"Meta-Defining!" is quite an exaggeration.
I saw few times white-eyes with my jade druid and midrange shammy on ranking till rank5, but well... I never saw that 10-10 token :D

tfw your opponent plays Thoughtsteal and Drakonid Operative after your White Eyes died...
You expect the worst but still end up getting incredibly salty after your opponent plays The Storm Guardian when you can never even draw it.
