I don't get why so many people think this is bad just because there are options to play around it, like sure, you can play around pretty much most if not every card in the game in some form, no card is without any weakness yet those weaknesses don't make them bad, they make them balanced.
Of course this card is very meta dependent, if you got many Zoo/Aggro type decks running around, decks that swarm the field with tokens or lots of small guys then yeah this is unlikely to see much if any play. But the more control decks and the more combo decks are running around, decks with high value minions, deathrattles, high stats or that are integral to their win condition. Heck even against Anyfin Paladin this is good even if you "only" poly a 3/3 or 2/1. But against those decks it's basically a 3 mana polymorph and I think we all agree that that would be a very good card.
I voted playable but I really wish it wasn't a potion. Now whenever a priest plays Kabal Chemist and now has a mage secret, there's really not much mystery as to what it might be.
Potion of Polymorph is a decent secret but it's not game changing. People will play around this just like they play around Mirror Entity. I'm unsure if it will see high level constructed play and outside of Babbling Book or Cabalist's Tome, I lean towards no.
Was about to say the same, this really screws Kabal Chemist when playing priest or warlock. :(

My thoughts exactly. They now really need a second new Mage secret to work better with Kabal Chemist.
As others mentioned, this is about the same value as Mirror Entity. Sometimes a little better (when there are lots of Maly Druids around, for example) and sometimes worse (when they play 1/1 battlecry and you cry) and Mirror Entity sees zero play.
This card is better the worse rank you're at, like most secrets. The higher you go the more players will drop a Babbling Book/Swash Burglar/Villager/etc.. etc.. etc.. to test for it.
If the secret package had better ways to get them out, I could see it. I don't think playing this on turn 1 is good, as it still costs 2 cards. If Blizz had made lackey "all secrets cost 1" instead of a "next secret is free" this could see play, but a turn 1 polymorph a 1 or 2 drop? Okay?
Gonna say Mirror Entity is better in most cases, because Mirror Entity gains you tempo since your copy can attack first. Only a few rare cases would this be better, in all others they get a net gain of a 1/1.
Now, if this card negated battlecries it would be amazing.....
the problem with mages secrets is they are too good to cost 2 but not good enough to cost 3
I also dislike the fact it is a potion, why mix secrets with potions
It's really awkward as a potion. I think there were better ways to make this card work. I think 3 mana Polymorph : Turtle Potion "Transform a minion into a 2/6 turtle with taunt" or something where it was a more positive and anti-aggro effect would have been very neat. Also still could have been used offensively as a desperate measure.
But, alas, this is what we have.
Also, wait, that potion I just came up with sounds like an awesome card. Why don't we have that?

The problem is that most decks run some minions where getting this hit wouldn't be a very big deal (either early game minions that don't get drawn early or big battle cries etc) just like dealing with mirror entity. And if it is a common card, decks will make sure to have something for it. For your Anyfin example, if you hit a Mulock that is great, but if you hit an Ivory Knight or Aldor it isn't likely to be worth it.
It could block a 1 turn kill or delay an Emperor or another key card a turn, but it is likely they will have something to get rid of it and at most it buys you a turn against those decks. I would say Mirror Entity will be better in most cases, it is also another card you don't want played early so it doesn't match well with the other new Mage card.
For 1 mana more, the original Polymorph is a lot better than this, since you can target its effect. The only exception I can think of is if your opponent just happens to play Soggoth the Slitherer.
Hopefully the last mage potion is also a secret. Even if it is, it would have to be quite good to make up for this if Kabal Courier is going to see play...
Secret based removal is interesting, I don't think it's as good as Mirror Entity because you get to choose to trade or go face where here you only get value if the Secret cancels a Battlecry. What I do like about it tho' is that it's a very good utility spell for Jeweled Scarab and the set is already pushing control, and I think each Kabal class will have 3 potions, all of which are controlling in nature, so we have a much better idea of the type of card we'll get off of that draw a potion minion which is some type of contest the board ability.
I think cards like this have a bigger impact on constructed thru' proxy of being good picks off of Discover, Babbling Book, Ancient Tome etc.
all people comparing this with Mirror Entity, but in this scenario, im 8 life left and clean table, if he drop ragnaros with potion im safe, with Mirror Entity im at 50% to lose, same if u play against warrior with 4hp left and he drop the 4/3 charge.

The possible salt factor is SOOO delicious... me like!
I dislike this one. Mostly weak. However, it will have it's uses. Certainly would be deadly against a rez priest for instance.
