Edit: Could it be that it will hit the face regardless if there's a Taunt card active, or not? I really wonder.
If it's consistent with minions that has 50% chance to hit wrong target, it should be able to ignore the taunt.
However I wonder if this card's text means that the minion will attack hero automatically after hitting a minion. It's an important difference especially with the secret like Vaporize.
Trample works differently in another card game as it just applies the exceed damage to a hero instead of actually count as a second attack.
This card is good if it can contest what's commonly on the board turn 5. If for example a 4/4 is on the board, then this will probably die to that minion + a spell. Better with buffs, but you can't rely on having buffs on a card you wouldn't keep in your opening hand.
Okay card overall. The one thing that makes it above average is that it's a priority removal target that comes right before Highmane.
The card is pretty good, it can clear shaman totems while pushing 3 damage per turn. And they can´t trade well, if they Hex him, Savannah Highmane will do damage later. They can weapon remove him either.
Let´s wait and see what the full expansion reserves, but my gueass is that this will be stapple in Standart MidRange Hunter. Not wild tho.
What the hell is this lazy creation I expected something more interesting from them but atleast this is a playable legendary for hunter but you need atleast 4 attack to play this against priest.
I am sick to death of comments like this - it's a completely new effect. You may not like it, the card may be bad (I think it's got potential), but it's a new idea. Stop bashing every card as boring.
now you get to eat your cake and keep it too? Meta defining :] i'll bet most hunters will be auto including this into their hunter builds. Will be a tough card to deal with, before you place Savannah Highmane next turn

A 3/7 for 5 meta defining, sure. This card is worse than Kodo. I cant see how this card is going to be played. It is worse than thundering rhino in the 5 spot for aggro and worse than stampeding Kodo for control.
"BUT YOU CAN BUFF IT" Yes, but I'd rathet buff a better card like the aforementioned thundering rhino.
It's a card that helps you control the board (A coin with this means it should be able to kill or put a serious dent in anything your opponent has played up to that point) while still hitting your opponent. Taunt no longer really slows Hunter down if he has this, since he doesn't have to commit as many resources to killing the taunt without hitting the face.
In Wild for instance, you can Kill Command a Sludge Belcher and then Knuckles will attack the Ooze that pops out, costing you only one card and still getting that 3 damage to the face, so the ooze might as well have not existed.

All hunter card have to do something or be hard to remove, rhino give a least 2 damage before die or win the game if opponent don't kill him next turn, Kodo kill a opponent minion, this card does nothing, he can be removed next turn and unlike the other classes hunter don't have good draw engines, if your cards don't do anything the opponent will overvalue you very quick.
In hunter strategic I prefer tiger 5/5 stealth than this.
So... What happens if this minion dies while attacking into another minion? (Killed by minion, not other effect) Does it still 'hit' your opponent?
Its says 'after' meaning it has to survive first.
That depends on when the After attack phase happens. Normally the ordering is Attack, damage assigned, if anything is damaged to a point beyond death it's marked for death in which time other effects can still occur then the death actually happens. So if my knowledge of hearthstone mechanics is correct then the additional face damage will happen before the death phase.
That doesn't sound right. After usually means After EVERYTHING resolves. Although we can also just ask bbrode on Twitter.

it is not a new effect Wrathguard just reverse effect of this card. I am not saying that the card is bad but they would use this effect on a epic or rare card instead of legendary.
The stats on the card fit the effect very well, since it needs to have good survivability power for the effect to work. It's definitely a good counter to Taunt Warrior, as well as many other Control decks that try to use curve (maybe even Priest, who knows?). It is a little reliant on in-hand buffs, because otherwise it can't really break through Taunts, it just slowly chips away at them while also dealing its damage to face. Overall, though, a strong-bodied sticky minion with an effect that will be sure to bring the salt for plenty of decks is a good card in my book.

No it doesn't, it means after the specific action mentioned.
This is infinity Cobra Shots wrapped in a minion. How is this not good?
This card have to remain in board to get value from it, is very unlike for a 5 mana card, probably will be removed before do anything.
Deathrattle minions, in most cases, need more resources from opponent to be removed, faster minions have more chance to deal damage before removed, battlecry minions get your value when played and charge minions can do damage in same turn is summoned.
This kind of minions that need to remain in board to get value is not a problem for other classes because they have good draw engines, if your opponent remove your minion before he does something you draw more cards and put another one, hunters cannot do that.

Every removal they waste on a Hunter minion not named Highmane is a wasted removal.
I don't think this legendary will see play, is not bad but don't is good enough for the slot like Princess Huhuran.
The major weakness of hunter is the lack of card draw, for the class all minions have to be hard to remove with deathrattle or low cost to try face.
There is no rl, just afk.
What has Hearthstone come to that this is the only way to make Hunters trade?
Explosive Shot => Meteor
Power Word: Tentacles => Spikeridged Steed
f2p, playing for fun ^^

Eh, I guess there is potential in mid-range hunter. Probably will depend a lot if the hand buff cards are good.
