Got some news from the Blizzard booth at Blizzcon. It was mentioned Leeroy Jenkins is going to be nerfed, as there are thousand possibilites to chain him. First mention is he gets the Untargetable by spells and hero abilities.
Would be the death of Miracle Rogues, I think it's fine, as I hate those and it makes Leeroy less op, or better that, mostly useless.
Miracle Rogue isn't even a problem anymore, since Naxxramas. It's still around, but it isn't as prevalent. Which is exactly what you want to see from a deck. Viable, but not overwhelming in the meta.
But I suppose it becomes a problem, perhaps with Reincarnate and Baron Rivendare.
I'm kind of two minds. Big combo-wombos annoy me. I prefer a slower game with more interaction on the board. I would prefer less of these hard to stop 18+ point combos. So in that sense, a nerf to Leeroy is welcome. On the other hand, I'd hate to see Miracle Rogue become extinct, and this change will do just that.
Eh? I hardly even see Leeroy in top 6 ranks anymore, I remember getting hit by him every other game back in end of May early June but now not so much. I actually think he is a balanced card.
Most classes can buff him and play Faceless Manipulator for 14+ damage.
There are hundreds of combinations to deal 14 damage (WHHHOAAH 14 DAMAGE!). There´s even more that can deal 25+ Damage in one turn, most of them without leeroy, do you want to nerf them all? Ridiculous.

I don't think they need a nerf. I just corrected him saying Leeroy being a worse Fireball for other classes.
a) sorry, i didnt think much about what combos are possible b) all of those are stopped by taunters c) you can do most of those with any charge minion (although i see that leeroy has most attack and therefore works best) or with other minions on board
As a conclusion, I did indeed forget about these but they still dont make Leeroy OP in any way.
PS: I never saw Unleash + Leeroy having much impact in practice. You need to be at 9 or 10 mana and have an additional card to combo like Kill Command, Buzzard or Timber Wolf, otherwise its just 2 extra damage. And you can still do it after the discussed nerf
Not that I don't believe you, but did you hear it from a Blizzard employee? If so, was he merely joking around or...?
Honestly nerfing Leeroy will not exactly push all the Miracle Rogue decks into extinction, if anything, they'll start running a spell damage version around Malygos and Conceal. Leeroy is not THE problem people exaggerate him to be, if anything, that person you talked to should've suggested to nerf Gadgetzan Auctioneer instead.
I firmly believe this rumor. I mean, I want it to be true. Desperately.
Leeroy has a bit too much flexibility. On a void he's balanced, but the amount of combinations that can unexpectedly end games are just ridiculous. Most legendaries have a clear balance, either with randomness or with cost, but Leeroy's low price, high attack and charge combo (in a game where going to the face is at the heart of the current meta), is clearly overpowered. Overall classbound legendaries like King Krush are a bit stronger than neutral legendaries (because of syngery with the class). KK is strong because he's a minion that can deal 8 unexpected damage, and he costs 9. Leeroy + Cold blood does that. Leeroy + Power Overwhelming does that. Leeroy + Blessing of might (almost) does that. And they still leave 5 damage free to use. The point of having Charge and high attack is only seen as a finisher, so the two whelps really have No Weight when it comes to balancing Leeroy. Untargetable by spells would be a step just in the right direction.
I don't think any card should be nerfed just because it combos well with other cards. IMO, it's a Legendary card and therefore should be able to do some pretty special things. In order to do almost all of the big damage combos, you have to draw the right cards at the right time to be able to do that. Yet a card like Alexstrasza...every time you play it, the same thing happens and you can instantly either hurt for 15 or heal for 14.
Leeroy requires at least one other card to be played in order to do more than his standard 6 damage. Just because there are now more and more ways to combo with him isn't his fault and therefore he shouldn't be changed.
As for the whelps having no weight, I disagree. The whelps are part of the reason why Leeroy is almost strictly a finisher. If you play him and leave him there, the whelps will kill him. So if you're going to do that, why not be smart and play around the weakness?
Leeroy is OP when used in a combo. That means you need to have all the cards in hand to kill you opponent. Esay for a Miracle rogue thanks to the auctioneer, but much harder for every other classes not names warlock.
And in some situations, when facing certain classes / decks, a strong finisher is really something you need. I think we all lost agaisnt an opponent (a priest for example) whe managed to down to <5 HP.

LOL. There are HUNDREDS of ways to deal over 14 damage in one turn? Assuming board is EMPTY like the combos mentioned above with Rogue, Shaman & Warlock, what are the HUNDREDS of ways you can deal over 14 damage in one turn without Leeroy?
I feel like he is just a "Solid" card. One of those legendarily that you don't look at and immediately think to disenchant. At the top of the ladder his place isn't as prevalent, but while working your way up the ladder I feel like you still see him a good bit in aggro decks just trying to make a quick run to the top. I don't think he really needs a Nerf at this point in time, but there are still some Naxx cards coming out next week, who knows what people may be able to concoct once the cards are all there.

For some reason I don't believe you. Leeroy isn't even that prevalent on the ladder anymore.
Miracle isnt really a problem with the Naxx cards, I dont think they need another nerf (unless you want them to completely vanish).
Leeroy is general is fine I think, its basically just a worse but neutral fireball for every class other than rogue.
I wouldnt give much about such rumors anyway.

Poetic.
Won´t believe anything until i see it with my own eyes. Leeroy is fine. Quite hard to lose against miracle anyway.

Wumbo Jenkins
Except for Warlock with Power Overwhelming and Faceless Manipulator.
Or Shaman with Rockbiter Weapon, Windfury, Reincarnate.
Or Hunters with Unleash the Hounds.
Most classes can buff him and play Faceless Manipulator for 14+ damage.
professional pilferers prefer proper preparation

lerroy is fine. if they wanna nerf something then nerf zoo or hunter zzzzzzzz
Not so sure this nerf would be for balance as much as to reduce the prevalence of otk-type strats for win conditions
Are you a time-traveler?

Well it would be 1600 gold to craft another good legendary.
