Yeah, this is pretty bad. The only real perk of this weapon is if there's enough support in warrior to keep buffing it so you get more than 3 swings, and get extra value.
As is, it's a slow card that's hard to get full value out of in a class that already uses plenty of slow cards that are easy to get good value out of. It isn't strong enough early-game to compete for a slot in surviving until you get your big threats (a 4 drop that's only good against 2-health minions, which the opponent isn't going to be playing many of after turn 2) and it competes with Firey War Axe early game and Gorehowl late game for the weapon slot.
If you're looking at this as just a 2-attack weapon, you're forgetting that Warrior has a 3-drop minion with 3/3 stats that buffs a weapon you hold in your hand. If you can get that buff to land on this weapon, then it's a 3/4 for 4 that buffs a minion in your hand every time you attack. Which isn't THAT unlikely. You can easily curve waraxe -> 3 drop -> Thorium knuckles.
This card is just bad. 2 attack for 4 mana is absolutely garbage. And buffing that weapon and buffing minions with that weapon is so slow, probably you will be dead after u buffed 2 minions in your HAND. All that action is such a big tempo loss.
Seriously PLEASE STOP WITH THIS HAND BUFF STUFF. It's really boring.
Beside this weapon is garbage. 4 mana for 2 attack? No thank you. Warrior don't get a decent weapon since Death's Bite, which was released 2 years ago. What are you doing blizzard?
Seriously PLEASE DON'T.
The only way this theme is ever gonna work is if we get multiple cards and redundancy to support it. Otherwise it will be Beast Druid / Discardlock / Burgle / Resurrect all over again - aka "let's print one card per expansion, it will work eventually... maybe 2 years from now". Even Dragons never really worked until they released Twilight Guardian.
How about something actually interesting for a change? Paladin got so much boring stuff i'm not even sure i will want to play it, and i have it in golden...
The buffs are interesting. Opponents who can "read" hands will be able to make better choices than players who can't. Introducing mechanics that increase the distance between good players and bad players is good for the game. If you are interested in how hand buffs will impact the way HS might be played post-Gadgetzan, Value Town had an in-depth discussion of the mechanic on their most recent episode. Trump and Kibler have also discussed the impact of a "hidden information" mechanic in the game. Good luck.
I feel this card is better than what many people here feel it is. Tempo Warrior sometimes runs Arathi Weaponsmith, and this is a similar, often better card. Spreading the 3/3 stats on Charge or Taunt Minions makes it much more useful than a 3/3 body, and the 2 attack translates in 6 face damage against slow decks, and board control against totems, zoo, paladin flood decks, and is not necessarily awful in a world of Ravaging Ghouls, Executes, Blood to Ichors and Slams.
I wouldn't call it meta-defining, and it is most likely not very good in control shells, but in a deck that can establish board control before turn 4 or 5, it is a nice tool to have. I'd try one in Dragon and Tempo Warrior to start, and then go from there.
That's the card, that makes Grimestreet Pawnbroker very good and very useful. Especialy in Pirate Warrior. Those Knuckles is a good card itself, I think, but wih a buff... Totally yes. And it buffs your minions. And sometimes you miss a few points to defeat your oponent. Well - at least I certainly do.
I think this is a solid weapon right now, I chose playable.
I think of situations where this could buff a card out of certain removals.
Such as +1/+1 to a justicar, pushing it to a much harder to deal with 4 toughness. Sylvannas to 6/6 means a cleaner trade/steal with a 6/6 on board like Tirion, crusher, etc. Or just a minion further ahead of the curve. Could even buff acolyte to a 2/4 for some extra card advantage, etc.
Expensive, multiple charge, low-attack weapon - probably won't work. If it does for for a little while due to synergies with cards like Grimestreet Pawnbroker, anti-weapon tech will render it unplayable.
This weapon isn't meant to be played on curve, nor plays the role of board control. It's of a supporting kind, guys. The effect is strong and the 2 attack although lackluster can help finnish some minions off, etc.
May not see play because we still don't know if this buffing mechanic will shine in Warrior, and even if it becomes viable it'll have to compete to some other good 4 drops.
A lots of bad weapons are coming out; or rather, a lots of slow weapons are coming out. I'm glad actually: the aspect of weapon itself was already OP. 4 mana 2 3 weapon is obviously bad; its effect, +3/+3 isn't even that good considering the fact that you can't control the buff, and its effect may not even apply at times. But effect itself is interesting enough, and it sure looks cool. Come on, a golden knuckle with jewel embedded in it? That's insane! Also, it have several saving grace, as there seem to be a new card that can buff a weapon, and warriors already had kits that can easily buff a weapon. But my argument is: why not use other weapons? Does its effect really make this card just that much better than other weapons?
