Aggro will still exist, just not as strong as before. I personally like it, because control vs. control gives some of the most fun games in HS. Since control builds up a large hand size, there are a lot more decisions. I think a control meta would be healthy for the came.
Have to disagree with CO1933 on the overpowered/broken aggro decks. I would consider Undertaker hunter broken, thus the nerf and 2 mana UTH and 2 mana Buzzard was problematic as well, thus the nerf. But I agree with the rest, Aggro needs a place in the meta and I think it always will have that place.
I may be wrong with the overall statement that aggro is dead, but it would be nice to have a slower meta in which you can put a 9 or 10 mana card in your deck and you have an actual chance of playing it.
All new Paladin cards including Wickerflame Burnbristle are cards that will be used in new aggro paladin. If you ask how legendary is an aggro card, he is basically a Shielded Minibot with a healing effect which aggro lacks.
That isn't even including the possibility with the new ramp cards, if you buff it in hand you can get it up to like a 3 mana 5/5 with that effect, (if not more) which is insanely useful.
Meta will probably slow down right after expansion hits, because people will be testing new legendaries. Then it will pick up some speed again. Aggro will prevail unless Blizzard messes with classic set.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!
The was I'm seeing the set is that they are giving love to Control, Combo, and Aggro. All in an attempt to provide balanced options vs. MId-Range/Tempo.
They are boosting Control by giving Priest some nice tools. The dragon potion and pint sized potion are both going to give Priest the ability to come back vs. boards they just died to before. They are also getting some neutral early tools to help bridge to the mid game. It's nice to see Priest competitive. But, Priest will always lose to Combo.
They are giving Combo a boost by giving Rogue that counterfit coin. It's funny how little attention that is getting because I think it's going to push miracle into a 2nd tier deck for sure. But, Rogue will lose to Aggro. They gave Pirate warrior the unassuming but AMAZING Patches. Face warrior will be stronger and more consistant now. And will be a force to be dealt with.
Mid Range will of course still be strong with the Kings of MId-Range still patrolling the meta.
IMHO we are moving into a truly balanced Meta where Control, Combo, Aggro, Mid-Range and Tempo decks will all find room to exist and be powerful. I can't wait. I think this expansion is actually amazing for that reason. And we still have a ton of cards to see.
So, don't fret, rejoice. This incoming meta will be good for ALL archetypes, not just Mid-range as the last one.

I sure hope the meta switches like you say. A healthy meta isn't a control meta, but its a meta where every archetype has some form of place on the ladder- which, right now, it doesn't have.
But I am going to be bold here and say we can't be sure what decks will prevail until we actually see&get to play with all the new cards. There is still 90ish cards coming and i think those can be a huge indicator of what will actually happen to the meta.
(and as a main Priest & Rogue player i am so glad blizz is buffing them so they have a nice spot. - that being said i hope they dont overdo it with priest and make me hate it for being too op)
This sentence is always thrown around before every exp.
Then after a short while players just figure out how to build the mana curve most efficiently and thereby solving the puzzle.
We are however getting a lot more of the tools needed to make deck building decisions based on the meta, without having to go to the lower echelon of tier minions just because we need SOMETHING to play.
Dunno about these Paladin grimestreet things they release. Sounds pretty aggroish :) But its okay to have aggrodecks when you have the possibilty to answer them :)
Have you seen any of the paladin cards? It is basically buff your hand zoo paladin at this point. Aggro nor zoo nor fast decks will not be dead. Will they be less tier than shaman's current? Once standard rotates out, I bet; however that's still a few months away.
This thread makes me want to try and create the strongest aggro deck right after the expansions release. Everybody trying out new and fun cards? Heh, thanks! :')

You're the kinda person that makes this game not fun ;-)

I take that as a compliment :D
But seriously, I enjoy all kinds of decks and actually love Reno decks the most. Will be really sad to see that card rotate to wild upcoming spring. I just think it's silly that people bash on aggro so hard. It's always gonna be there, and it has to be, to keep greedy control decks in check.
I don't have any problem with aggro decks be a competitive strategic, my problem is control for majority of classes dead for lack of tools.
I looking at you Valeera.
believe me when priest is going to rule the meta , u will not like it , they gonna be more cancer than shamans now :D

Explosive Shot => Meteor
Power Word: Tentacles => Spikeridged Steed

Aggro decks are cheaper to craft, so at least lower ranks should still be full of aggro playing F2p players.

There is no rl, just afk.
Aggro will never die
SMOrc never dies!!!

why would anything change though? None of these but the priest cards are good vs shaman.
