Looks like..... Trash to me. Lol. Funny how we all see different things!
You are most likely going to drop your Axe on turn 2. Then this is 90% of the time a 3/3 for 3. I mean how many weapons are in your deck to buff anyway? 3? It's not like you can effectively fill your deck with weapons and win.
You don't need to fill your deck with weapons. You just need a few good ones, then hold this until you have one in your hand.
Ever notice how Control Warrior always has a huge hand of cards? Holding things and playing them in an advantageous order is basically the whole CW philosophy.

Might see play in Pirate Warrior, but even there it doesn't buff weapons summoned from other cards and its not a pirate. Maybe as a one of. Not sure why so any people are saying this is insane its closer to bad or just barely playable.
Yep, here it actually works. How many weapons are you going to have in your hand anyway? What weapon are you going to buff, though? Would you not play waraxe on turn 2 because of this?
I think it's meant for aggro Warrior to be able to set up that 5/2 weapon as a 6/3 and just go face, what makes the card really well designed is that it doesn't actually benefit Waraxe and encourages more aggressive archetypes with top heavy weapons.
yeah this is a good tool for face warrior, sometimes you have a n'zoths first mate hook that means you would prefer not to play fiery yet, and you usually run at least 4 actual weapons in face warrior, but this onto arcanite or deaths bite in wild is really powerful, and you can get that pretty often, harrison might be a really good tech in this expansion, we thought that after whispers but I think it is even more true now, because when priest is good, greedy warrior, rogues, and greedy paladins are good and all those run weapons, and if burgle rogue is a thing because it is getting a few buffs it will often have really powerful weapons not just the hero power weapons. if you are playing control harrison might be necessary now, and if you aren't then you will probably be shaman hunter or rogue all of which always have weapons, I bet zoo can't compete with these decks and freeze mage is probably not very strong because all the heals and warrior will make it hard to get a good combo for them.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
There is also the potential to fit it in fatigue warrior, the one with Violet Illusionist, Fool's Bane, Coldlight Oracle and Brann Bronzebeard. Seems like that deck would gain more by the 16 damage Gorehowl than control warrior would, and it could potentially be 27 with brann. But there is probably not room for it.
Seems average at best to me, you are willing to equip Fiery War Axe on turn 2, what weapon will you have in the rest of your hand? Arcanite Reaper is the only one. This can only see play in Pirate Warrior and imo Bloodsail Cultist is better anyway. If you are out of cards and you topdeck this, have fun with a 3/3, while Cultist might be a good topdeck if you have a pirate and weapon equiped.
Obvious fit for Pirate Warrior, since that's one of the few Warrior decks where you will usually have extra weapons in hand on 3-mana. Too bad it's not a Pirate.
Maybe you run it in Control for some kind of 2 turn burst finish...but that seems unlikely. And Midrange wouldn't want the extra durability on Fool's Bane, right? Maybe Warrior will get another playable 3 or 4 mana weapon.
it's a deck defining card, Control warrior doesn't want to play it, because it might not even hit Gorehowl and Dragon Warrior doesn't have to play it, you pretty much have to make a deck where this card makes sense, would it be competitive or meta tier 1?, probably not, but it's still taking a class in a direction where it previously had barely any support which is super fine with me.
But there are a lot of matches where you drop the cultist without any pirate. Isn't this more consistent? although i agree it will be difficult to make it work on the axe effectively. so its slower in the early game but more consistent

Great card for that cancer pirate asshole.
alex and buffed gorehowl and grommash ..... sure kill in 2 turn now if no forbidden healing or reno ?

If we compare this to Captain Greenskin and Upgrade!.
Then the only one which has been played is upgrade in a very aggressive deck.
It's slightly better than greenskin in that it is a bit over the curve, but worse than Upgrade! in terms of the mana cost.
Bloodsail Cultist is better because of the 1 health? maybe.

Gorehowl approves.
If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.
Question: Will this be a replacement of Bloodsail Cultist ?
I think so as it does not require any activators and Bloodsail Cultist was only their for the buff not the Pirate tag.

New combo deck with gorehowl? 2 of these plus gorehowl 27 damage in 4 turns!
interesing card, strong effect, more for like a pirate

So you can buff Gorehowl... twice?!!
Obligatory "what if" scenario that probably won't happen often enough to be important:
Suppose you were playing Paladin, and get this off your Grimestreet Informant. If you manage to proc it on your Truesilver Champion, that's a better Ashbringer with no Tirion required.
