Hell, without silence, it's still pretty good. Early minions have this tendency to die really fast. Something that can tank a few hits is already good.
Purify was already not the worst card ever (despite all the jeering), and Silence was never bad. The silence archetype has been lurking and building steam long enough that this might just push it into the limelight.
Or it might fail miserably because of too many moving parts. I think we'll need to see it in action before we can know for sure.

I can see this being good in other classes than priest because resurrect priest is typicallone of the few decks to try and run injured blade masters because they can keep bringing them back as a 4/7. This does not help Priest though because even if it is back at full health, it will eventually g down and start eating at the two mana hero power to offset its effect or on other healing buffs to keep it in the game. I think warrior could potentially do something with this, but that would mean running cards like Crush to get value out of this. It's an okay card and I'm kind of glad it's an epic because I don't think it's good enough to see a lot of arena play. But who knows at this point honestly.
Something like that sounds precisely like a Warlock card, but I can't think of a single reason to use it in a Warlock deck. Nothing serious, just a flavor issue. But hey, I care about flavor.
I feel a majority of the time this card is just a slightly stickier 3 mana 3/3.
Scenario 1: You summon it and your opponent ignores it. Your turn it's now a 3/5. You trade with say a 3 attack minion. Now it's a 3/2. Your opponent ignores it again and now on your turn, it's dead. Hurray, a 3/3... :|
Scenario 2: You summon it. Your opponent sends 3 damage into it and now has an empty board. Your turn it does it's 2 damage and you now have a 3/2 and go face. Your opponent proceeds to ignore it and now on your turn, it's dead. Hurray, a 3/3... :|
Scenario 3: You summon it and your opponent ignores it. Your turn it's 3/5 and you trade with a 2 attack minion. Now it's your opponent's turn. Your opponent does...whatever. It's your turn and now it's a 3/1. Had you simply had a 3/3 to begin with and sent it into a 2 attack minion, you'd also have a 3/1....Hurray a 3/3... :|
Scenario etc etc etc: Same result
Is a 3/3 minion with a self inflicted time limit any good? I don't think so. This card requires external healing or a silence to be any good. So, outside of priest, it won't see play. It may see 'some' play in Priest simply because it's stickier than Injured Blademaster by itself and synergizes well with Northshire Cleric. Though I feel that is awfully optimistic.
There's also synergy with Frothing Berserker, but it's kinda awkward because it loses health at the start of the turn. It's a nice target for Void Terror though.
For any class other than priest, I agree that this is almost always equivalent to a 3/3 for 3 - as if it takes 3 damage from other sources, then it only gets to attack once.
In priest, you have more options to buff and heal it. In this case, it functions a bit more like a 3/5 as your opponent will not want you to start your turn with it in play, and so will try harder to kill it on sight - making it more like a blackwing tech that doesn't need to go into a dragon shell.
It is pretty cool if you drop this, then on t4 kill a small creature with it, drop cleric, blademaster and use CoH - decks running blackwing tech don't usually have room for all that.
I would not waste silence on this card. By the way card have more synergy with warrior. Upcoming cards may bring more synergy for this card early to tell what is the value of this card.

Sure is not a GOOD target for purify, but is a good early control board card to prevent snowballing and if you don't hit a good silence target early you can silence him and draw a card. Not saying is a great idea, nor if it will work for a meta deck, but is something cool to play test with :P

Turn 2 coin this out. Turn 3 kill your opponent's 2 drop. Play Northshire, heal this.
Ok, not as good as teh turn 4 Injured blademaster, cleric, circle of healing. But... YOu can definitely see a lot of synergy with the card and what Priest wants to do. I don't even think you need to silence this bad boy. You can simply choose to spend mana or not spend mana keeping him on the board depending on what you are facing and your hand.
Good in decks which have healing or ways of buffing a minions health, but all you have to do is get it down to 2 HP on your turn to kill it during your opponent's next turn. Good but not great.
Could also have some potential in some Shaman decks : healing totem can partially negates its drawback,. More importantly, it is the perfect target for Master of Evolution : the Fel Orc is very likely to stay on the board, get a value trade AND survive the whole process. There is also a potential synergy with Ancestral Healing (yeah, i know, it's probably bad, but i still haven't lost hope on making that card playable).
Fail to see how (unless you're talking about an aggro Priest) : without healing, this guy is more or less equivalent to a 3/3 Stealth (gets one "guaranteed" attack, but will suffer 4 dmg before the second one). That's decent, but not exactly incredible either.
Yeah, mostly aggro priest, with res support. Both him and Blademaster being the offenders, and whichever comes back from Bishop is great. I think overall that Blademaster is still a better minion, but it's like a 3rd or 4th copy of the card, can't see how that's bad.
Also maybe it could be used as a taunt target in decks like renolock, it IS quite a wall to climb, and a neat board control creature, for the early game, something like a higher costed zombie chow, but maybe I'm failing to see deep down how this self hurting ability will pan out. It's not like most creatures live up more than one turn anyway.
Has some real possibilities in shaman, priest and warrior. It's at least a playable card and not just a dead weight filler in the set IMO.

I actually can't decide.

My only problem with this card is.....well, read that name again.

this card will be fun, i think it will see some play...
Where shall I start...
The synergies are numerous and powerful, but I'm concerned that they may be too costly in terms of mana or cards.
I'll reserve judgment until I've seen more of the set.

Good even in aggro strategies
Definitely a nice option for Priest.
