If it works like Shadow Madness then you can't silence the mind control effect. In fact it would return it to you opponent instead, admittedly silenced, but not for you.
Card NameSteal Bat > trade into Elephant ... I win!
Garbage. Why do I want your 2 attack minion for one turn?
It's a conditional kill card with a very slim chance for a two-for-one against very aggressive zoo decks.
Between this and the battlecry cultist, we just got absolutely no creativity so far in this expansion. We got basically two reprints. And if those cards didn't make priest any good, why will these ones?
What's my plan? Steal your dark peddler to hit your voidwalker for 2? Steal your 1/3 tunnel trog and, best case scenario, and hit your tuskarr totemic? Common, get real. If the 4 mana one was garbage, why would this be good?
You give us a 1 mana card to clear the board, and then a 3 mana card that gives our own minions more health? Least. Sense. Ever. Are we clearing the board or filling it?
This, all these guys saying, look what you got priest players it's so good! Wtf? You guys obviously don't play priest at all, this card sucks
One of the strongest card i ve seen in hs .... wtfffffffffffffffffffff (at the same level of dr.7)
With no 'early game' problems control priest is unstppable (if you re not playng combo) ..
Control priest will be t1 in standard too haha (i already see people complaining about future control priest that has answer for everything and game is long 40 minutes ..)
The real power of this card is it's cost. Being able to steal an enemy minion for 1 mana is really really good and almost every single deck being played has valid high value targets for this card. Stealing a Loot Hoarder, Kindly Grandmother, Acolyte of Pain etc etc for 1 mana? The tempo swing can be game changing. The people saying this card sucks are bad at Hearthstone. In a world where a 4 mana Shadow Madness can be pretty damn good, a 1 mana Potion of Madness can also be pretty damn good. While it's eligible targets are more restricted, the mana cost makes it far more flexible in my eyes meaning it will likely see more play.
please god tell me this is a typo or not a real card....... literally the most insanely broken card ever even suggested. Looks like a fan-made card. the power creep is insane. Shadow madness does practically the same thing but costs THREE more.
You guys don't understand, the reason things like cabal and shadow madness are bad is because it comes out so late, even though being very strong so unless everyone just starts running 1 mana 3/1s and 2 mana 3/2s this card is gonna be very good
Way way wayyyyyy better than Shadow Madness. Trading their creatures into each other early game (and then possibly playing something of your own) is absolutely going to help Priest.
Anyone who thinks this card is bad apparently did not notice it costs ONE MANA. Even if you only kill one creature (and injure another) you're doing it for ONE MANA. Does no one realize how powerful that is?
Not quite, if it works like Shadow Madness (which presumably it will, since their text is nearly identical) then silencing the snagged minion immediately gives it back to your opponent, just now silenced. Unfortunately, purify still sucks =P
so good much better than the new paladin secret kodo vacation or something! I d rather have this in my paladin deck
Meme card
Let me change your mind...
well thats 2 priest cards that are essentially remakes of old priest cards yay?

casting purify on it would return a minion to its owner

Shadow Madness is decent, this one looks really good. Stealing an acolyte of pain or an imp gang boss for 1 mana is extremely powerful.

Its an ok card. Better priest cards, so it wont see play.
Sweet! I'm looking forward to some quality time in the form of 20 minute Priest games. #thanksblizzard

I doubt it will see a lot of play, however, it might be useful against aggro decks.
