So.. so loving Kazakus. Only have 3 potions from him so far but they are.. 10 mana 6 damage all minions + 10 armor. 10 mana 6 damage all minions + summon an 8/8. 5 mana 4 damage all minions + 7 armor.
The 5 mana is clearly the best in terms of mana value. All three have auto won the game though. Amazing..
How are the reno deck performing with all the aggro trash on the ladder right now?

So far so good. Kazakus brutalizes Aggro so if I get Reno OR Kazakus in mulligan I feel pretty safe. Haven't faced a Jade yet to see how it stacks up there.
I've also found the Shaman matchup to be much better. Again, I feel like Kazakus OR Reno on the mulligan just puts my deck way ahead.
Running a low curve variation of Dragon Reno mage.

Good to hear! I'm building a Jade Golem Ramp (Taunt) Druid deck. The main build is going to do well against control, and the anti-aggro build with a lot of taunts to counter aggro.
I hope it performs well, but the Jade Golem Druids need taunts in order to stand a chance against aggro I'm thinking
Kazakus is OP, always give me a potion causes 4 damage in all minions and summon a 5/5 for 5 manas.
This deck is the ultimate aggro nightmare, lose only 1 time vs pirate warrior because he have the GOD hand and kill me before turn 6, Reno in my hand, others aggro matches is very easy because Reno is not alone anymore.
The deck is almost perfect, don't fell inconsistency because you have good cards in deck and 3 super cards, one of them and the effect is so good compensate the disavantage completely.
Am I the only one that missed the part that these spells are NOT assembled in the order you pick them but rather in the LOGICAL order?
Meaning if you get the "damage all minions" as your first effect pick and "polymorph all minions" as your SECOND effect pick the final spell will be "Polymorph all minions and THEN damage all minions."
This was apparently confirmed by Blizzard. That makes this custom spell even better.
Same for effects like "damage all minons" and "summon/ressurect a minion." Regardless of the Discover order the damage comes FIRST and the summon comes second.
Outstanding.
good to know. I was thinking you'd be screwed in that case.
11-0 so far with Reno Dragon Mage. Kazakus is just silly. I haven't even been making optimal potion choices yet and he counters all the other gimmicks I've seen so far. Paladin hand buff? sorry I can still aoe that. Golems? Have fun when your massive golem board becomes sheep. Evolve shenanigans? AOE or sheep..
Run Brann. Run Kazakus. Run removal. You're all set.
Also Kazakus potions can be lethal push after Alex.
After game play I can say that he is very strong yet unreliable in what spells options he presents. The low mana cost of Kazakus allows players to choose when to play him yet the randomness of his battlecry should be in consideration... (more of a two turn Hail Mary miracle play.) Also Cho'gall will take away 10 health before giving you 10 armor for a 10 cost spell so don't play that Cho'gall combo under 11 health.
Kazakus's random custom spell may allow for one rare way to actually increase the health of Lord Jaraxxus via gain 10 armor.)
It is hard to explain why Brann Bronzebeard is incredibly good with Kazakus but it is more than just creating two custom spells. Rather, it has more to do with overcoming the randomness of Kazakus and generating more chances of selecting the desired spell ingredient. When you play kazakus you may wish for a board clear in polymorphs or deal 8 damage or gain 10 armor but those choices don't always show up.
In my opinion Kazakus and Arch-Thief Rafaam are unique enough: Kazakus's spells are random and customizable while Rafaam's spell choices are constant. I think the Hearthstone team did a good job in designing this card and respecting the card space of Rafaam.
I agree with above. Kazakus is very powerful but also a great example of GOOD RNG. You can't just count on him to give you exactly what you want and you often have to make a game plan change based on the first set of choices.
My last game I used him against Hunter and got really bad choices. I ended up taking poly 1 minion and res, knowing it would bring back doomsayer. It ended up giving me a Savannah Poly into board clear and my play. I ended up winning even though it was hardly the ideal potion in the situation I created it.
I really enjoy the strategic aspect of it.
And absolutely agree on Brann. I don't think I've even used both spells when I branned BUT I got the one spell I really wanted and won easily because of it. It's not just about getting two spells it's definitely about increasing your odds of getting the RIGHT spell.
I'm currently enjoying Kazakus in my Reno mage, there's a lot of greedy decks on the ladder right now so getting double value with Brann Bronzebeard or Manic Soulcaster comes in handy.
Also countering my opponent's N'Zoth, the Corruptor by sheeping all of his minions felt gross.
Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
This guy is insane, craft him is the best decision of my HS experience so far, btw i crafteda lot of legendaries to speak of.
vs aggro you made a 5 mana board clear. Vs control you make all she, board clear or big ass minion. This guy so flexible, i like him more than my Reno in a Reno deck for sure lolz
How he is better than Rafaam? Rafaam have strong body, and give me solid options. 10/10 will win me game, 3/3 are good when im lacking minions to play, and 10 damage is good to finish off enemy behind taunt. DUmb Khazakus is unreiable, thets first problem. One time i got 10 mana cost change everyone in to 1/1 sheep, and +6 health to my sheeps. USLESS. Other time he ressurected 1/1, 3/3 (himself), and some other crappy 2 mana minion. Thats 10 mana spell? It is a joke. Another usless 10 mana effect - 6 aoe to all. If im losing so much, i dont want hurt myself! Or my minions in fact. Why this spell have throwback? 6 mana aoe on turn 10 is not that strong anyway - if aggro you will be already dead, if not usually minons have more than 6 health. 10 mana spells are not worth of anything, Rafaam is better. :/
Best designed card in Hearthstone history. It really feels as if the card is personalized for you and the possibilities are endless. Every game it has a different kind of impact.

So fun to play, though I often can't justify getting the 10 cost spell.
So.. Kazakus and Solia are pretty good.

Just great card design by Blizz.
Hey is this card worth the craft?
i know it hasn't even been a day but I really enjoy Reno classes so I'm really considering crafting it.
Yeah my opppent had a c'thub, bran and 3 twin emperors out. Turned them all into sheeps and won the game.
most had fun I had on the game in a long time.
crafted golden kazakus cause he's that worth it. jaraxxus + turn all minions into sheeps + 10 armor = ez game

Pulled a Kazakus in one of the 6 free packs. Pulled a golden Kazakus in one of the compensation free packs. Winning!
I agree. Kazakus might be good or worse (when meta stabilise) but its damn great designed card.
Gj Blizzard!
