A Reno-Value mage deck playable? My dream have come true.
Manic Soulcaster is good for value and cheap enought for nice combo. I believe. :O
Sure, and with Manic Soulcaster maybe is better to get one more full copy of Reno Jackson and only use Brann Bronzebeard+Kazakus . I think that is very good thing that spell from Kazakus you can play any time if y have 2 and maybe will be better to make 2x5 spell with brann. Also with Emperor Thaurissan can be very OP.
Also as someone else mentioned.. if each tier has 6 choices overall (3 available and 3 hidden randomly) that equates to 108 potion options. 36 each for 1, 5 and 10 mana. So I doubt the consistency is a huge problem.. you might not get EXACTLY WHAT you want but it's basically a reliable Yogg.
To all people saying this doesn't work without Reno. Do you realize that you can play a 5-mana spell/1 mana spell? Archmage Antonidas/Cho'Gall/Flamewaker say hi. In Warlock you can craft a 10 mana Deathwing potion that doesn't discard your hand. 6 hp: Thunderbluff Valiant, fuck you. Priest got awesome cards for survivability. (1 mana 2/2 heal for 4 hp both players, Kabal Talonstrike, Dragon potion) N'Zoth Reno Priest is going to be incredible in wild.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
I'm assuming now there will be 9 options per mana cost and they are randomly chosen for each tier, likely without allowing a duplicate on the 2nd choices. This allows 36 unique combinations per mana choice; 108 total. There seems to be no logic to the options on each tier in the demo so I assume it's random.
Confirmed options for 10 mana are; copy 3 cards from opponents deck, draw 3 cards, resurrect 3 minions, polymorph all minions, deal 6 damage to all minions, gain 10 armor, summon a 8/8 demon, put 3 random demons in hand.
My assumption is it will be 9 options per tier: 3 Priest like options, 3 Mage like options, 3 Warlock like options. If you look above from the 8 two are clearly Warlock, 2 are clearly Priest, 1 is clearly Mage and the other 3 are a bit less clear although I'd argue armor Mage, AOE priest and card draw Warlock.
I'm expecting the last option might be "put 3 random Mage secrets into play" or something like that. Seems to go with the theme of making a consistent Yogg like card.
Awesome design. Can't wait to play with it. Would be OP as fudge without the no duplicates line.. Smart way to fit in a cool card.
Well, they still have to reveal 101 cards, but this looks already like a serious candidate to be the first card i'll craft in this expansion. Renolock ftw

This is also a buff to Chogall and we might actually start seeing him in Renolock. Imagine a turn 7 "play a 7/7, take 5 damage, draw 2 cards, resurrect 2 minions."
Or a Jaraxxus into turn 10 "turn all minions into sheep AND gain 10 armor" .. this card is going to be fun

Sorry, only learned that after I posted. Few months of fun ahead. I'm not sure the creation of a spell is ever going to be worth going singleton. Reno was only just worth it.
It's has the conditions and salt inducing powers of Reno Jackson but the mechanic is really cool and the idea of custom spells is new and innovative; I definitely want a golden version of this when Gadgetzan is released.
BRM is getting rotated out when Gadgetzan hits. Not LoE.
FeelsGoodMan
Nothing is being rotated with the introduction of MSG. I figured that by now people would know this. The next rotation comes with the expansion after MSG (which will be sometime in March/April next year) and will remove BRM, TGT and LoE.
Mystic Wool: 1: No effect. 5: Transform a random minion into a 1/1 Sheep. 10: Transform all minions into 1/1 Sheeps.
Who would choose a 1 mana mystic wool? What's the point? Is it even confirmed there's no effect? Also does anyone know how many combos there are exactly? We just know it's well over 100.

I never liked Renolock, and never played it. Actually, i never liked any Reno deck, not a fan of the "one of" mechanic.
This card alone is making me starting to like Reno decks, and i'll definitely play them once this arrives.

This is really interesting.......
RIP yogg-saron good things don't last forever :(

Could this be used to generate a sacrificial Pact? If so Lord Jaraxxus is in trouble.

1 mana combinations (9!/(9-2)!) = 72
5 mana combinations (10!/(10-2)!) = 90
10 mana combinations (10!/(10-2)!) = 90
72 + 90 + 90 = 252
The guy above computed it correctly if there are indeed 10 possible spells..
I can't wait to see how they will fuck up the Jade Lotus version!
It screams Reno synergy till the next cycle and I love it.
I love this card! So cool. Best thing I've seen from hs in a while. Hopefully the rest of the set is as good as this is.
