Different wording than with Reno Jackson. Does this mean this doesn't work if you have drawn those duplicates? Seems unlikely but the inconsistency is weird.
The wording is consistent with reno. It check your deck. No duplicates in deck=effect ok
No it isn't, Reno says "if your deck contains no more than 1 of any card", this says "if your deck has no duplicates". What you mean is that the effects are the same (probably), but the wordings are not, which is what inconsistent wording means.
How are the two wordings any different in meaning? Those two means the same exact thing...
They have the same meaning but the wordings are still different. Thus the wording is inconsistent.
Maybe it's not inconsistent... maybe unlike reno you can't start with duplicates.

It's hella playable - example shown was 10 mana deal 6 damage to all enemy minions and summon three friendly minions that died. They said around 100 different combinations for possible spells.
*Grabs calculator*
*Realizes doesn't need one because #intellectuel*
So, 5 or 6 options for both the first and the second effect?
Edit: they said over 100? 6 it is, also makes sense because 3 is its factor.
This means it has RNG. The effects also don't seem to be worth more than the spell's cost, and it's a tempo loss in itself. It has flexibility, tho' - just like forbidden cards, 2/3 of which are top tier.
Yeah, I did the same calc.... if it were only 3 of the same choices each time there would only be 27 combinations... however who knows which choices have more than 3 choices...
Guess some people missed the card text.. no duplicates allowed.. once Reno is out of standard, i don't think that this card will be played in meta decks

It's too early to say that. We still don't know all the possible choices, we don't know the majority of MSG cards, and we don't know any of the first set of 2017. The addition of this card is an indication that they like the mechanic so they will probably try to keep it viable. If it also has a choice to heal that can be combined with the armor gain for something like 10 cost 10 heal + 10 armor then I think it would be a good enough replacement for Reno all by itself because it also offers flexibility to use it earlier for aoe or card draw to keep you from getting into a spot where you need as much healing, and the armor can put you over 30 health to prevent combo bursts... The versatility is very strong.
some of the many options in making the 100+ different potions:
10 mana, add 3 demon to your hand ???
10 mana summon a 8/8 ???
5 mana RNG polymorph ???
Well, there are definitely some terrible options in there.
But remember that you choose TWO of the same cost ones, so be warny, is not that terrible, maybe some (I really hate the random Polimorph one, it doesn´t really deserves it)
The spell would be a combo of the two cards, not one or the other. So in your case it would be "Summon an 8/8 demon. Add 3 random demons to your hand." For 10 mana.
This card can't possibly be bad. This is the one I'm saving my dust for, but let's just hope I get it in my packs.
Makes me wonder what the other two are going to be like... Might need to save dust for three legendaries this time around. Promised myself I wouldn't presale this time after the huge disappointment that was TGT.
But remember that you choose TWO of the same cost ones
Sorry i don't understand what you're trying to say :/
If you want to create a one-mana potion you combine two one-mana components. If you want to create a five-mana potion you combine two five-mana components. Etcetera. So I guess you have to decide if you want something cheap that you can cast right away, something moderately priced that fits your deck, or something expensive that might be a game finisher. That said, I'm sure you won't be given any extra time so you should have a pretty good idea in advance what you're going to concoct.

some of the many options in making the 100+ different potions:
Since in the video 10 mana: gain 10 armor was an option, it seems like the cheapest ones are the most cost efficient. Although the 1 mana options seem OP, maybe you get to choose only one of those? Overall they all seem to be worth 1 mana, the 5 mana options are 2-3 mana and 10 mana options are worth something like 5 mana so it would make sense.
For Reno Mage very nice card, play for 4 mana get body 3-3 and make potion which y nead if realy nice. Draw 2 cards and deal dmg to minions for 5 mana, and potion is all time in your hand is just OP.

For priest? or neutral?????
It is fine, just fine
And maybe this is just the new form of wording for this type of mechanic and Reno Jackson will be updated with the new wording...
God, creating custom spells?

The joke is you.

Still bad. But less bad.

Best play!
enemy turn 2: play Millhouse Manastorm
Your turn 3: play The Coin + Kazakus
enemy wins because he played MANAGOD!!
OK I was wondering what the custom spell was... I'm amazed. That's going to fun to play and a pain to play against that's for sure.
My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
