(why are you suggesting adding 9 mana cards if call will be 9 mana!?)
Because I will most likely play only 1 Call of the wild, given the nerf I think 1 King krush and 1 Cotw is more versatile than 2 Cotw. And Onyxia because I've had a lot of success with her in hunter lists in the past. The curator because it fills turn 7 and I have a lot of sucess with it right now.
You were asking for things to do past turn 6, adding 7-9 mana cards to your deck accomplishes exactly that.
Adding more late game cards won't make your deck better unless you actually draw them and since hunter does not have any reliable way of drawing there will be a lot of situations where you need your big card but all you draw is a huge toad or something small and than the opponent stabilizes and it is GG.
Blizzard better give Hunter some card draw options and a little bit of AoE in the next expansion or else the only playable strategy will be hitting the face and pray that you close the game fast.
Probably wasn't too necessary since its not like Hunter is even one of the top classes right now but i guess its a bit unhealthy the way that every hunter deck just devolves into "survive till Call of the Wild and win."
Good change, mostly because Savannah Highmane takes so much to actually remove, it's good to have that extra turn to recover some of your resources. And obviously, no more hero power Huffer burst.
the main problem here is hunter now really lack turn 8 drop card, some neutral card can replace but i still prefer beast deck with better sync . i was thinking about some sel;ection : highmane + heroes power or rhino + grizzly (still 5 dmg and 1 taunt ) or i should craft a Giant Sand Worm and try my luck ?
still way too powerfull, pure fucking cancer shit without fun, with the cards and the hero power of the hunter, this could be at 10 mana and still too powerfull, since every fucking guy play it t9 and t10, when you have already loss half of your life with all its unremovable minions that never die and let always something on the bord
I just went all in with Tempo Mage against Midrange Hunter on turn 7 because I knew there are 2 more turns before CotW. Thus far the nerf feels huge, Hunters are much slower now.
This is exactly why I dropped a CotW for Gladiator's Longbow - to surprise people who go 'all in' on 7.

everyone gettin pissed at this just add 2 doomsayers to your deck and then give that nig +50 health, doomsayer is best card in game hands down-it makes this call of the wild look like garbage(cant top that 0/7 on turn 2)
i Hate the change, but mostly because it pushed hunters back from mid-range into face decks that peak at 3 again .... well at least some of them use Highmane but... well at least we have to be glad that leper gnome and abuive sargeant aren't as powerful as before.

Love the nerf, but could have actually been upped even more. 10 mana for this is far from unreasonable.
It's a stupid card.

The card was strong but hunter hasn't been in a while. It sucks that this card has been the crutch of Hunter since standard came out.
You are not prepared!
Should i delete one copy?

Hunter is now priest tier class.
Sweet, now Ateish staff will give me 9 drop.

Disagree with the philosophy behind the nerf.
If a card is broken or too powerful then nerf it, but that is not what the official statement from Blizzard says.
Blizzard is in effect saying that they nerfed it because it was played in most Hunter decks.
That is not nerfing a specific card but trying to nerf a class.

I don't play this card anymore. I've found it to be too slow.
