Even better, who the fuck plays Harpy in warrior when you have Raging Worgen much cheaper and more effective. If it only were rogue or druid (or even shaman or warlock)...
Gimmick deck? Of course, but at least try to make a gimmick that is not a parody of an already existing stupid deck.
I don't think the new version is a playable card, which is sad. At (0) it would be fine with its new text; or maybe (2) but with "Draw a card" tacked onto the end.
I like the overall thought process behind the nerf, I just think the execution is a bit lacklustre.

Or even better, you let him play whatever he wants ?
Harpy into pre-nerf charge = 2 cards, 12 damage = 2 fireballs. It just makes sense and I doubt he played it as combo like worgen.
It's fun to play basic cards that nobody knows they even exist, the surprise factor has a huge impact. Darkscale Healer has won me TONS of games in priest decks.
Lol, yeah, sure dude, can you tell us at which rank this "great" card (Darkscale Healer) has won you TONS of games? I'm very curious, because it seems that you are over-exaggerating a lot.
Why you talking bout it killing the otk decks ? ... without thaurissan --> worgen + charge+ inner rage + faceless = 9 mana 24 damage ...
This card become op in my opinion ....also in patron would be really powerfull : the giants , berserker , good trades with patrons , malkorok .. patron warrior will became a very aggressive deck we ll see his comeback in top tier decks.
go with Worgen deck on Wild, see how your winrate dies. why? because there's plenty of good taunts there. see how a deck like this gets dismantled when there's decent defensive resources to use. also, how is replacing this version of Charge with another gonna help things? now you can't add a minion like that hunter Wurm that gets crazy strong from trading because it's gonna be too simple to pull it off. is this just choosing another hole to stuff into until the next nerf needs to happen?
anyways keep on killing interesting decks. quick, kill off every version of Handlock and the like and replace them with more Arcane Giants, curve midrange decks and just erase every gimmick deck outta the game because combos aren't interactive, but getting outcurved is so much better? so when's Blizzard gonna learn the MTG lesson, that as time goes by with more cards more combos will emerge, and instead of killing the combos and decks outright you should provide defensive resources and counters that stop them, and you allow the combo players to play the decks they like?

9 mana and 2 cards to clear a board seems perfectly fine to me. (paladin can do that for as little as 4 mana and two cards) And if the worm survives after that the opponent's board wasn't that big to begin with. You would have to come up with a pretty crazy card to break this new version of charge.
absolutely agreed with your point - there aren't really ways to utilize this Charge yet to a broken combo - but isn't that exactly what we're talking about? so because giving Charge is a risky mechanic, things have to be bent into frame. Dreadsteed had to become a Warlock card, Warsong had to go, etc. things are being bent into the game and have been so far, obviously, to avoid poor gameplay experience and allow design space. so this new Charge, that now costs 1 mana and can't attack heroes on the first turn, will most certainly block even more stuff. this card basically says "watch the fuck out not to give Warrior a up to 9 mana cost creature that could be busted if it had Charge cast on it"
sure there's no really insane play you could do with Charge now, I mean I guess you got Boogeymonster just for tilting your opponent into a laughing fit... but as design space goes, we ain't getting a card like that for Warrior anytime soon. we could have all avoided the Worgen trouble if something like Soggoth was actually competitively costed and possibly not Legendary, but buffing things is not in their philosophy and Taunt is +1 mana they say.
I just think the better strategy would have been to introduce defensive resources rather than removing the offensive ones.
Present to me one card design that would be broken with new charge that isn't broken by itself please.
jk probably though? (posted mostly for fun, so don't rage me pls)
Like I said a couple posts back, 9 mana, two card board clear is not broken. Not even close. That's why I think claims that the new charge would limit design space even more than the old is pretty dumb. As long as the minion can't go face, the worst I can come up with is a boardclear combo.
Well, the worst card I can come up with is a card that says "whenever this is dealt damage, deal that much damage to your opponent", but this would be totally broken because of shield slam anyway.
I've found the card is great with Barnes and some deathrattle minions like Sylvanas Windrunner and Wobbling Runts (yeah I just felt like trying the card for once in constructed and it worked fine) in a N'Zoth control warrior. Allows for instant popping.
i like the new charge quite a bit. it empowers minions with statlines, that have been regarded as being not viable, because of a lack of health. kinda unique in that sense. i'd like a list of good synergistic minions for the new charge. things that i have come up with for now are: Justicar, Worgen, the Darkbane/Lightbane sisters and i also had this crazy idea of a fatigue warrior with ancient shades that could be used as removal with charge and at the same time put cards in your deck for the golden monkey... but that didn't work well yet :D

This change makes me sad because OTK worgen warrior will be gone forever. It would have been better to remove it from standard and leave it in wild!

Charge will be used more often, in more decks. good change.
If blizzard really hated OTK warrior, they were supposed to nerf Battle Rage, not this card... (battle rage is like the best draw in the game);
Murloc Paladins to me are much worse than OTK warriors... so I don't like this nerf..

Charge is not broken with the current card set. Therefore the conclusion is that a new card is in development that will make charge broken. Hype.

Blizzard and I see eye to eye regarding combo decks. They are very unfun to play against (and IMO to play with as well).
Time to craft Boogeymonster for immediate value.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
Every time a combo deck gets good enough to be playable, blizzard nerfs it.
