I think it should and I don't think it will make the the card broken (unlike Thing from Below) by doing so. It has far fewer cost reduction triggers and it's really only useful in one deck, Beast Druid. I think it'd be a solid buff to a card that saw zero play before and might see play in some Druid Beast decks now.
I think it would be a stronger synergy than with the Thing from below. Reminds me a little bit on the original Undertaker which was so strong because playing deathrattle minions didn't give you a disadvantage (to the contrary). A beast druid wants to play beasts anyway and by doing so, he gets the synergy (unlike totem shaman, who only wants to play the good totems, but not necessarily the hero power totems). If Druid curves out on turns 1-3, he has already played three solid minions and gets a 4 mana 6/6 without drawback. Later on a 0 mana 6/6.
Although the Knight doesn't have taunt, I think the Knight would be even stronger in Druid than the Thing in Shaman...
I think that if this mechanic would be applied, the card should cost a bit more, to make it a late-game tempo play, rather than allowing (beast) druid to cheat out big minions even faster. They already have enough ways to do that, so I don't really want to see more of it.
It would be slightly worse than TFB, sure, but TFB is *insanely* strong so it's not really a good indication...
Actually, It would be better than TFB. See, Thing from Below rewards building a deck around Totems which in and of themselves are subpar minions (mostly *cough* 2 mana 3/4 *cough*) and around the use of Shaman hero power (arguably one of the worst hero powers). Knight of the Wild, even though it has no taunt, would be better, rewarding the spamming of beasts, which are pretty decent minions stat-wise (especially the class-specific ones).
A change to Knight of the Wild would end up in soul-crushing turns in the likes of turn 5 Stranglethorn Tiger into -> 6 mana 10/10 (Menagerie Warden) into -> double 2 mana 6/6 and any other 3 mana play.
Let's then as ourselves is this. If a 6 mana 5/5 + 5/5 is slightly broken, how broken is a 2 mana 6/6 directly following a turn 6 10/10 worth of stats? (I'm calculating the cost considering you'd problably be summoning beasts every turn starting at turn 2).
Thing from below would be balanced if there were no totems that are highly valuable. Out of 7 totems, 3 are pretty good and the fact that shaman can generate a lot of totems now with these specific class cards, they are pretty good. Knight of the wild tough doesn't have taunt and is a 6/6 in stats. I guess with 7 mana, it would be fine as there are not very much beasts in the early game you definitely have to put in play early. There are some sure but they are more vanilla stats than very op. Guess even with 8 mana it would be played as you can't really get value out of it right now
I mean if the card doesn't make the archetype broken or OP, everyone jumps ship and says the archetype is weak/overrated/not top tier/etc....
Beast Druid right now is at a decent state, around low Tier-2/high-Tier 3... It'd just need an extra boost like this to make it top tier.. and then everyone starts complaining and calling OP...
But to answer the OP, I think that card is a good idea to make Beast Druid more viable. I've been wanting to play Beast Druid as top tier deck, but too bad, Kara didn't boost it enough.
A hypothetical thought process:
Suppose Knight of the Wild worked liked Thing from Below, in your opinion, do you think it will be balanced?
Comparing it with Thing from Below:
What do you think?
Yes I think, it's a Class Card so it's fine, and even would be worse than Thing From Below.
My magic will tear you apart!

I actually think it would be kinda OP.
Since it's not a beast itself, I think it probably would be pretty balanced, yes.

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?

Just remember the good times!
I approve this change
