I can't believe people say this is worse than Dragon Egg. Please tell me how "draw a card" is worse than "draw a 0 mana 2/1 and play it" ? And don't tell me you can activate dragon egg twice or more, this isn't realistic.
Ideally you'd want to cast something like Blessing of Kings on them.
it really is an awful card. If a minion had 0 attack the effect has to be ridiculous to be played(like nerubian egg).
The is a reason not a single 0 attack minion is being played in any deck....
You are right and wrong. Right that the effect of a shitty minion has to be good and wrong that zero attack minons are not played. You mentioned Nerubian Egg yourself, but Doomsayer is standard. As are Flametongue Totem and Mana Tide Totem . And I've seen Dragon Egg in some paladin decks (but nothing highly competetive).
A rogue deck with raptor and defender of argus this card can be good, if the opponent kill it you lose 1 mana, gain 2 life and draw a card, look better in raptor decks than loot hoarder, more easy for combinations.
I disagree. I've never seen a deathrattle Rogue run Defender (though I suppose that would be somewhat doable) but I would never ever run this over a Loot Hoarder. There are plenty of other targets to put Raptor on (Huckster especially) and Loot Hoarder is still a 2/1, which forces your enemy do something about it, while the egg, unless you always manage to combo it with something else, will be completely useless.
That's kind of odd, in my experience pretty much every deathrattle rogue plays defender. Maybe that was just at the beginning of the archetype. Now deathrattle rogues play a bit differently, often combined with more archetypes.
Obviously you don't play this over loot hoarder. Hoarder is a 2 drop.

In OTK warrior this card is better then loot hoarder quite often, maybe even better then acolyte. It cycles or it tanks two damage it's still a win for 1 mana in that deck were as soon as you found your combo the game is over.

Not really, if he's not clearing it, you only have ways of dealing 1 damage + you catch it in a wild pyro commanding shout combo, those usually end up with battle rage.
Also, about this card, I see tempo rogue started running it as a 1 mana draw card, token. They either cold blood it or argus it or abusive it if it stays alive, otherwise that deck is pretty happy to run a 1 mana draw a card as it also activates combos.
Deck shrinking card. 28 card deck gets your combo faster. Still favour loot hoarder, can't see this getting a huge following. Maybe in some combo driven decks where card draw is more important than board presence.

The problem is that it's dead card until you get some synergy on it. The worgen deck seems to be pretty tight on space. The only thing I can see being replaced is blood to ickor. Though, that serves as an activator for wild pyro.
I don't see the card being played in a tempo deck because it's too weak in a losing positioning. The opponent will just straight up kill it because the deathrattle isn't as bad as getting abusived or cold blooded.

Perfect Priest card.
Turn 1 Runic Egg followed by Turn 2 Purify secures your card draw and crushes the last leftover sense out of this class.
OTK warrior card. If they don't kill it, battle rage value. If they do you draw a card, which is good for you, you just need to cycle fast.
This + Dragon Egg is not half bad with Explorers hat, maybe some kind of Zoo hunter with Menagerie cards? Card is ok in stats/mana.
It is a good card when you cast Brawl, if die you don't lose much and you have a chance to kill all enemy minions.
Someone needs to make an Omelette deck with all the eggs and call it "A Wild Omelette Appears" :D

If it were 2 mana, draw 2, it would be playable. As it is there is no reason whatsoever to play it.
This card should have been specific card for Priest. Just to make fun with Priest even more.
IIt's nice thing when you get it off peddler, most of the time you'll be able to suicide it with alpha, abusive or any kind of buff
