@2:45 “this deck, if you don’t care about win-rate…”
I feel like Zeatalot right now, I'm so triggered. Who in their right mind would want to play a non-competitive deck with no regard for win-rate? You can make a deck like that, but an entire class? Why are they trying to force an archetype, why not force a healing warrior or a resurrect rogue? I think that they're really afraid of Priest become OP but they have no real intention of addressing it. Priest will definitely always be bad in comparison to other classes because of the base deck. They need to redesign that basic deck or just delete the Priest class entirely.
Tempo swing for priest (compare to mark of yshaarj), can be used on northshire to become 4/3 if you no longer need the passive (to trade better with zoo/totem golem for example) or destroy any 4 attack minion while silencing it before it dies, since priest have no way to deal with 4 attack minions, whilst cycling through your deck at the same time...
me too, too bad the art does not match up to what the card does :\
How so? Silence takes care of negative status effects. In Warcraft world, purifying spells generally take away both positive and negative effects (including Warcraft III.)

First it's friendly only, no flexibility and overcosted when he already has 0 mana silence and 4 mana silence all enemy draw card, second priest need more tempo based minion that can actually be played on turn 2-3 that is strong enough against agro (1/3 is weak), third no one has found unicorn priest deck except firebat opponent (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09NCE81owjo)
Apparently we aren't playing the same game because to me (and everyone but you it seems) priest is BY FAR the worst class in hearthstone. Your justifications for bashing some of my explanations are terrible.
Northshire IS actually too slow because it dies to basically every two drop before you get a chance to heal and I'm not playing wild so I don't have deathlords and that stuff to keep her safe. If you actually (as a priest) have a minion on the board by turn 5 or 6 so you can heal it and draw good for you you're better than me.
The point I'm making about 2 card board clears is you actually have to run 4 cards (if you're running 2 of each) which takes up design space in your deck. You also often end up having 1 of the pieces (say circle) without the other. And it doesn't even clear everything if the minions are really big. When you compare it to another 2 card clear with pyro and equality that kills everything no matter the size. So yeeeeah.
Um yup by turn 5 it's usually too late to heal because you're almost dead by then if you're playing against warlock, mage, hunter, or maybe warrior that's going to kill you in 1 turn anyways so it doesn't matter.
Shadow word death that 4 mana 7/7 and pass your turn while the shaman already has 3 other minions on the board. Yup insane value!!
Holy nova IS bad without chosen. How many other spell damage cards are played in any deck anywhere on ladder (except maybe azure drake). There's a reason for that though. It's because they're terrible cards.
Cabal is only good v early game minions which if they're still on the board by turn 6 you're dead anyways.
I'm talking about being able to compete with all decks not just agro OR control. You can't spend 6 cards on board clears 6 more on hard removal and expect to win a tempo match (which is what hearthstone is). This is not my fault nor do I wish it were this way but to be competitive in this game if you're running any card costed over 6 mana it better have freaking insane value.
Well Priest does have good cards in the wild format but I'm talking standard here.
Right but that's my point! Animal Companion IS too random when compared to Call Of The Wild. Blizzard keeps power creeping the game which makes old cards that WERE good obsolete. I mean when was the last time priest got a 4 mana 7/7 or an 8 mana summon 12 mana worth of minions or even a board clear that works. Priest cards ARE too slow in today's hearthstone climate it's just a fact. It's my favorite class and I spent months of WOG trying different decks and none of them could get past rank 12. Priest is in a sad state and (back to the original comment) makes me and a whole lot of others salty over the release of such a piece of crap card when other classes are getting much better things and are more powerful classes to begin with. I mean priest should have been the class to get some kind of portal to summon a minion and heal. Or have a buff added that could be used before turn 5.
One thing that really gets me from the dev notes on this? "At one mana people just used it to cycle". Uh... Yeah. So what? Priest has abysmal card draw, and they already have a 1-mana card that cycles. Except that that one actually provides a tangible benefit most of the time, and if worst comes to worst, you can play it on the enemy minions to cycle. I fail to see why a 1-mana card that cycles is so gamebreaking. I just don't. 99% of the time all you're accomplishing is losing 1 mana of tempo.
Card should have been:
Purifying Priest
Minion
2 Mana
2 / 3
Battlecry: Silence a minion. If it is an enemy minion also deal 1 damage to it. If it is a friendly minion also heal it for 1.
Another way to make this card work would have been to add the following text to it:
"When you play this spell, randomly replace one card from your opponent's hand with this spell"
Problem solved :)
So to summarize Ben Brode:
@2:30 “Non-Competitive fun deck”

I swear, I got the same thing this morning and laughed. I'd already deleted all of my Priest decks.
They should just delete the priest class and replace it with a new aggro class .
Demon hunter? Or monk because it's quite similiar to priest
i hope this was a joke, because that was almost as funny as this card.

There once was a man from Nantucket...
Scandal, how can they be so bad at balancing the classes? insulting

Guys, I know how to fix purify.
2 mana, replace your opponents class cards with priest cards.
BOOM!
Looks like this is Blizzard's new way to give us more deck slots, they simply reduce the number of playable classes. Genius, I'd say.

Lorewalker Cho OP!?
Battlecry: Give the OP two Bananas
Deathrattle: Replace the OP with Ragnaros the Firelord
