The only good thing I have to say about this card is that it combos pretty well with Shadow Madness. But that's it. And that's still pretty bad given that you usually sack the minion you took anyways.
I have a feeling that Blizzard is starting to push a priest version of Handlock with this card + herald or the new legendary. Or maybe silence/ressurect priest could be the unicorn priest deck that BBrode was talking about
I am really interested to why this card costs 2 mana...... if it was enemy minion too it would be.. still bad! go figure.. priest have mass dispel like forever..

I think they made it on purpose
they have to mock the playerbase one way or another. They're Blizzard, afterall.
I've just been playing for two months, been in Blizzard games for years tho, and some MTG prior to this. Where Bliz has a pretty sterling reputation for excellence in the way they design and execute games, and where HS has shined by being a digital TCG that can dynamically fix broken cards, this expansion has brought to my attention sone significant flaws, and actually amateurism in the HS design process.
The bigger concern for me is how linear they are pushing the decks, like they are designing the Menagerie deck before they even design the set, thinking "players will have to sift through the library and figure out how to make this." That's just bad set design. Leave it up to the players to figure it out and make our own creation. That's the whole hook in TCG's. Without that, we're playing a side-scroller here (only not as cool as Contra.) Some pre-planning has to happen for the sake of balance, but what they've done here with Warlock, Druid, Priest, Dragons is just so blatant and it saturates the game in a sense of boredom.
Then there's the issue of listening to your player base. Forget what Brode thinks for a second; If I'm a Bliz CEO observing what is going on here, I'd be bringing down the hammer on this hair-brained nonsense of leaving the meta so unbalanced, because it's gonna short-circuit the player base and/or lifespan of this game by boring people who are only playing to have fun. People are playing vs. Warriors 35% of the time, and Priest is unplayable in your two main game formats - Standard and Arena. In a digital-only game format where modifying cards is only an update away, the fact that we're expecting an expansion to solve the imbalance shows that it's not just an issue about the Adventure. It's bad development.
That said, Bliz is still a brilliant company, and it's not beyond them to correct course. Frankly I'm surprised that a company that is so polished is allowing clunky and disjointed patterns to be defining a flagship franchise. I've read the forums, so I know I'm not alone. I just hope they're listening.
You can silence Venture Co. Mercenary and draw a card at the same time! The combo to get a 7 mana 7/6 battlecry: draw a card is real :O
Just remember the good times!

How about Purify -- 1 mana: Silence a minion. If it's friendly, add Purify to your hand at the end of your turn.
easiest 10 dust in my life
Genius has side effects.
But... Silence...
How drunk/high were they when they created or even think to make this card ? i mean really .. Dafuq ?!
Breaking news, they're changing Anduin's class to "Altar Boy" from priest due to how much of a pounding he receives on a regular basis.
At the bare minimum it shouldn't be limited to your own minions, jesus.
Regular NA Arena Leaderboard player.
Reached #1 in NA arena leaderboard in May 2018 with a 9.07 average!
the cost should be reduced since it can only target your own minions. priest 100% dead this expansion
Spellslinger Nerf/Buff

The thing is even in watcher deck there are not many targets for this rubish, the deck basically has no curve. Watcher, Statue thats it.
watcher into owl into statue into spellbreaker + power word shield. Maybe tempo won't be a problem but sadly this card kind of screws with the tempo
don't question it...
