Everyone calling this a bad card clearly doesn't play shadowform. This card in wild is amazing!
Then make a viable shadowpriest deck and call it great! Easy, right?
I mean, I don't wanna brag but, reno shadowpriest is one of only two decks that were entertaining enough for me to take to legend...so....
Shadowpriest to legend in standard? Either you are lying or went on an incredibly lucky streak. Shadow priest in standard is probably the worst priest deck there is. The only thing I can't argue is that shadowpriest is fun.
I don't know where you read standard from the word "wild" but ok.
Too slow IMO. Against any decent curving Shaman (even Midrange), Dragon Warrior, or Zoolock, by turn 4 you're already being hit in the face for what, 8 damage per turn?
Then this comes out and does nothing that turn either, leaving your opponent a turn 5 to either kill this (even something as simple as Rockbiter + Totem Golem kills this and the Golem even survives) and regroup, or simply ramp up the SMORC and then you depend on having very specific cards in your hand (Auchenai AND Circle, one or 2 of the Shadow Words, Excavated Evil). Chances are you don't have what you need and you're dead at t6.
It is sadly not as good as you think it is as Priest's spells are very low value and usually 4+ mana. You are only going to play one or two spells together at most times and even then this has to stick vs aggro on turn 4. Sadly, not that good.
Amazing card for shadowpries, considering tournament medic was already a good card in that deck, Unlocks inspire potential. People who say this card is bad are not seeing the whole picture, this card could be the fulcrum of that kind of deck.
Pro players said that priest needs 2-3 expansion buffs to get viable but these cards don't even change the class's state. the only thing they did is to put Resurrect in a 3 cost minion (so 3+2=5) so after blackrock goes out by the end of the year we wont miss it ( yeah tons of priest decks use resurrect btw!:))))
and as many people stated priest's only viable option against aggro is Auchenai+Circle heal (or Embrace the shadow+circle heal) and this card just ruins your combo against aggro by doing 3 face damage to you
time to move to another class. zooadin looked nice in the show.

The heal effect is only relevant later in the game, on turn 4 it's good enough as a 3/6 with pseudo-taunt against face decks.
Also, 4+ mana? The only Priest spells I ever run that are 4+ are Entomb and Excavated evil, everything else is 3 or below. Shield, Pain, Smite, Death, Flash Heal, Circle, Thoughtsteal, Resurrect, Shaping, and even Shadowform.
Another semi-useless 4 mana drop that is anti-synergistic with the best 4 mana drop Anduin can play... The secret theme of this expansion is: GTFO Priest players, just comply and play Warrior instead. FeelsPriestMan Thank you for the design balance Team 5, keep up with the good work. I'm seriously sad as fk right now.
good, we need more, does not fit in to the most succesful unicorn priests we have seen so far and so I don't think it has the chops to make it into a powerful contructed priest deck right now, maybe later.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Wow! So you expend a spell for a whopping 3 face heal vs aggro while most often you will remove just one minion (aggro decks have very few SWD targets, Auchenai/Circle hurts yourself for 3 or you just waste an amazing board clear circle for mere 3 hp facelift, SWP only removes small threats, flash heal wont deal with the board, smite is just too bad to be played, thoughtsteal is too slow while shaping doesn't fit into most control decks). Yeah, it will help mightily vs. aggro, dream on!
The two most common aggro decks at the moment are Dragon Warrior and Shaman. Against warrior, Death hits Grommash, Corruptor, Crusher, and Ragnaros if they run that. Against Shaman there is Flamewreathed, Thing From Below, and quite often something buffed by Flametongue.
If you think Circle of Healing is only good for clearing with Auchenai when you can run cards like Injured Blademaster (which you probably will with the new ress minion) and Northshire Cleric, you need to play more Priest.
Are you saying that Pain is bad vs. Aggro? Have you ever played Priest? Have you ever seen a Totem Golem, Flametongue Totem, Argent Horserider, Tuskarr Totemic, Tunnel Trogg, Alexstrasza's Champion, Frothing Berserker, Ravaging Ghoul or Twilight Guardian?
Smite is an excellent card, you should try it sometime, especially together with Wild Pyromancer.
And aside from all these comments, my argument was never that these spells or others were good vs aggro, I'm just pointing out how incorrect your comment was about Priest spells being "usually" 4+ mana.
And aside from that as well, as I've already said, the heal is a mostly an irrelevant effect until later in the game. When you're at turn 7-8 and are low on health, you can play this card + Shield or Smite + Pain or Death for a 6 heal. Or you can play this + Resurrect + something. Having that heal is very relevant when Priest normally runs no taunts, to protect against finishing burst. That is why Antique Healbot was in almost every single control and midrange deck.

How am I supposed to argue with someone who can't even read?
I never said anything about priest spells being 4+. I never said Circle of Healing is just for clearing. And there is a reason why SW:P is often left out - many times you'll just pain a small target is not a threat anyway, plus it's pretty slow since it only removes 1 minion while the board is usually flooded with other threats if you are up against aggro or zoo. Often times you'll play this pseudo taunt and have no spells or targets. Another situational card for a situational class. It's pretty bad, there's no way around it.
So why exactly are you arguing for the viability of Priest spells against aggro when I was simply listing <4 spells that are used in decks? Who is it that can't even read?
Why are u guys sayin' that is quite useless 4 drop? Its the best anti-aggro 4 drop ,except of auchenai soulpriest, for priest. I can easily see this in my heavy-control-anti-aggro Priest deck :). You're right that Priest still won't be played on e-sports and on ladder as much as the acctual cancer decks but still i think this card is ok to put in any priest deck.
I don't understand why is this a 4 drop.. priest needs 3 and 2 drops and they give priest this I don't even..
no matter how many heal card that priest still cannot solve priest weakness.
the priest lack of card draw and depend on perfect starting hand take the games.
almost 90% win rate vs priest. The only time i loses priest when they have perfect curve from turn 1-turn 10.

so here what priest need
and here the second one

You can Purify it when you have Auchenai Soulpriest on board. Sick combo.
Change it into "whenever a spell is cast heal your hero for 2"
Would be a reno jackson for yogg priest plus it could help a bit against spell heavy shaman decks f.e.
I like the art and name, i think it will see some play but not lots since there is already lots of 4 drops for priest to use
