I guess their idea was for you to just take the early damage and heal it up later. The problem being that if you don't take care of the opponents board, they'll just give you back all of that damage and then some. Sure, it could potentially heal you for a lot, but "potential" is a word that's been plaguing Priests for quite some time, and the fact that you need to play spells alongside this to make it work just makes it that much slower.
If you gave this card to Rogue, it would be absolutely borked, and guess what? They just added more cards that could give it to Rogue if you happen to be playing one. Not only is it not what we needed, it's a possible indirect nerf!
Can I please get this in Rogue or Mage? Both those classes need the sustain to be decent control classes but they have none.
Mage have, Ice Block and Ice Barrier, will be great with the new cards.
Rogue try hard but heal is the problem...
Ice Block isn't much of sustain though. It prevents you once from dying and that is valuable if you play freeze mage because you want to combo people down but Ice Block is a horrible tool for control because you have nothing to stabilized once you are sitting on that 1 HP. Any class has unavoidable damage in some form and if you don't have HP gain to save yourself preventing yourself from having taken that lethal damage matters little.
Similarily Ice Barrier is only Pseudo-sustain because non-miniondamage punches right through it and you are not in control of when you are using it. The problem of mage lacking sustain is not simply fixed through either card, they are, as I alluded to, nice tools for delaying a turn and getting that valuable combo piece in a freeze type deck but not good for a control archetype.
I like it. The reason that Hooded Acolyte didn't work was because the effect was too passive and easily ignored. THIS, however, is something that no aggro deck can ignore.

So you drop this guy and then use purify on it? Sigh....nice combo blizzard
We didn't need more heals btw, we need something scary, something that should be cleared immediately. This card is too slow and the heal ain't worth it. I am really disappointed with these new cards
Good stats, totally reasonable play before excavated evil and single target removals, which priest has a lot.. Not good with auchenai though, but I like it.
I have to say I like it. It's like a 3/6 taunt vs. most meta decks. And you don't need to dick around with Dragon Synergy to get it. And you can actually get some added value if it sticks or you draw it late. It's actually quite good.
Don't Priests have enough 4-drops already? I don't think they need another one.
The stat line for this card is quite good. However, more healing is probably the last thing Priest needs right now. It also doesn't help that this triggers when you cast a spell, and most Priest spells are reactive and situational.

I love this card, I have made some priest decks that ironically needed healing because it focused on board clears and had no space for heals.
I believe priest will be ok after Karazhan, not crazy as zoolock but good enough to reach legend without losing your hair.
Perfect to run this because of Auchenal synergy. Suicidal Priest, here we come! Priest will die even before Zoolock, Hunter, Shaman have the lethal.
"Let Priest race to see if he dies by the enemy or by himself" Blizzard says.
Unicorn Priest is confirmed.
Dead but dreaming
WTF is wrong with Blizzard? Do we really have to spend another season looking for a unicorn?

Blizzard sure loves priest kappa
Now my Auchenai Soulpriest can help the Dragon/Control/C'thun/OTK Warrior kill me faster. Put me out of my misery.

Battlecry: Give the OP two Bananas
Deathrattle: Replace the OP with Ragnaros the Firelord
Did not expecting this might see in play but not sure if often

Everyone calling this a bad card clearly doesn't play shadowform. This card in wild is amazing!
