The card is worthless in aggro shaman you don't run spell damage cards, you could get a totem but then again you don't totem too often to make the card worthwhile.
This card is very good. Shaman will be the new Warrior after kharazan is released.. Not as good in smorc but this will definetly raise the viability of other Shaman decks like (control/midrange/totems) to another level.
This would be a killer rogue weapon though. I hope rogues get weapons like this in the future.

After nerf the best Valeera card we think "Well, a least rogue will get a lot of wonderful weapons and the class will shines again...", what they do? Release awesome weapons for shaman and warrior, like they don't already have the best weapons in game.

At that point, basically nothing. But, if you go for a 25% chance to remove the Alexstrasza's Champion, instead of a more dependable play like a Totem Golem, it'll be very bad for you if you don't get the right Totem. His point is that it can cause you to make some worse plays sometimes, but I guess it seems kind of like a new-player trap for someone who just built the deck. I suppose that's where Justicar Trueheart with Totemic Slam comes in though.

Well a) this isnt for aggro so the losing on turn 2 thing can't happen, as we arent playing for tempo style in midrange or control shamans because the class has overload, the anti tempo effect. And you dont have to swing every turn, its like people forget its worth not swinging with a weapon to make sure you hit a good target. Anyway, this card is worth playing in a spell damage theme shaman, which, btw, seems to be coming down the pipe. With some of the cards in neutral section being used too, you could make a wonderfuly effective deck.

Obviously if you have your Totem Golem, you play your Totem Golem. But it's 2 cards in a deck of 30, you're not going to have one on turn 2 all the time. And even when I do score a Totem Golem, with the overload I often just pop a hero power on turn 3 since I only have 2 mana available.

IKR! Wasn't the point of nerfing blade flurry to open up the rogue class to new interesting weapon design? Even still, I'm interested in making a Shaman that utilizes spirit claws. It is a really cool card.
before you all freak keep in mind this works as a tool for control decks too. In fact most of the new cards are great aggro killers.

1 of 4 totem in hero power, 1 Thalnos, 2 Tuskarr Totemic (1/7 chance to get spell damage) , 2 Azure Drake.
You don't need to use any bad card to buff this thing and get a 3/3 weapon for 1 mana, only have to wait the right moment.
If this is a bad card I probably the worst player in the world because looks very good to me.
This weapon is so good maybe I try a shaman pirate just for fun. :P

This just guarantees Shannan gets a 2 mana 3/2 with spell damage +1 overload (1) in the next expansion. Of those, there can be no debate.
This looks like a set up for when trogg rotates out, they add some spell damage minion for shaman and bam, new spell damage shaman.
