it's pretty amazing, because even if they remove the weapon you still get the body and viceversa, if they decide to remove the 8/8 you can still get one or 2 charges , also, it's still a 2 for one at the very minimum, you play medivh and they have to play weapon removal+minion removal to get completely rid of him.
A lot of people call any card that costs more than 4 "too slow for the meta."
Anyway, in a real control deck this can work. Maybe in a new handlock where you play medivh and then taunt him up with a sunfury protector to ensure you survive another turn.
The best thing about this card is the fact that even if he dies you can still get benefit.
well we got a weapon that everyone has asked for but i am actually scared/sad after the sudden realization that now that all classes have weapons, everyone will need to mainboard ooz at some point.
I'd say even Prince Malchezaar has playable potential. It's probably not good enough for any decks right now but in fatigue/ heavy control matchups he's amazing. Basically it's a tech card that you use if you encounter control decks as a control deck. Besides that I'd say he's pretty good in arena as legendary cards are usually higher quality than commons and you put the extra 5 cards into your deck after the mulligan.

Its a card with normal stats and a terrible downside. The card will never see play. The extra cards in your deck only matter if you actually reach fatigue and in every other matchup he makes your deck MASSIVELY worse.

Well, that's why I said in control - control matchups. They reach fatigue every single time. And then whoever has Malchezaar wins. I'm not saying he's gonna be a staple. But I disagree that he's got no chance of ever seeing play under any circumstances, because he's actually a win condition in control matchups.
This card could be a MVP in a control meta, but in this one I have serious doubts. What are the best decks right now ? Aggro and Mid Shaman, Dragon Warrior, Druid, Mid Hunter. Against all these decks (maybe except Druid), this card is too slow and efficient at turn 9 only, provided you haven't burnt all your expensive spells to deal with the opponent, and provided your get impactful minions with the RNG. It could see play in a control tempo Mage or a Yogg Druid, but in these two decks, wouldn't you prefer an impactful Ragnaros on turn 8 ?
my guess is that only mages will eventually play this card. mage has a ton of removal to make a stall deck and you can play this + ragnaros. antonidas doesnt see play these days i would say this card will take his place. in a stall-yogg sort of control mage medivh is a powerhouse. this card + the 1/1 1 mana book that gives you a spell boost mage a lot in my opinion. and thats good i think mage, priest and rogue need some kind of boost i think this card can do well in all of these 3 classes but i think mage is number 1 candidant
Definitely a win more card. I mean if you are priest and have the luxury of spending your turn 8 dropping this guy and doing nothing else and then have a few decent spells in hand to get value from him over the next few turns you already won.
Unless you are facing combo or renolock you've won at that point as priest.
Seems a bit overrated. If this card does become popular people will tech against it with silences and weapons techs. Also the ability, you might use once a turn once you actually get the weapon and priest has a card similar to this ability and it sees no play. It can have a lot of value for the right class like Mage or Priest, classes where you can take a big minion off of the board with a card that cost 4 mana and above. The value is there, it's just the RNG and the fact that it can be easily handled. IMO the best card you can compare this to is probably Rhonin.
i think it's slow like others pointed out.
think it would be fun to mod a pirate warrior with upgrades with other durability enhancers and cheap spells
Time to play Greenskin in tempo mage!

It's very slow but its very cool.

Just imagine this, into preparation, into sprint or something.

High risk high reward, verry slow but can get lots of value. Maybe fatigue Mage as a win condition.
I guess its an ok card that will see play if fatigue/control become a thing again, well see.
Staple in wild Yogg based decks Kreygasm, canno't wait to test it out :)

That said, I will probably still run him.

I would totally play this in grinder yogg mage with cabalist tomes.
However in a world were this sees actuall play and warrior sticks around with Hunter and shaman ill propably run double ooze/Harrison.
And than this looks even kinda bad.
