So this card is next to unplayable if you're actually trying to climb ladder. Don't get me wrong, my favorite decks are all rng circuses but even I think this card is bad.

OMFG SYLVANAS UNPLAYABLE !!!

That isn't an answer it's a 6 mana 5/5 which in this case wasn't even intentionally put into your deck. It might be good in some best case scenarios, but as any cg player knows you need answers for when you're behind, because if you're winning it doesn't matter. Granted it's one of the better legendary cards, it's one of what, 100 cards you might see?
I want this card to be good, I'll even play it in some silly decks but again, for ladder purposes you're gonna get punished for inconsistency.

What are you talking about man ?
You said Malchezaar is unplayable because you would lose the game if you draw one of the 5 legs instead of an "answer".
I then said Sylvanas was unplayable because you would lose the game if you draw her instead of an answer. This is to show you that your argument is ridiculous, because Sylvanas is one of the best cards in the game and yet it's not a topdeck "answer".
I never talked about Malchezaar generating a Sylvanas or something.
You are comparing a card that has one of the strongest effects in the game with what essentially is a vanilla minion. Not quite the same. In literally every tcg having more than the minimum cards in your deck is bad news, because it makes your deck inconsistent. No different in hearthstone. Malchazar is a bad card.

On the actual topic, tried Malchezaar in Discardlock, it's as good as I expected, I've yet to lose a game. Warlocks doesn't care about drawing dead cards, and dead cards are good fuel for discard mechanic anyway. And those dead cards turn into game winning cards if you didn't win the aggro way.
But hey, keep trash talking, keep thinking you know better than 90% of the community, you are all special snowflakes and pro players :).
You probably didn't win the aggro way because you put a 5 drop and a bunch of legendaries in your deck.
One wants to play at a minimum number to increase the chances of drawing your answers faster. I play warrior control and there have been numerous times that I lost to Aggro coz i did not draw an answer on the right time. Imagine drawing those extra legendaries early while facing a board of totem golem, trogg, and Faceless. No axe by turn 2? No execute by turn 4? No brawl by turn 5? GG
However, in a control match up, this would be viable coz it would boil down to who has the greedier deck. It also helps you win the fatigue war.

Nice troll. Play midrange or control some day, little aggro tard. Only aggro and combo decks want minimum cards. Midrange and control want more cards. I don't care about other tcg.
No actually they don't. Only in wild is fatigue an actual factor worth prepping for and mid-range NEVER wants extra cards especially not extra cards they didn't choose for their deck.

"if". I never said I didn't :) reading is hard
And I'm telling you why that if would come to fruition.
@ticandtac I think our discussion got convoluted with all the comparisons we were going through, and far be it from me to shoot you down I know how it feels to really take to a particular card or strategy. Hell, if I played against you and you were dropping all kinds of crazy legendary cards that never see play I would be stoked. But I'm one of the nice ones, it's the shamans/hunters/zoo locks that will run you over and bm you the whole way. By answers I mean you need ways to reliably deal with the board on exactly the right turn, which means you want to raise the chances of drawing those answers, the cards you carefully select to put in your deck.
I'm really having fun with Burgle rogue right now, which sort of has a similar effect: you get random cards at your disposal.
The difference is those cards cost mana, but you're usually generating multiple cards upon return and they go directly to your hand, not the top of your deck. In essence, within the vacuum of the turn you draw one of Malchezaar's legendary creatures you're LOSING a card (the one you would have drawn).
I get the argument that he is good in a control heavy deck. This would require plenty of mass removal and card draw to minimize the disadvantages. He wouldn't be awful there like he is in other decks, just gimmicky and unreliable.
So this card is next to unplayable if you're actually trying to climb ladder. Don't get me wrong, my favorite decks are all rng circuses but even I think this card is bad.

Clueless player and / or troll detected. This card is good only in fatigue decks. Control decks don't want random legendaries against aggro or midrange. They want removal and heal. Midrange decks don't want random cards period. You have it completely backwards. Only fatigue decks want more than minimum cards. Try not being such a smug prick the next time you're talking about something you know nothing about.
I'm using him in all my fatigue decks. So far have tested in Mill Rogue and he's been totally fine. Curator seeks out your most important combo piece to make the draw more consistent. Adding 5 more cards resulted in fatigue blow outs where I was 12-13 cards ahead, without playing Deathlords or Dancing Swords. First game I got Thalnos, Moroes, and KT.
Actually if you have more cards in your deck you're less likely to draw the cards you need when you need them. I'm not talking about specific cards, I'm talking about general ones, like board clears, and removal, which you will most likely have multiple of. If you have 5 more cards in your deck then that's 5 more cards you may draw instead of a board clear or removal when you really need it. So yes, control decks are actually worse if they have more cards in them. And if that was a troll, then that would mean most card game players are also trolls for thinking the same.
I've been trying out this guy a little here and there. Not super impressed yet (drawing Millhouse, Skeleton Knight, and Dark Nat in one game), but still trying to find his niche! Might be suitable for a Wild demonlock deck.

He's been great in my Discolock deck so far, lmao. A sweet Bolf Ramshield helped carry me in the mid-game to a ROCKIN' victory with Elite Tauren Chieftain lololol. Power of the Horde gave me Tazdingo and it was alllll over from there. Thanks, Prince!

Also worth saying that Prince's cards come into your deck AFTER the mulligan
I've run into a few decks running this card (while running a control deck) and roflstomped them. Clogging up your deck is bad, folks.

In control is playable, the problem is control decks are in very bad spot right now.

A glorious bundle of salt.
Btw malchezar is playble .. you only need a control warrior with a lot of spells/board clear
