I dont play much dragon decks myself, but I remember notorious dragon deck lover Brian Kibler mentioned once that there are not many dragons at 6 mana and they are not constructed level good: Drakonid Crusher, Volcanic Drake and Scaled Nightmare. This one has an immediate effect and could be, in my opinion, a nice addition.
Quite crazy card... As for most dragon-synergy cards, the condition is really not much of a drawback in dragon decks with a decent number of dragon cards (think dragon priest and it's many, many options) and it seems that this one is quite certainly better than Kodo.
Spinning things differently: it's a 4 mana 3/6 + a SWD in one card. 9 points of stats for 4 mana is really good (with near-yeti perfection) and the SWD effect is invaluable...
Super strong addition to dragon decks. Can't wait to try this in priest.
Hence, slightly over the point of balance, not including the dragon synergy (I'm assuming the requirement and it being a dragon balance out). This card is very good, but not game breaking- it's simply a value card that's especially good against aggro (and who am I to complain about that?). Also, in Wild this kills a Sludge Belcher...
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
so you're paying one more mana for a kodo that you can target with that also has 1 more hp, that's ok i guess...
It has the Dragon tag witch is valuable, also the 3 attack (instead of 2) or lower aspect matters a lot is and the fact that it's NOT random is really important. I'll go ahead and call this card Very Good, more dragons are always fun!
wtf are people thinking this is so bad its insane terrible stats and bad effect useless will never see any play
Let us compare it to The Black Knight which is a Legendary Card. It's a 4/5 and on average it kills a Tazdingo (3/5 Taunt) or maybe even a Al'akir Windlord (3/5). Even though The Black Knight maybe doesn't see much play, it isn't a bad card. It's just slow, and Hearthstone tends to keep itself in a fast meta. However if the meta would ever slow down, both cards are certainly good cards. Book Wyrm certainly helps out on making Dragon decks more viable, cause of the tag itself and the effect it has. SO, Let's us do a fast stat/effect comparison; 1st of 3/6 isn't far away from 4/5, alright stats. 2nd the effects are very alike, some times even better or a little worse, depending on the situation. 3rd it is a freaking dragon, pretty rad :)

I regularly pay 2 mana and a card for that exact effect in about 90% of my priest decks. Say what you will about priest, but the effect is not useless by any stretch of the imagination lol. And when you add in the fact that this card is removal on legs...it's hard to imagine it not being good. Heck, even Kodo sees some play and it only hits 2 attack or less minions randomly.
It kills most of the meta's good cards. Troggs, Mana Wyrm, Water Elemental, Totem Golem, Manatide Totem, Fandral Staghelm, Violet Teacher, Twilight Guardian, Elise, Brann, WHILE placing your own board presence.
I feel dumb for only just now realizing how good this card is with Paladin cards. Kodo doesn't work with Keeper of Ulderman and is random. The 6 mana slot also really wasn't that good in Dragon Paladin. Dragon Paladin wasn't good before, but this card could really change that.
Does anyone else think that this will be super easy to power creeping in the next expansion? They could make the babbling book worm, which costs 7, gets +1/+1 and adds a random mage spell to your hand.
This only works if you're holding another dragon in which case the curator is going to pull another dragon much of the time. Which is fine, I think the curator goes in dragon decks well.

Eh, I think Dragon Paladin still needs a bit more. Hearthstone is a game of 1 drops and 2 drops, even when you're dropping 8 mana legendaries the game is more or less decided by how things panned out on turn 1-4. Dragon Paladin is getting the 3 drop but there's not really any 1 or 2 drop to back it up.
Possible will just have to roll with Doomsayer and hope that's enough, but Blizzard know this is how their game works and the fact they haven't printed an early game for Paladin in Standard means they don't want it to be a top tier class. They seem to be rotating through which classes have early games: Warlock always will but Paladin has lost theirs, Shaman loses it's early game next rotation, Druid is getting it's solid early game now.. The only class that is allowed to function without one is Warrior by virtue of it's endless cheap removal and Brawl.
If anyone can think of a 1 and 2 drop for Dragon Pala then please lemme know because other than Doomsayer I can't see anything.

Faerie Dragon and the historian (while not world beating cards) are good enough I believe. I have been experimenting with dragon pally over the last few days and Paladin's 3 and 4 drops are good enough about grabbing back tempo that I can afford less than stellar 2 drops.

All right, because math...
6-cost card = 14 "points" to spend
Shadow Word Pain = 2-cost = 6 points
3/6 = 9 points in stats

Specially great on coin, obviously,

Bad card, under-statted with a weak effect. With a conditional stat buff and taunt, this would've been really nice. As it is, it won't see play.
Dragon Warrior has better removal and Crusher is a better card in the 6 slot.
Dragon Priest also has better removal and likewise has competition for the 6 slot.
Does anyone else think that this will be super easy to power creeping in the next expansion? They could make the babbling book worm, which costs 7, gets +1/+1 and adds a random mage spell to your hand.
It may not seem so good at first, but then again it is basically a shadow word pain and a 4 mana 3/6 wrapped in one card... So pretty good I'd say.

Idk the 6 mana seems a little hefty.. Maybe a good replacement for Argent Commander.
