For anyone comparing Kindly Grandmother to the old Haunted Creeper, isn't it much worse than Haunted Creeper?
Haunted Creeper created 2 tokens which were a really big hassle to efficiently remove, but Kindly Grandmother just creates one body. Also, her initial body is just 1/1 and can be contested by Turn 1 minions.
So, isn't Kindly Grandmother pretty bad if the opponent has any 1/3 Turn 1 drop (like Northshire cleric, Mana worm, Tunnel Trogg, Finely) because they just trade their 1/3 into your 1/1, then use a removal spell on the 3/2?
I agree. people are missing that creeper was crazy due to first undertaker afterwards glaivezooka but also was cut in many hunter decks in the end because it simply was to slow.
Meta got much faster nowadays and the big thing is, that this doesnt challange Tuneltrog turn 2 but huge toad does. In add this gets hard countered by earthshock.
To be fair this card is not bad but its defenitely not as good as people try to make it here. Ill propably still go with elek or toad just because this is so slow and for that its not even much better in stats.
So like a totem golem, but worse. Actually does seem very balanced. Plus it can be silenced.
Do you still run silence in your decks? And would you really waste your silence on this card? (Considering if there isnt any new silence cards released in this adventure)
Also, I would save my silence for Savannah Highmane or a houndmaster-buffed beast.
Silences are always a good thing to have, but yeah I probably wouldn't use it on this. Just was pointing out that it can be silenced, therefore some people might use silence on it if they deem it necessary.
I play a lot of midrange hunter in wild these days. Will this card be good enough to push King's Elekk or Haunted Creeper out? I will try it for sure! I like the stickyness a lot, goes well with my deck!
I mean yes it is playable but it is super overrated. It will make some hunter lists for sure, but even coming from a person running nzoth in midrange hunter I still don't think it's that good

Is a beast, if the opponent don't want kill trying to avoid the 3/2 body become a easy target for the Houndmaster.
I don't think nzoth good for hunter, the max curve is 8 only because Call of the Nerf is too good to be ignored.

Call of the buff you mean (as in it shouild be buffed rather than nerfed actually)? Also lol, Grommash is too good to be ignored in Warrior, Tirion is too good to be ignored in Paladin, can you just drop the call of the nerf tirade...it has its own thread complain there.
Great card. The problem hunter has is that his beasts have trouble lasting more than one turn, and by the time he gets something sticky he is dead already.
This card is there just so you make sure you have a beast on the board on the early game. I'd go as far as to say that the stats doesn't really matter all that much. if it was 1/1 and 2/2 it would still be good. It's great against aggro. Trades 2 for 1, great on curve (this + Leokk <3). Can make 2 copies of Kill Command great again because it won't ever be a dead card, etc...
Is also great for Zoo Hunter. Great for mid range as it helps curve out. I can't really see a downside with this. It's a slightly-altered Haunted Creeper. More stats, but less split.
People who are super tilted against hunter and aggro in general will go crazy about this card if it is played at all. Look at Kripparrian's discussion of the revealed cards as opposed to Trump's much more objective view. Many here are like Kripp in that they are terrified that hunter will get a strong aggro card, so much so that any card that looks like it has the slightest potential to be powerful throws said people into mass panic.
Ultimately many times panic leads to nothing, and even when pros (who are also objective) predict some card is going to be super strong, they are many times wrong. So take a deep breath, and relax.
Now, considering that most deathrattle effects are evaluated at half value, we get 1/1 + 1.5/1 ~ 2.5/2 w/ beast tag. The main thing going for this card is that it's a beast, and spawns a beast, for Houndmaster etc. synergy. Basically, without the beast tag, this would never be played. As is, I imagine it'll see some play, but generally be overshadowed by the more tempo-oriented 2-drops.
And I wouldn't worry about silence; if they use a silence, that's costing them value equal to a 0-cost card- now you've basically used the Paladin hero power, and gotten rid of the 1 silence in their deck. Besides, they also lose tempo if they try silencing it (even if they use Earth Shock).
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
The second card doesn't have "beast" on it - that's a pretty big deal if it isn't a beast.
Big Bad not a beast? sucks
playable because sticky but not exciting
Say "Wow" for RNG!
Congrats, Blizzard. A first card that for whatever reason I find quite creepy.

Earth Shock works perfectly here, however is a nice solid card

This is a really good 2 drop for hunters, i really like the artwork
Very solid. a 3/2 for 2 beast is already borderline playable, but now it's just delayed and you get a 1/1 (also beast!) to ping around with.

I can't wait to put this in my mid range hunter .
We got our new mad scientist . Hopefully this is the new hunted creeper .
