Ragnaros is one of my favorite cards ever partially because it has such a unique effect that is very random but almost always good and because of this creates some awesome moments, and also because I seem to have bad luck with everything else, but ragnaros always helps me win games whether on my side or my opponents.
just today for instance I was plating midrange hunter against a weirdly lategame heavy hunter that might have been n'zoth based I dont know.
I had 2 minions, a 2/1 dog from highmane and a houndmaster, I have perfect lethal with my cards from hand if both my minions stay on board. I am freaking out because if I don't kill them next turn I am out basically topdecking, and I know they have better lategame. they played rag, and while many people would be scared I literally shouted with joy. I was like "YES, YES YES YES, no guaranteed removal, RAGNAROS SAVE ME!" and ragnaros hit my face and I won the game. My opponent was not amused.
So yeah, I enjoy rag and I feel like other people have got to have even better stories of this card, maybe not in such a positive light but definitely entertaining.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Rag is also one of my favorite cards as it gives value the moment you play. Even if your opponent deals with rag, it still be 8 mana 8 damage + opponent waste x cards on him.
My most memorable Ragnaros was in Ramp Druid vs Ramp Druid
We both ramp'd and my opponent inervate Ragnaros in turn 6!! ...... His rag missed my druid of the claw and went face.
Then I also inervate Ragnaros on my turn 6, while he had only Rag in his board .......... My Rag also went face
In the end we both played minions and were asking our Rag to kill any minions but BOTH OF OUR RAG WENT FACE and I won eventually
Those moments when we were saying our Rag to hit his Rag ... but our rag goes face even though we both had 3 minions on board!! was INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember this one game. I was playing Priest versus a Shaman. I had 7 minions on board and lethal next turn. Opponent has no cards on board and no in hand. His turn starts. He draws. He plays Ragnaros. Hits me in the face for exact lethal..
I wasn't even mad after that, that was amazing.
i feel you bro .... same happened with me once .... unlike you, I had only 4 minions though
was playing wild as nozoth priest.was at 7 health. He had grom and rag on his board. Played nozoth to respawn my entire boar. With two sludge belchers two sylvans cairne nozoth and infested tauren. Opponet ends the turn by armouring up. Boom!! Rag hits my face. It's been two weeks since I played wild.
Sweet baby lord Jesus, Ragi is the best card of the game. How many times he targeted the pesky 1-1 tokens when I needed him to remove large threats or go face?
How many times he snipped the opponent or avoided a Sylvanas for lethal?
so today I just got another story that I feel compelled to share.
I am playing midrange bloodlust evolve shaman without 4 mana 7/7 or tunnel trogg because why not, it is seriously my most successful non-warrior deck right now, better than midrange hunter. I am against a face shaman with hunter hero power. he has a doomhammer out and I have 16 health I only have 2 totems on board and I only have master of evolution and nerubian prophet. I draw evolve and play nerubian prophet master of evolution evolve. I get some mediocre minions and rag lightlord. he of course heals my face and the face shaman clear all but the rag which he damages hoping to kill next turn. I play stuff and send rag in to an enemy minion and it heals itself. then he play 4 mana 7/7 I trade rag in and he heals himself. then I bloddlust and send like 2 totems and rag into face for win.

So I had 3 minions and was pushing for lethal. My opponent placed Ragnarod and went face. I ignored it. Next turn he played faceless manipulator on the ragnaros. I had 3 minions and both Rags went face. Left at 1 HP, I killed him next turn.
Playing midrange warrior against midrange hunter. Been playing super aggressive since I know I can't survive double call of the wild. I have him at 7 hp, me 14. He plays CotW, I'm down to 9, nothing in hand to do anything, topdeck rag.

Turn 12 against some type of pirate aggro warrior.
I have lethal perfectly set up with 7 minions on board and 7 health left as shaman.
My opponent topdecks rag.
Rag hits my face.
I didn't play hearthstone for the rest of the day.

By RNG be purged!

There was this one time I played Ragnaros and it hit face and I lost.
