Compare to secret paladin on curve play Dr6, 7, 8 (tirion) back then. Call of the wild is great but not as broken as those 3 on curve play and it didn't get Nerf at all for more than 5 seasons. The annoying part about call of the wild is a offensive and defensive card; however, hunter doesn't really card draw mechanics and they have hard time just to survive up to turn 8 against zoo, face shaman, and miracle rogue so It doesn't deserve to be Nerf
COTW is alot better than flexible 9 mana legendaries, e.g. alexstrasza and cenarius. it makes more sense to compare it to those cards than to bad stuff noone plays just because it has the same mana cost. i wouldnt compare shadow fiend to ravaging ghoul neither.
comparing it to twisting nether is weird coz those cards are on the exact opposite of the spectrum, one is a threat and the other one is an answer.
if u go through call of the wild one by one ull see that a 5 mana charger costs 6 so far, a 5/4 taunt costs 4 and a 2/4 which buffs your other minions costs 3 in paladin (recruit thing, more situational than beasts) and costs 3 in hunter (IF YOU CAN ROLL IT - so arguably its worth a bit more than 3 mana, but lets just assume they are 13 mana combined: COTW isnt only undercosted but also has extreme high probability to 2 or 3 for 1.
the only class that can deal w/ it efficiently is mage w/ flamestrike IF the huffer wasnt used for trading and even then the hunter lost only 1 mana for 5 face damage (which would cost 2 mana in priest). compare tirion: you already have 4 classes that can efficiently deal w/ it: entomb/hex/poly/sap.
Why is everyone convinced Leokk only buffs Beasts ? He buffs all other friendly minions.
This card needs a nerf as do hunters in general. The class is by far the most broken in the game. So sick and tired of facing hunters when I know it's 90% chance I will lose.

Sounds more like a you problem than a hunter problem. In other words, learn to play.
First off, I disenchanted a legendary for it. Rend blackhand. You might say thats a horrible idea, but I will never use him anyway.
Either way, I crafted call of the wild for my midrange hunter deck. The past 5 games I've won thanks to it.
For 8 mana, you get Misha (4/4 taunt but with Leokk you get 5/4), Leokk (2/4 and gives friendly beasts +1 attack) and Hoffer (4/2 charge but with Leokk you get 5/2)
It adds up to 13/10. For 8. And, Misha has taunt which makes it hard to kill Hoffer, who does a great amount of damage. Leokk also improves your other beasts, and you're likely going to have some if you're using Hunter.
So, yeahhhhh.
And without the card, you would've lost those 5 games as midrange hunter, which shows it's exactly the type of card Midrange Hunters needed to become a competitive deck.
Call of the wild is perfectly fine as is. Only people that lose to it are players that don't play around it or waste their clears prior. Most of the time it gets played it is to allow a hunter to get back into the game. If they happen to go back to back turns with it it can be strong. If it was as strong as some of you complain it is it would be tier one and not like a tier 2.5 deck.
What other OP cards are out there now that you lost to but that's not the reason why your crying for a nerf?
It's a super good, very powerful card. Nothing wrong with that. The only reservation I have is that it's made the Hunter class very one-dimensional around the card. Flashbacks of Druid being a class revolving around two cards. If it didn't exist, Hunter would be a horribly bad class. But something to improve upon in future releases.
THE only thing that makes midrange hunter viable in current meta is this card. It is good, not op, and shouldn't be nerfed. It is not Dr. Boom. It is sucsceptible to most board clears, it can be counterspelled.
Why compare it to Cenarius? You compare it to SS tier legendaries not ones that are hardly run if you want to make an OP Claim. Compare it to Tirion for god's sake.
Anyways this is the only card giving hunter a viable deck. Face Hunter is dead, a garbage deck now, oh and if you compain about it you probably suck at the game and are a low rank player. Midrange hunter is the only solid hunter deck now, and it isn't tier 1. Besides the current meta, Call of Wild is finally the first viable late game card Hunter has ever gotten. Gahzrilla, King Krush, this new 8/8 worm, they suck.
Hunter still can't go control because of lack of card draw, but it can at least stretch its curve to 8 now, cause there is something powerful to play on 8. Mid range hunter now doesn't have to end at 6 drop savannah highmane, (or OP Boom before he rotated out), he can stretch all the way to 8.
I'd say Call of the Wild is one of the best designed cards and most important cards in the entire expansion. I hope Blizzard pushes more late game for hunter, and give the class more options.

Giving a class a card so absurd it enables a deck all by itself it the opposite of good design.
Hunter is guaranteed to not have a good card ever again for a solid year after that, until this rotates out.
Firstly, I reiterate : I don't really want anything nerfed, necessarily. I haven't faced the card enough, really, to get a feel for how overpowered it may or may not be. I was merely commenting on what appears, to me, to be an amazing amount of value in one card, moreso than any spell of its cost, or even those above it.
As for Cenarius, the comparison was to cards with similar effect, and Cenarius gives you the option of summoning 3 minions at one shot. The fact that you consider that to be mediocre, as a class legendary that costs one more mana and can only be a one-of in a deck, only illustrates the point. Tirion Fordring is indeed a very very good card, but doesn't really resemble Call of the Wild in any way, except for mana cost. And that, too, can be neutered completely by either a silence (bad), polyhex (worse), or Entomb (doom for everyone!!).
And what about turn 6 Emperor Thaurissan into turn 7 Call of the Wild in Yogg Hunter? Now that's value!
Still, not a nerf material IMO. Good or really good cards are needed, especially at that high mana cost. At 8-10 mana all effects this card gives are counterable.
IMO, Call of the Wild is on the same powercreep level as Entomb. They are both very strong card, and OP because of the lower mana cost than they should fairly be.

Twisting Nether is an 8-mana board clear and it's often seen as too expensive to run effectively. 8-mana is a lot.

Very strong card indeed and guarantee to land 5 damage with Hoffer.
Even worst if the Hunter has a board, all minions gets additional +1 Attack now due to Leokk.

CCGing since '98.
There is zero chance of this card getting changed. Please just stop whining about it.
id nerf all the bullshit shaman cards before I nerfed call
