By disappointment I mean some card that was thought to be good or meta-defining and proved to be the contrary, not some card that was originally bad since the announcement. I think it would be a nice discussion. Maybe cards that are not actually bad but couldn't show its potential due to the meta or anything else.
I'd point the shaman legendary Hallazeal the Ascended. He was thought to be the revival of control shaman but the thing is, why play slowww control shaman when face and mid-range/evolve/totem shaman proved to be so much more efficient (tier 1 efficient)? (unless you love such kind of deck).
My biggest disappointment was [card=golden]Renounce Darkness[\card]. I know this card has been beaten into the ground already, but I wish it was better.

So, what were your biggest disappointments?
That's the thing. I think most people agree that Hallazeal is a solid card, but shaman is just too good right now with it's other decks. I feel the card itself isn't disappointing in the slightest.
For me, Eternal Sentinel is one of the big disappointments. It's a great card but I thought that would be the card to take Shaman to tier 1. Turns out it's quite hard to beat a 4 mana 7/7 :p
I think weapons in general. None of them are better. Shaman got a decent one but it cant overtake doomhammer. Warrior got a garbage one. Hunters and Rogues got nothing and Pally got the only playable one but it fits a deck style that isnt great for that class atm.
For me its Deathwing, Dragonlord. I continue to try and put this in decks and I just cant really ever get much out of it. Still in dragon pally at least its a 12/12 on turn 8 if you play a consort prior. But getting the deathrattle to trigger seems impossible. But I have hit face wiht it a couple games for the win so at least there is that. That being said I'll still continue to fit it in. Ysera might make my pally deck better but I continue to replace her with the 12/12 :)
Everything worked as i expected, the nerfs were the ones that got to me,Arcane Golem and Blade Flurry and the lack of a 3 damage 2 mana damage spell for warlock, now control warlock is unplayable, combo decks that relied on arcane+faceless are useless and rogues have no boardclear.
I think Cho'Gall was a pretty big disappointment--not because people thought it would be powerful once revealed, but because a character many people were looking forward to got an effect that seems to have so much potential, but there just aren't cards available to take advantage of the effect.
I'd say the disappointment for me is Scaled Nightmare. Not because I thought it'd be overpowered or anything but because 1) I was hoping for a more defensive or tempo themed dragon with the expansion and 2) the card is bugged right now which means I can't even make a cool buff deck with it.
I thought that Dragonlord legendary was going to be meta defining ....... I have it in golden never use it. Maybe I'll try it in my N'Zoth ramp druid deck but 10 mana could be to greedy with N'Zoth too.
Yogg-saron was my biggest disappointment since its reveal. And it still is. Such a cool character, reduced to a rng shitstorm. Not that its a bad card, it has potential as a tech card of sorts. But I was expecting something badass, like n'zoth or c'thun.

Hogger, thought he would be the next boom

Missing lethal since June 2015.
Undercity huckster. I thought he would revitalize tempo rogue but it turns out miracle rogue is still just plain better.

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
#FireMikeDonais
I was hoping Herald Volazj would turn out to be much better. Nope, Priests get another useless legendary.

Hallazeal the Ascended
For me it's Fandral Staghelm. I wanted that card to be good so bad.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.

I'm between Klaxxi Amber-Weaver and Hammer of Twilight
I was thinking the Klaxxi was going to make C'thun druid a good one ans the Hammer at least a option for Shaman. Both disapointed me greatly.
Flamewreathed Faceless because it is just 7/7 and not 10/10 or 12/12 for 4 mana.
Hands down C'Thun. With so many of the cards designed just to make him tick, you have to think the devs are disappointed in him too.
