It is a bit too powerful, people are comparing this to Blessing of Might and Cold Blood, etc. barely by saying "1 mana 3 damage, need a minion, 1 mana, 3 damage, more flexible, etc." but its incorrect, as the class is completely different. There are several problems with Warlock/Zoo having this card:
1.- You can generate any number of 1/1 minions from lots of cards, Forbidden Ritual, Imp Gang Boss, (Implosion in Wild), etc. Neither Rogue or Paladin can generate that amount of "free minions" that come with almost no loss of tempo or resources. Thus loosing the minion in the process is irrelevant, as you will always have a minion on board if playing Zoo correctly.
2.- Dark Peddler and Warlock hero power, as you can generate ton of resources to synergize with those 1/1 from past point.
3.- It doesn't matter if you loose the minion if you win the game in that same moment. (Leeroy)
Rockbiter also has some of these problems as Doomhammer increases its damage dramatically but its as well a specific scenario that can make you rage quit (or make a rage post in Hearthpwn) if you are unlucky enough to face all combo pieces in one turn with a bad hand on your own. Specially with 2 extra PO coming from Dark Peddler.
I hate zoo deeply because of those reasons but I also love this game, so you can cry, then feel better, then face some non-zoo decks then repeating the process forever. Bye, im leaving to cry in a corner.
In my opinion the only, let's say, slightly unbalanced thing about PO is that you can get it easily from Dark Peddler. But the source of the problem is not the peddler itself, is the fact that discover mechanic gives you class cards 4 (or was it 5?) times more often, than neutral cards. And because there is only a handfull of class options, you can reliably get POs from dark peddler, Xaril, Poisoned Mind from journey from below or Shifting Shade from Museum Curator etc. Personally, I would prefer for that number to be a little slower, so you cannot get 4 copies of the same card (or 3 of the same legendary) in your deck THAT consistently. But it looks like Blizzard thinks it's fine, so we'll have to live with that:)
Btw Sylvanas and Cairne are broken you 100% times get them from museum curator
allowing 1/1 card to trade vs 3/5 taunt is overpowered. and generating 1/1 tokens in zoo isnt hard
Well good thing Execute allows you to trade a 1/1 card into a 12/12 taunt even. Well good thing Hunter's Mark allows you to trade a 1/1 into a 12/12 taunt even. But yeah, Power Overwhelming NEEDS to be nerfed as it is CLEARLY overpowered. WTF people?
I think it's stronger than most counterparts from other classes just due to the fact that its downside is not really a downside in most cases. you're either using it to burst face for lethal or trade up. It's probably equivalent to rockbiter.
Using for lethal the health/death effect doesn't matter either so it's basically 1 mana 4 damage. vs rockbiters 3 so PO is better
For trading up the minion is going to die whether it's PO (from the death effect) or the fact that the minion has less health from rockbiter (since it's usually trading up). so in almost every instance PO is better for trading up as well since it deals one more damage and in both cases the minions is most likely going to die regardless.
The one benefit that rockbiter has over PO (which is a big one) is that it doubles up as a weapon and can be used on yourself to clear minions. I think this fact alone makes them equivalent.

do warrior have 100 Tokens like zoo to trade? do warrior swarm board with Zoo-like agressive minions?
No, but hunters do have plenty of ways to generate 1/1 tokens. Sometimes they even have charge! I guess we need to make hunter's mark more mana now?
This thread does a great job of highlighting how the greater part of the Hearthstone community doesn't really understand how card games like this work. It also shows that emotion trumps logic.
Please stop taking cards in isolation. It just doesn't work that way. This "children's card game," while it can be PLAYED by people of any age and mathematical acumen, can be rather complex and nuanced beyond the grasp of many (myself included.)
That said, taking 1 card and asking "is this card OP" is a crazy proposition. While it CAN be obvious (like in the case of Dr. Boom), it usually is not and, as such, most of the thread discussions come down to personal experience and anecdotal evidence and not contextual considerations.
In other words, Zoo is annoying yet I miss secret Paladin!
It's strong yes, and no doubt the majority sticking up for PO are zoo players, but it isn't OP and dies not need a nerf. Never look at a card(s) in a vacuum but rather see it from every angle.

I main Warlock and will keep asking for PO to get nerfed to 2 mana. Used in 70.48% of Warlock decks in the past 30 days means PO=OP! I remember when soulfire used to cost 0, people defended it because of the downside of losing a card.

Some people have no clue about balance OR game design.
As for soulfire, it was fairly costed at 0 BUDGET wise, that doesn't mean the design was good. Look how much play it sees at 1 mana. Almost none, because now it's on the budget powerlevel of Succubus. :X

Let's just nerf all the cards. 30 Magma Ragers in each deck.
Seriously, there is a thread for crybabies already. Use it.

I think it's borderline op but not worth a nerf.
Nerf this! Nerf that!
There are so many threads asking to nerf every single card. JUST SHUT UP ALREADY

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

Lame shadow flame is way more broken than power overwhelming it is a borad clear for 4 mana it can do unlimited damage way better than flamesticke,
Pretty sure the real point of this thread is to get enough replies to unlock the forum achievement.
again, except that you lose you BIG minion.
Context, people. Please dont forget to take into account ALL factors and not just the salt-induced feelings.
All cards broken pls nerf
