This has good stats for a 2 drop and with Egg and Creeper leaving Standard we need some replacements in Zoo and the drawback to this getting Silenced is nowhere near as bad as when your Egg gets hit with a Silence effect.
Way back in Beta we played Soulfire (when it cost 0 Mana) and that forced us to discard and also since Beta, Zoo decks have been playing Doomguard so people need to stop worrying about the cards in your hand and use them as the resources they are rather than super important precious things that have to get the most value every single turn.

This card has NO, and I repeat NO VALUE over any other 2 drop with similar stats. It's the opposite actually, since it has NO EFFECT. It's effectively better to run a Bloodfen Raptor, and this is a CLASS CARD. Why run this over Flame Juggler or Huge Toad or anything really? It's garbage at the moment.
Strange, strange design. If this were a card with vanilla mid-range or lategame stats, I could see it being played, since you wouldn't mind it being the last card in your hand and the card draw is helpful. As a 2-drop though, you don't want to hold it.
The only logical reason I can see for this card existing is that they're planning on releasing more discard synergy in this year's remaining adventure and expansion. Unless and until there's a mechanic that manipulates your "graveyard" of discarded cards, no discard mechanic card (other than Doomguard) will see consistent play.

Soulfire? sees decent play and does good damage and is a great finisher
This is so much better than people give it credit for....but it isn't really what warlock needs. In discardlock it's insane since you can activate discard effects, but that deck probably isn't quite there yet. In zoo, it's just a little too inconsistent.
With such weak support for a discard Lock archetype, this card is just bizarre. Bloodfen Raptor is preferable. Now, maybe down the road, if more cards with on-discard effects are added, this card could be a staple, but you'd think they'd drop some discard activators at the same time as this guy.
People saying this is bad have never played any other card games. This is a cycle. While you unfortunately don't get to choose the discard, you generally get rid of a card sitting in your hand in favor of something slightly better. With an empty hand it's insanely strong. I don't think it will be played much, but wow people are really mis-understanding the value in this card.

Except this isn't cycle. You lose 2 cards and only gain 1.
There is not much value to be had unless your hand is either empty (which is a fringe case and you have life tap anyway AND it's delayed and still just a +1/+1 over loot hoarder) or they heavily push discard warlock.

You only lose one. The other card is a 3/2. You don't lose it. This is a cycle. I never said it was good. You'd never play it outside of discard lock or some kind of heavy aggro. All I'm saying is that this is so much better than people think it's crazy.

A cycle is 1 card for 1, that's why it's frigging called "cycle". Like Mortal Coil. Or Power Word: Shield or Flare. If you have more/less cards on your hand after you played the card it's not a cycle. Period.

Soulfire is cheap burst damage and I don't believe it is currently run in any mainstream decks. You might pick it from a Peddler though. Anyway, it's apples and oranges with this card, which is crap in the game as it exists today. You would not run this ahead of Flame Juggler, Toad, Ooze, or several other 2 drops.
Cycle just isn't valuable in Warlock. You have lifetap.

Still I could see it lategame in a deck that wouldn't have any cards in hand anyways

Don't read this...
It's not the worst thing to bring back with N'Zoth. It is, however, the worst thing to summon in the first place.

It's bad.
BUT it's what Fist of Jaraxxus always needed.
Shouldn't this have above vanilla stats or something?
Its fangs are in your flesh before its hiss leaves your ears.
Golden Heroes: Druid -> Rogue -> Shaman -> Hunter -> Warlock
Weird card.
Sexy art, shit card. Too bad.
