Curious what the order is for the Choose Ones. Specifically, in the case of Cenarius. Will it summon the two 2/2 Treants first, and then give all friendly minions +2/+2?
In the order listed on the card. Unfortunately, that means you only get 2/2 Treants.
Was that confirmed by Blizzard or some other reliable source? I'm just curious, since I don't really know.
Ok, I searched for it on Google, and it seems that Ben Brode said that it works like that during the stream (I didn't watch it), but I recently watched a video made by Noxious (uploaded to Youtube only a few hours ago) about the new druid cards, and he talked like if the effect always worked in an optimal way (for example, Cenarius summoning two 2/2 treants with taunt first, then giving +2/+2 to all minions, including the treants). I suppose Noxious is wrong then...
They might change the order of the choises to make more sense for this card, so the current order may not matter.
I just checked the Whispers of the Old Gods stream on Twitch, and sadly, it's true that Ben Brode said that the effect works in the order the cards are written, damn... But, I still think this is a powerful legendary card, since the order is not important for many cards with the choose one effect (and for example, both effects from a card like Power of the Wild, even if the order is not the optimal one, are still good for only two mana).
Great card but for some reason many people have this idea and notion that if a card cost a certain amount of mana (4) than you are going to have to the play the card on curve at that mana (4) slot since it costs said mana(4). Guys just because a card costs a certain amount of mana does not mean you have to play that card on curve ok... Look at the Shaman legendary, Hallazeal for example, it costs 5 mana and has a nice body but I doubt the card will be play on curve often you are usually going to want to save it and combo it with other cards.. I honestly thought this would be pretty common knowledge, I mean we are all playing the same game here right? Unless you are playing Secret Paladin on a daily basis then you seriously can't expect to curve out and fill every single mana slot every single time you que in to a match! So please people try to be a bit more realistic and think about multiple in game situations.
Also people doubt this cards value. In my opinion, as someone has already stated, this card combined with just a single Raven Idol is enough value to satisfy me. This card is really people and will see play.
The first must craft legendary for me! I have been waiting for ever for this! still not sure if wisps of the old gods can be playable, but hurray for this card!

Same here. I was going to craft Deathwing, Dragonlord first (mostly because I really like the card concept, even if it doesn't end up being a truly viable legendary in the end), but this card changed my mind.
mana 4, coin, Innervate, Innervate, Fandral, Nourish, > draw cards and next turn you are mana 7 ... i guess it's win ?. If fandral doesn't die .. ancient of lore or war next turn.
I'm sorry to say so, but a 3/5 which is most likely going to die immediately doesn't make Ancient of Lore good again. A minion that needs another legendary minion to be in the board to be worth its mana isn't good anymore...
I'm actually surprised, even though I guess I shouldn't be, that so few people in the thread actually understands this extremely simple concept. This legendary isn't nearly as strong as people seem to think it is. If it sticks on the board, it might just single handedly win you the game. The problem is that it needs to stick to the board.
It's a good card, but it sure as hell isn't meta defining. I would much rather have pre-nerf lore and keeper in my deck than this.
Not saying this is a bad card, but a bit overrated imo. From what people are saying it sounds like the next dr.boom but i think it will end up being like brann bronzebeard, a bit fringe but usually alright.

Dude, even when it's a 4 mana minion, it's really not supposed to be played when you only have that amount of mana (except if you really need to do so). It has great sinergy even with cheap cards like Wrath, Raven Idol, and even Power of the Wild (so you can play this legendary with them on turn 5 or 6, if you didn't use any ramp tool yet). What is so hard to understand?

Where do I state that it needs to be played on curve? Is there some reading comprehension issues here maybe?
The amount of people that don't understand the concept of don't just play the card because you have the mana is astounding to me. You don't HAVE to play this card on turn 4. Keep it till turn 9 and play it with claw you get a 4/6 taunt with charge/ a beefed up Starfall. Innervate with AOW for a 10/10 taunt that protects the legendary. This card is amazing.

You said this legendary isn't nearly as strong as people seems to think, because if it sticks on the board, it might single handedly win the game, but it needs to stick first. The truth is that many people think that it's great even if you just play it with one card (or more), and dies during the enemy turn; it really doesn't need to stay alive during your opponent turn to be great.

Well, there our opinions differ greatly. In terms of power, I would directly compare this to Brann Bronzebeard.
As I said, I think it's a good card. Just not nearly as good as most people seem to think.

I think this is much better than Brann Bronzebeard, because, for example, if you play a spell with the choose one effect, when this card is on the board, it is exactly like using the same spell card twice (choosing a different option each time), which is different than triggering a battlecry from a minion two times, because you are just using that effect twice, but not getting another body on the board (so, it's not exactly like playing the card two times).
I like Fandral Staghelm , although I don't expect that much from it as others do. This Card has inbuilt taunt, more than knife juggler and flamewaker and played on curve, it will be immediately the target for removal. Another issue is that I don't know how it works with the minions that have "Choose one" since I read above that the Options are carried out one after the other. Does Druid of the flame end up always as a 2/5? Is ancient of war always a 5/10 taubt? or are they a 5/5 and a 10/10 taunt respectively? Or worse, a 2/2 and a 5/5 taunt? The actual value depends on how these cards will be affected. But if you actually get a 4/6 taunted charger and a 10/10 taunt for 7 mana, the value can be insane (and Druid will be able to regain a lost board).
Very good will be the spells like Wisps of the Old Gods . Same effect as Rafaams Mirror of Doom just for 3 mana less. Or a Starfall. 7 damage to one, 2 damage to all other minions for 5 mana. or 9 mana, and a 3/5 Body on top.
BUT, he has to stay on the board. And I do not think that he usually will. So I guess, the best is to Combo him with innervate and a big Card or several small Cards in the lategame. Anyway, that is a Card I am going to craft, if I do not get him in the first 50 packs...

druid of the flame ends up a 5/5, ancient of war ends up a 10/10 taunt,
What I really like about him is his cost. There was a time when the only legendary you would see before turn 7 was Bloodmage Thalnos.
Actually that's not true at all, Druid have been slapped hard with the nerf bat and this opens up a lot of really exciting combos. I'm pretty excited about deal 2 damage and get 2 free trees on the low end and all the possibilities mentioned above. There is also a slightly stronger case for keeping the nerfed cards rather than disenchant them because of this card.

9.5/10
good stats, amazing artwork, dank ability
